    yes, it's earning at least 2500XP in a single game, ship doesn't matter. Best way to do it is probably play DD and cap all the things...

    I was thinking about making this very poll, just more detailed. I'd have given five options: I: 1) want only Domination, trash Standard! 2) prefer Domination, but a few Standards are fine. 3) like both equally 4) prefer Standard, but a few Domination are fine. 5) want only Standard, trash Domination. that would probably give a better picture...

    yeah, because none of those cruisers have torpedoes they can use in those situations, which will turn a whole lot faster than the battleship's guns since he does not know he's sneaking up on anything usually... sure, there are situations where this will help BBs a lot, but the same goes for all the other classes. It's a highly unpredictable thing in my experience - not really random, but you don't know beforehand who will benefit in what way.

    more nimble than the US cruisers? rofl... you've got some veeeeery strange perception there my friend! That's the one thing (besides armour) that Shchors and Chappy don't do well. New Orleans has 50% better rudder shift , and the turning circle on the Chappy is as large as that on Yamato. Other than that, yes those guns are amazeballs - on the Shchors myself for now, but that is enough of a beast that I can very much imagine the joys of the Chappy with Radar and Concealment Expert (which I'll have before I get her).

    two more key tips that I haven't seen mentioned - if i missed them I apologize! 1) always look through the enemy team list before the battle, especially their BBs, and find out which ones are Stock - those almost always have completely garbage AA. You can see that easily by just mousing over their ship icon in the load screen and then paying attention to their AA score. 2) Save the really tough targets (like Colorados or especially NCs) for later in the battle when they've been battered by HE a bit - that will knock down a lot of their AA, making your approach much much easier.
  11. thing is, at least for me, it's not so much asking them to change something about this very event. It's more voicing a general concern about their approach to an entire game mode, with multiple factors making Team Battles more and more unattractive - for no real reason on their side that I can discern. And that's the very game mode that came out to a lot of fanfare from their side to push WoWS competitive play to the next level - so why would they want to make it so unattractive? That's what I don't get.

    that's one of two things. Wargaming trolling gullible people, or assets for a special game mode where they need subs. They have said a million times that subs won't make it into the base game.

  14. kinda annoyed that Team Battles don't count for this - it's not like those gave any kind of reasonable rewards already, why try to keep people out of them even more? are you trying to make that mode fail or what...
  15. yeah, and I agree with you that in some other regards their record is nowhere near flawless (which still just makes them a) human and thus fallible, and b) a company that wants to make money - the things I have seen so far can all be explained by a combination of those two, whether we like them or not )

  17. I'll definitely go for Smith first, been waiting for that thing ever since it was first datamined. After that, I'll see what's in budget - maybe Tachibanananananana, or maybe the Flags packs, or a port slot. Will probably depend on how much of my life Stellaris will suck out of me when it inevitably wins the Tug-of-War against WoWS at least for a time
  18. I've been here since the start of open beta, you padawan. And in WoWS they have always, to my knowledge, fixed that type of error to everyone's satisfaction.
  19. there's no need to prove anything. They have their servers. They have the data. They have always, when something like this went wonky, fixed it quickly and gave everyone eligible their rewards.

    true dat - they don't need to, no matter whether we like it or not question is now: how "reliable" is it that one will come with 5.6? I was about to pay to respec out of Torp Acceleration for my Kagero when the guy gets his 15th point... And also curious what will come with 5.6 that will "justify" a free respec!
  21. yeah that I can agree with... although, the requirements to get something neat out of it don't seem that steep to me. I mean, yeah sure to get the maximum 1000 Diamonds (or close to that) you need to grind pretty damn hard, more than I will be doing almost certainly. But something like 300 or even 500 pearls should be very doable if one plays throughout the month. There's 100 Diamonds to be had in the weeklies, and if the current ones are any indication two or three of those are really easy. 10 wins? 10 games in carriers? 10 kills in a T5? piece of cake spread out over a week (well except if you hate CVs out of principle, but even then the other weeks should give you an alternative to that). So that's, let's call it... 250 diamonds to be had by playing a bit over five weeks if you do half the weeklies each time? Maybe more depending on what exactly the other weeklies will look like? And then you can get another 100 diamonds by playing 100 matches over 35 days - less than three games average per day. Also very very doable. And that will be enough to get you a neat little premium ship, or a bunch of flags and premium time...
  22. what? you'd take a couple of flags (because that's pretty much it in terms of rewards judging by that page...) over all the stuff we get, which even includes more flags than they get if you put in a bit of effort? some people...

    Fletcher / Benson Captain

    had the same issue, sure as heck wasn't going to sell my Benson. Captain was also approaching 15pts. So, well I just plain stole my Iowa captain (who was at that time also aproaching 15pts) for the Fletch... bit of retraining and now both ships sail happily along with Concealment Expert, while the Iowa kinda rusts in port but with still a decent 11pt (I think) captain stolen from something lower down, NewMex maybe...
