I think the new 'personal rating' statistic the WoWs stat sites have begone to use tells a better story of how well or consistent you play. But certain ships like the Atlanta will wreck your stats, so just play for yourself and have fun, and set you self some goals. Currently i'm cleaning up my stats after 120+ games in the Atlanta, i'm also grinding the Baltimore were you have to be lucky to get a kill and decent damage before the DD or BB's end you. So now i just focus on damage per game and kill/death ratio, the win rate is just a bonus.

Would be great if there were subs that attacked the wall riders

I would get the 'survivability expert' or 'demolition expert' as both of those ships are gun boats. But for the Mahan i would get the 2800+ HP as your concealment sucks, and the Benson wouldn't suffer from more HP either. But fire chance or HP buff that is a tough choice but for a DD HP is more important IMO. Also this might be a bit to late but Vigilance is very good too, when you are playing in DD's that are spotted at about 7km as the damn IJN DD's sneaks around you, and trops are deadly to a DD, btw you could use premium consumables (smoke) instead of superintended. And don't bother with the AFT as you can't hit anything reliable at ranges over 10-11 km with the USN 127mm guns due to the bad shell arcs.

I think the price is set by the amount of work that goes into creating it, sure a Tank camo is cheaper, but then you have to think of the scale between a tiny tank and a huge ship. WG already said that their ship models are slow to make and due to the amount of details which is slowing them down. So in WG's twisted way of thinking about it then they could in theory justify the price. BUT i highly doubt anyone sane would buy it... it is just to much for one single ship.

I actually think the New Orleans is better than the Baltimore as the Baltimore has terrible shell arcs, the 4,6 RoF is a joke when compared to the Roon. But the New Orleans and Baltimore does has the advantage over the Pensacola as they can fire 6/9 of their guns from the front and making them nearly unpenable by AP shells, so they can avoid showing their weak broardside.

I already tested and posted the stats for the Anshan on the last page http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/41343-undetectable-destroyer-firing-capabilities-excel-table/page__st__40__pid__849087#entry849087 And as for the Lo Yang then it should be identical to the Benson C-hull upgaded, only difference i see is the that the Lo Yang only has 14,600 HP whereas the the Benson B-C-hull has 15,400 HP. The guns look to be identical, but the Lo Yang has hydroacoustic search to make up for the lower HP pool. So i'm fairly sure the Lo Yang is the has the same stats as the Benson when it comes to detection, but i can't be sure as i only own the Benson, as i bought the Anshan instead of it.

The new 'survivability expert' perk is a great add-on for the Baltimore as it gives it 3600 HP more being the ship up from 42700 HP to 46300 HP which is a ton for a cruiser that relatively well amourred, and add the repair party to that and it is a strong ship, only a shame the second front turret nearly always gets destroyed when you angle ahead on to a BB, it is a big problem for this ship, as the turrets never seem to get knocked out they just get destroyed. Also did the math on the stealth firing for this ship, the gun detection add's 6,1 km to the surface detection, so with the range mod. when you can shoot 18,4 km then and have a 1,3 km window for stealth firing as you are detected again at 17,1 km. And with the concealment perk this with you surface concealment drops to 9,68 km and add the 6,1 km to that you can fire at 15,78 km without being spotted a huge plus for a ship like this. I hope you find this as useful as i do ;)

Do you also hear the Windows notification sound right before it goes black were you only can see the mouse? Those game coders really need to step it up, and test their crap before they release it on the live servers.

Okay, yea it is a nice boat i really enjoy playing it alongside my Kamikaze R. And yes Anshan needs to be played more relaxed you can't just charge the enemy head on, as you and likely to be spotted my super sneaky DD's than spot you 0,6 to 1 km before you do, but once you find the way to play it well it is a very good ship, but it does suffer abit from being tier 6 as it is often going up against tier 8 ships. I posted my first battle in it earlier in the thread, 4 kills and a ton of XP, but now i only seem to do 1-2 kill, but i guess i need to work on when to use AP, as the AP is very good but it is also very on/off.

BTW. the Anshan's premium camo. gives you +100% free XP while also giving +50% XP and -3% detection, so that is another very good reason to get it. So my conclusion is that the Anshan is worth every penny, so get it while you can!

Nope, not at all, The Gremy is much more OP in nearly everything so you should just be happy you were lucky enough to buy one of them. Only real difference is the amour and the +100% free XP camo bonus.

That Anshan is a really great ship, it's amour is much better than the other Russian DD's so you are less likely to have a turret knocked out, to say i have only lost a 1 turret in 15 battles when Mr. Fuso got angry. The only real downside to the ship is the tier and the concealment as you often have to fight super stealthy IJN DD's - but then again you have the perfect package to deal alot of damage. Btw. you also need Superintended for the extra smokes and engine boost which is a must for gunboat DD's. So i would get Situational awareness, BFT, Expert marksman, Superintended, Demolistion expert, and then Concealment. And don't go for the repair perk, just use premium repair and smoke as the Anshan can take hits without falling apart. Oh and stealth firing is only possible after 12,9 km, so i don't think the AFT is worth it plus you only have 4 guns.

I would get range, but do remember that WG resets the captains perks when they change the perks in patch 0.5.3, so you get a second chance to choose the right perks. Btw the new Anshan amour makes it more durable, but just get the premium repair and smoke, you earn more than enough to justify it. But i would go situational awareness, BFT, expert marksman, superintended, AFT, and concealment ;)

Very true, but i have more fun in a gun boat than i have sneaking around in a IJN DD that can't defend itself, i still think the Anshan is a great buy, and ship i even think is better than my Blyskawica as it is more usable and has better guns that do good HE and AP damage to anything and not to forget it is a small ship so it is harder to hit. The techtree thing isn't an issue, it i just a matter of time before i get a good captain myself but i'll have alot of fun getting it as the Anshan is a fun ship to play ;)

Do remember that there is a the commander X3 experience until the 16th, so it could happen faster than you know, plus when the Kamikaze's flood the servers then the Anshan will be there to clean them up

As far as i know it is only some of the new premium ships that get additional bonus's like the Anshan's +100% free XP This was my was my first match today, and in the Anshan for that matter, but it is just an improved Gnevny so it is better than the Orgnovoi imo. but the turret amour is real on this this, i have not had a single turret knocked out in 8 matches. It is a big buy it is a more or less a upgraded premium Russian DD, the Chinese only made it better, and you can feel it, so get it while you can!
