It's cool to see the Kamikaze in action, but this Baron guy is a coward he could have wiped out the whole right front if he knew how to play the game...
-
No problem i wanted to know that too, i have just finished updating the thread so you check it there, the Gremy is way to OP even if it were a tier 6 destroyer.

Undetectable Destroyer Firing Capabilities Excel Table
Beardroid91 replied to xPiiRaTeD's topic in Destroyers
Time to add the tier 6 Anshan premium DD concealment 7 km Air detection 3,6 km firing range 11,9 km gun detection increase 5,9 km stealth firing possible at 12,9+ km (would need AFT) The Gremy is still way to OP with it's 3,8 km gun detection increase it should have been nerf'ed with the rest of the Russian DD's. -
I think it is either 3,8 or 5,9 km i haven't tested this yet, and i can see the dedicated thread for stealth firing DD's hasn't been updated with the Anshan's stats. But i'll see if i can test it in a training room later today. edit. It is 5,9 km detection increase you fire your guns, so you need AFT do it as need to be at 12,9+ km to stealth shoot. So the Gremy is way to OP as it only has 3,8 km increase, WG should have nerf'ed it along side all the other Russian DD's.

I gave into temptation and bought the Anshan, great little multi-role destroyer. Btw. did any of you notice that the Anshan has a fair bit more amour that the Gnevy and Gremy has? Here is a more detailed comparison: http://forum.worldofwarships.eu/index.php?/topic/44029-anshan-v-gnevny-v-gremyashchy-comparison/ Well i have compared them all. Gnevny Anshan Gremy Health 13.900 14.400 13.100 For/end hull 10mm 16mm 10 Gun mount 10-13mm 13-16mm 6-10mm Deck 13mm 16mm 13mm Speed 38 knots 38 knots 37 knots Turning radius 610m 610m 510m Rudder shift time 4,4 sec 4,4 (3,5) sec 2,7 sec *Anshan with 'Steering-gears mod. 2' Torpedoes: Gnevny Anshan Gremy Reload speed 70 sec 70 sec (79 sec) 69 sec Torp. damage 14400 14400 14400 Torp. speed in knots 64 (65) 65 (60) 55 Torp. range 4 km 4 km (8 km) 8 km AA guns: Gnevny Anshan Gremy AA rating 11 20 12 AA guns 2x1 12,7mm, 2x2 12,7mm, 3x1 37mm and 2x1 76mm 4x2 37mm 2x1 12,7mm, 2x2 12,7mm, 4x1 37mm and 2x1 76mm AA range 2 km 3,5 km 2 km Guns: Gnevny Anshan Gremy Rotation speed 36 sec 30 sec 36 sec HE damge 1600 1600 1900 Fire chance 7% 7% 9% Besides the un nerf'ed HE damage, fire chance and rudder shift time then the Anshan is the better destroyer as a ship, as the gun turrets are less likely to be knocked out plus it has much better anti-air guns. So my conclusion is that the Anshan is worth every penny, so get it while you can!

That will be very close then as only 138K pearls to go, but i bet it go up another 50-60 K pearls tomorrow, so you might have enough time for get the last pearls you need ;)
-
Exactly what is wrong with the gun arc, i just bought the Aurora and this was my first battle i'd say it is a very OP ship as i got 13 fires with 100 hits with the 8% fire chance guns. So i like it better than my St. Louis and it shows, 6 kills first match of the day in a completely new ship i'd say that is pretty good ;)

Project R - how do you feel we are doing?
Beardroid91 replied to ilhilh's topic in General Discussion
Last monday night they were reset at 2am CET so that would be 1am GMT, so for those that still need the extra pearls then staying up late for the reset will be worth it as i bet we will reach the goal before noon on Monday But that is a big if as we are at 9.654.688 pearls, so i doubt it'll even get a reset as the weekend players have yet to claim their pearls. -
What ships do you guys have a Love-Hate Relationship with?
Beardroid91 replied to SeaMonsterUK's topic in General Discussion
Atlanta - you either die fast, or you kill everything you see. -
WG USA does give their players more than the lazy a**'ed WG EU team does.. like the USA player also got 4 million credits for reaching 4 million pearls, i'm pretty sure that is a fair bit more that WG EU gave us. Also saw that WG USA is going to run another event like this for the tier 2 IJN premium DD Tachibana. So i'm getting tired of WG USA running the Twitter and Youtube account for WoWs and show us things we can't get as we are on a server with sadly to many translating delays...

Probably -3% detection and +50% XP gain, but the Emden only had +30% XP so something like that.

No the 2000 DD's in the raffle when have over 150 pearl is the Kamikaze not the R version, the Kamikaze R is given to those who managed to collect over 260 pearls, and some claim that the raffle only goes from 150 to 259 pearls for the Kamikaze. A random guess would be well over 15000 Kamikaze R's, but some people might just sell it for money and the portslot. And yes it will be a nightmare, just like ranked was when people figured out DD's worked best there, but CV's will be able to nuke the Kamikaze as the ship only has 2x1 7,7mm anti-air guns at a rating of 1, so the Kamikaze could end up being target practice for the decent CA and CV's captains.
-
Had the same thought, but i was thinking more in terms of letting the late comers get a chance to complete their mad rush to get the pearls, but i could easily get the 57 extra pearls and club some seals in my Isokaze in proces, but it is both good and bad to wait as i really want that boat in my port as i sold the Minekaze last week.
-
I think the total will rise 10-40K more over the weekend and then explode monday afternoon as everyone rushes to get the last pearls grinded before the total is reached.
-
The event ends when the 10 millionth pearl have been grinded. If i were you and really wanted the ship then i would stay up late to 2am CET when WG releases the new weekly missions and then you could try to catch up, the weekly missions gives about 57 pearls so it might be a longshot, but then again all the players manday night is drunk and stoned so it is easy kills, or you get up early but then everyone else is awake. Anyway that's what i did last monday night i played all the weekly missions as i expected everyone would rush to reach the goal ;D

The Atlanta is a very situational ship, it sucks 85% of the time and the last 15% it is fantastic. But it needs alot of buff's Engine speed should 3-4 knots faster, it should have a smokescreen consumable, and the gun arc is WAY to high versus other USN DD's, and the rudder needs to be faster as some BB's can out corner it as the Atlanta handles as a battleship and it is slow of heck as it has a tiny engine. And the current AA is a joke when the DF-AA consumable is on colddown, so it needs to get the quadmounted Bofor 40mm guns.

Yes i have the mod that shows the tech tree's so here they are ;) Fujin, Kamikaze and Kamikaze R
-
Yes, the Fujin (Halloween edition), Kamikaze and Kamikaze R is identical in spec's only difference being the camo pattern.
-
Lol how did i not notice this sooner, i guess i'm going blind xD i'll edit all the posts to be correct, no idea why i got it in my head that it should be with (i and not the a) lol... will be fixed.
-
Possibly, but it would be cooler to have a special ship that is limited to 2000 ships and not like the R version which probably 10 to 20 K EU players have secured by now.
-
Well in theory everyone with 260+ should be regarded the same as those with only 150+ pearls as these are different ships, so i think it is for everyone with 150+ pearls, but we shall soon find out. I'm kind of hoping i could win a normal Kamikaze as the R versions camo is ugly xD The ship that is in the raffle is the Kamikaze and the ship you get guaranteed is the Kamikaze R as a bonus, so all with over 150 pearls should be in the raffle for the normal Kamikaze.
-
That's true, my head can't figure out how much a (+1 °/sec) turret speed will be, when the ingame ship stats work in seconds, so in any case i translated you post into more comparable stats ;) That were true for the Minekaze as it has a 30s turret turn speed, but i think alot of IJN DD captains forget to use their guns, and i know i always use the guns in my favorite DD the Isokaze, but that could just be me. But when i meet other IJN DD's they all seem to forget they have guns on their boats. But yes torps will be the main amourment of the Kamikaze, guns are only for close range torps knife fights where the other DD don't expect to be burned to death, but the 8% fire chance.
-
I guess you didn't look that well, they are very different ships and have different playstyles, and the Minekaze is still the better overall in spec's. Minekaze (fully upgraded) Fujin, Kamikaze and Kamikaze R Turret speed 30,0s 25,7s Speed in knots 39,0 37,5 Rudder shift time 2,1s 2,9s Ship health 10,900 11,100 Concealment (surface and Air) 6,0 - 3,1 6,0 - 3,1 Anti-air rating and guns (9) 2x1 13,2mm, 1x1 13,2mm and 1x2 25mm (1) 2x1 7,7mm There is no AA guns worth anything on the Kamikaze DD's so they are CV prey ! Also the Kamikaze might actually be able to use it guns quite decently in gun-duels as those would be able to turn fast'ish with the 'expert markman' and 'basic firing training' perks. But i think Kamikaze R will act as a upgraded Isokaze, as the Isokaze could use its guns very well and the Minekaze well.. it never really could do anything with its guns.

It's quite simple to do well in a destroyer, look at the ships concealment and torpedo ranges before you leave the port, and then stay within your concealment as much as possible, and don't sent all your torp's in the same direction, do one in the grey and then some alittle before or after it. And most of all be aware of your surroundings and friendly ships. ;)
