Nope, just a torp spammer.

I play for fun and I reckon I'm hitting about 90% WR on that metric
-
Let's just say that you're unlucky. Any team is going to have a spread of skilled players. Just make sure that they are aware of what to do and what not to do. A noob team player is not going to learn anything or do most things correctly if not told or asked kindly. It may not pay off for you in that particular match, but down the line it may well do. And remember, when you make a mistake, or did a mistake in the past, and die early would you like to be punished or judged as a poor player?
-
No. The scoring must encourage good team play. The side who plays best wins 90% or more most times. Lone wolves on a losing side who just go out to gain as much XP for themselves shouldn't receive more or an equal amount than a good team player on the winning side. For example the guy who has had to escort a CV or BB the whole match and hasn't had the chance to get into individual combat, but has protected the team's prized assets. Also, the ones with the lowest XP shouldn't be "punished" for being anvil dropped by a CV in the first 5 minutes of a match or be punished for being hit with a Detonation in their first round of salvoes with an enemy.

Don't see too much wrong with the first three. The last is a bit fucked because of fail divisions. However, why can't you be happy topping the boards as you say that you are. Best player in the world isn't going to swing it for a side of unskilled, unknowledgeable players. On the other hand if you are one of those players who is just out playing for their self and their own XP gain regardless of helping the team win then maybe you might look at your tactics as a possible game changer for a better win ratio. I'm not saying you are either case, I'm just giving possible options. I myself I think went on a 9 game losing streak and it's easy to blame MM or your teams, but you got to remember that you and I were part of those losing teams and did we call out when help was needed for others or even go to help or did we at endgame go sailing off for the final kill rather than turn around and take an easy cap instead? Play it for the fun of playing and play for the long term goals you set yourself. That way you are less dependant on others and won't get so easily frustrated

Cruisers actually screening - who knew it'd work

So I'm curious. Once all these people who put XP gain over teamplay have got all their tier 10s and they have all the modules they want, will they then start playing for the team or will they then consider that they have won the game and leave? -
This is the BS of WG. It is entirely possible for friends to play together at the tier level of the lowest tier level ship in their division. Most times I've seen this happen and other people on the team have flamed them, the offending team are new to the game and had no idea that the MM wouldn't compensate for the mismatch in tier.

So DDs just got nerfed AGAIN? Hydroacoustic Search skill added to cruisers.
Sybeck replied to Figment's topic in General Discussion
Out of interest how did you know that he was specifically using it and/or that he or something else hadn't spotted you or he was just doing a precautionary evasive manoeuvre anyway from your torpedoes ? As others have said, no sane CA captain is going to give up the AA buff for this and it's a useless tool if you know what you're doing when DDs are around. -
I was poking around the textures folders earlier and saw that the ship textures alone are 4096 x 4096! No wonder some people are slow loading into the game.

Why do I get the feeling that your attention span won't even stretch as far as the first reply to your post.

Definitely looks like a desync issue though as Nethraniel points out you maybe having some graphics problem too. I noticed your FPS hardly goes above 20 FPS and most times it's averaging around 12-15FPS. Try playing at the lowest graphics setting possible and see if that improves the situation on top of the advice that you've already been given.

MM seems to be working fine up to tier 6 with a few exceptions, usually caused by late night low server population or people who insist on forming a division with others of lower tier than themselves. On that point why can't WG make it a rule that you can only form a division of the same tier ships? The present system only allows the misguided in or people who want to garner more XP at the expense of the rest of the team; I see no benefit at all for the team or the game in allowing uneven divisions in. Anyway, if MM is still doing crazy things in 2 months time when the higher tiers have larger populations then I will worry and complain. As of now it's just a phase we have to grow through and accept that it's not ideal, but it will pass in time. *crosses fingers*

So what's next? Pensecola is op? Bcs if you think Cleveland was op you have a whole load of pain waiting for you at the next tier. Welcome to the world where crap shoots back. Btw Cleveland was nerfed for other reasons not it's AA.
-
Interesting, thanks for that I'll investigate as I've never run Trim though I've swapped a lot of stuff in and out of the drive.
-
Why was the ship painted white though?
-
French flag goes Blue-White-Red.
-
Why do you assume French? Could be Dutch or Luxembourg flag too. It looks like the harbour at Malta so might have something to do with that...idk, just guessing. [edit] oops just seen the caption says Malta

But I am running WoWS off a SSD and I occasionally still get the problem the OP refers to.
-
Well without knowing all those people's connection setups, speeds, ISP providers and distance from game server then you can't categorically rule out a server side problem, but I don't see how it's a HD/SSD issue unless somebody can explain to me how it is. For the record I'm running WoWS off a SSD and I run into this problem in about 10%-20% of matches. In addition I'm on i7 quads 3.4Ghz, 16g RAM with an ASUS nVidia GTX680 card. I have 100/10 down and up speeds and WoWS is totally 100% approved on my firewall so go figure *shrug*
-
I too would like to know how this is a PC, HD or SSD issue. This has always seemed to me a server side problem that has some bottlenecking issue. If I can load in 20-25 secs in some battles and then join late in others while nothing has changed on my PC, e.g. new programs running in background, then the problem would point to a server side issue in my mind. I'm presuming all maps, models and textures are clientside so they should be insta-loading regardless of whether you have HD or SSD taking into account that you have a reasonable setup.

Why are teamkillers allowed into games while tagged as teamkillers? Just had a match where we had a player called ********* in an Omaha, he's tagged pink and I watched him from the start sail directly to our only CV in a 2v1 CV match up, draw alongside it and then let off all his torpedoes. CV sunk, teamkiller out too and before we even see any enemy we are two down and up against 2 CVs. I know a teamkill can happen by accident, but crap like this can't be allowed. 1st teamkill should result in a one hour suspension. Tough maybe, but even bad players who do it by accident might learn to be more careful next time. 2nd teamkill in 24 hrs should get a 24 hr suspension and a 3rd should get the guy suspended indefinitely pending an appeal by him.

Why should it be English? Your lack of grammar, spelling and writing abilities doesn't make it look that appealing. I assume if people are writing in a foreign language then it's because they don't write English very well, like yourself. So what's the point in forcing them to write it if they can't?
-
No doubt due to the number of staff that they have to keep on top of it. If they employed more people to deal with more complaints then their overheads would go up and maybe this wouldn't be so free to play anymore. On the other hand if people stopped being [edited]...oh wait.

I like big CVs and I cannot hide, all you peewee captains can't deny...

So there were no spotter planes in alpha or alpha testers didn't think to use them? Agree with post though. -
This is a damned if you damned if you don't scenario that happens occasionally. You decide to escort CV and then see two possible TB attacks turn away (Cleveland in my case) and you think ok I'll go find a BB to look after and then 5 mins later WHAMMO the CV you were watching gets sunk because you moved away. So in your next game the same thing happens and you become more doubtful about whether you should move away again. No real solution to this dilemma just a matter of judgement I guess and hard luck if it doesn't work in your favour.
