that might be better for everyone involved...

error 404 not even an attempt at balance found. You want upsides pretty much everywhere. And despite that, your concept with all its imbalances doesnt even seem fun - 21kts no turret traverse and it's supposed to be a brawler? U wot m8? Plus which, we already have the NewMex and Arizona, so how would you justify the need for a third clone? So overall, nope to the content of your suggestion. Thumbs up for the effort put into it though - very easy and convenient to read, even if I dont agree!

Do you want submarines in the game?
Tyrendian89 replied to BanzaiPiluso's topic in General Discussion
Simple answer. Nope. -
but the real question is... do they have pineapples on deck?

aaaand to literally nobody's surprise, the OP hasn't returned to his thread...

didnt know about the specifics of this one, but there are a whole bunch of similar RL locations scattered all around the various maps. WG map designers/artists do like their easter eggs it seems, and good on them!

How can I become quality poster, community rep or privateer?

THAT has been obvious for a long long time... I mean, have you heard of the Platypus? -
did he at least rage at you in chat for being a cheater and avoiding his torps? you know, the mark of a true professional...

well, at least he's consistent in the biblical amounts of his threads provide time and time again... gotta give him credit for that

you should really know the basic mechanics of pen and riccochet... at 30° angle of impact you autobounce everything that doesnt overmatch. Note that there may still be corner cases where you are theoretically angled enough but the shell hits a particular plate that isnt, or he just shoots your superstructure full of AP to get a bunch of regular pens. But in your example above, he must've gotten at least one or two citadels - so you must've overangled a bit at some point (Kremlin guns do have very good pen, so they're not half bad at punishing even relatively slight mistakes in angling. and why would that be? there's training rooms you know... either get a friend to test it with you, or if none of them have the ship you can always take a stationary but aggressive bot and practice your angling against that...

____falken____ Game rework.Make players play old unused ships.
Tyrendian89 replied to ____FALKEN____'s topic in General Discussion
we've been asking for this for years now, to no avail sadly... gotta keep trying I guess :D This idea I do really like - could be adapted in a number of ways depending on what exactly WG wants to achieve with it, but I like the core concept. just speaking for myself here - not really. I have a bunch of ships in port that I either kept because "hey this was kinda fun/interesting, maybe I'll want to play this again some time in the future" or because I rebought it for some specific occasion (Operation or something) - but that are now collecting dust because I dont have an incentive to take them out for a spin. This idea would provide that incentive. -
so much that that does not happen. simple as that. If he does that to you, you failed. He does not overmatch your hull, so to eat citadels you have to have overangled - and Kremlin doesnt have any special pen angles either. And you failing to damage him also just means he played better than you did...

Naval Training Center - Ideas & suggestions
Tyrendian89 replied to Crysantos's topic in General Discussion
one high-level/expensive perk I'd like to see would be to turn the ship into the equivalent of a premium with regards to putting a captain into it without retraining them every time -
Have you guys seen the graphs from CC Summit 2019 presentation by WG!
Tyrendian89 replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
And I can pretty much guarantee you that whatever graphs you, I or anyone else on these forums could come up with if we had that data, would be just as flawed and biased, intentionally or not. So yeah, I think it's much better that WG doesnt give us this level of detailed information - wouldnt help any balance discussions one bit, would just give people a lot more clubs to hit eachother over the head with... -
Are you willing to BOYCOTT Wargaming products untill they cancel the Naval Training Centre initiative is officially cancelled?

this. the million whine threads are tiresome enough as is, but then this much lack of clue... -
those two have nothing in common except that they're both vaguely set in space in some way... happy to offer suggestions, but you'll have to give some better indications of what you are looking for

except that system was introduced in Planes pretty recently, long after "the game died"

oh, I'd still slap the likes of you silly, of that I have no doubt doesnt mean I have any interest in this happening - why would I?

ST, Naval Training Center, free Premium Consumables and improvement of the matchmaker.
Tyrendian89 replied to Tanatoy's topic in Development Blog
not the only way, no. As I also said in the other thread, I'd much prefer cosmetic over economic benefits... Economic benefits are just about the last thing I need or would grind for. I mean, seriously, when you're at the stage of having most T10s so you'd even be interested in doing this, what do you need more credits/XP for? You'd literally be throwing massive amounts of those very ressources out of the window to get there... that seems almost as daft as WG's concept to be honest -
How am I supposed to imagine that? I shout at my AA crews really really loudly. They go AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Then they slowly come to their senses and gradually understand what I wanted, and carry out the "order" or what? On a more serious note, dont see a glaring flaw with this concept at first glance - will see how it works in progress before deciding whether I like it or not
-
Seconded. I dont want those kinds of huge advantages. But if you introduce this system, you'll also leave people no choice because it's not any better to just be massively outmatched by what is supposed to be the same ship. Plus, this breaks any chance of playing a variety of ships competitively - you force players to specialise... If anything, this actually REDUCES the chance of me grabbing an old favourite for a quick spin because I have no interest in getting shat on by the same ship that's just inexplicably superior to mine.
-
I wouldnt get too hung up on the numbers they mention in that article of theirs - those seem beyond idiotic (for one, the second "upgrade" would have effectively zero benefit to a Worcester but pretty massive for, say a Stalingrad (dispersion) or Zao (dispersion plus torps) ). But the entire concept of giving (significant!) power boosts for veterans just seems... daft. Why wouldn't they make this about cosmetics? Sure, effort for the art team, but... I would still be tempted to re-grind a few lines if I got an awesome exclusive look (probably more than "just" a camo, I'm thinking along the lines of the Space/Halloween Skins in terms of impact, just probably not as outlandish...) out of it.

I dont have the ship, but... you're not my mum Kinda stands to reason that you Neustra would feel like it loses more turrets (whether that's actually true or not), for several reasons. With its superheal, it tends to live a lot longer and take a lot more shells than most other DDs could survive Cappy/Scrappy/Fighty playstyle (assuming a vaguely competent captain, which is a given in this case^^) also adds to the number of hits you take With only two turrets, you of course feel the loss a lot more keenly than, say, a Harugumo would So, even if the turrets are not particularly vulnerable per se, I have no trouble believing that it might at least give the impression of losing turrets all the bloody time. Anyone remember the early days of Ognevoi, the very ship that caused WG to... what? Double turret HP a patch or two later because it was so incredibly frustrating?
