Yeah Planes can not combat planes at the moment. They actual only thing you can do as a CV to counter planes is drop the Fighter Consumable and that needs timing and experience to do anything, Coincidently i had my first Hosho Battle yesterday since i reset the line thats out of the blue double to what i was able to do before and that is including "oh look an underaged destroyer lets drop him with torpedos" It was a double cv game and the other CV was also Semi Competent so he waited for my torpedo drop and then crossdropped 4 ships together with me..... It just feels brutally wrong :/ -

Then do so till than you litteraly are not in the best Position to evaluate how this CVs impact Randombattles. What conicidently is the topic here.... It does not even matter how good or bad langley does in that regard, the Issue pointed out is that in conjunction with the Naval Research Thingy people reset the Carriers and end up with skilled captains on a carrier that does not face stiff enough opposition and or AA to Combat the Threat posed by it. Additionally inexperienced players will have no idea or clue what to do against them. That would be like me throwing a right hook your way knocking you out could and say nothing to how to avoid it. Its just plain stupid how it is. -

Enterprise you can fight back at least. If you have a decent AA and some skill you can avoid much. Hosho meets ships that do not even sport a single AA Barrel.... that takes one defense off, and then you get dreadnoughts with slow turning speeds and large circles.... heck it is even hard to dodge accelerated torpedoes in a dd or in Yubari.... You simply do NOT have the tools to defend against a skilled player. -

Please enlighten the player base how stock T3 and T4 Ships with unexperienced players and a turning circle like a bathtub fully loaded avoid nearly endless Dual Accelerated Torpedo spam by experienced players. I really look forward to that explaination. -

Well it reads like a Internetissue. I mean i know you can't do anything in the freeze up maybe try to tab out if it does Tab out it ususally doesn't concern your hardware or machine but try to monitor it via ressource monitor... you find that one in the task manager. Open it and take a look at it after a freeze -

Is simply do not wish or see a reason to invest anything to jump any of this low tier ships. So i play 1-2 Games and Club some poor seals very hard. Same goes for ships like Kirov or Budyonny that i played recently , it wasn't even funny how much easier it is to play this ships agains inexperienced players... So yeah rest to T6 makes a lot more sense, there are enough clubbing guys allready on tour on the low tiers. Though its a childish delight to F up their Clubbing matches by pointedly taking them out. -
New York has a good AA Suite Koenig is okay too. Other than that Omaha is not that strong AA wise. emerald is not to bad. Nicolas comes with DEF AA so she is stronkh.... Did i miss any? don't think so.

Does the game itself stop rendering or does the ship just stop the sea still gets rendered and everything else and then suddenly starts moving again? If you have the described above it definitely is your Internet Conncetion sadly. There has been a massive load due to windows 10 updates in the backround lately , assuming you run windows 10 check if it had some updates. Also GPU does not work like that. If it gets into trouble rendering it will drop stuff and not freeze and not play catch up afterwards it will stop calculating stuff all together and you will see some bad errors. -
No reason to, you ask for help. You shall receive. So Average Damage is to low? Well there "could" be more of course. But Damage is a metric that improves with the overall Gameplay. Learning to position set ambushs in Destroyers. Learning how to move and Position on the Map. etc. Premiumships do not grant an advantage in terms of Gameplay as they are mostly a diffrent Option of the maintree. So yeah. Play the Silverships learn how they behave and then conclude how you have to play against them. It really is a process, most players behave a certain way. Try to adapt a little to that and learn the ships of your Tier :) that really is all one could say to you. Watching Youtube helps but you have to keep in mind the Guys that make videos have a lot of the aforementioned stuff nailed down.

Also it should not reset you down to the DDs.... I am sure my oponent was very entertained by 3 Crosdropped Torpedoes in his south carolina... And yeah hosho is way to strong at the moment Worst thing i have seen is a mediocre cv player cracking some 200k something damage in it. And that gets celebrated... so beyond me how this is "wanted" or "okay". Hosho doesn't see T5 very often exeter isn't a valid option as suggested. You can go Yubari to self defend but a good player will ignore you and her 3 DEF AAs will run out. -

How about you run the line you talk about completely down, once you have done that you have the whole picture of the Branch and then can ask again about that? :) I don't think i want it changed to be honest later Line DDs profit more from not trying to gunboat over 10km.and everything else you engage you should be close to. If you fight russian dds at range you play their game not yours *le shrug*

@rnatI think he refered to himself there mate :) How to play a Battleship... Well generally you should stick close to your cruisers and support them so you enable them to support the small ships A bit agression is good, Pick a cap and make it your own and once crushed the enemy resistance there follow up with your Cruisers and Destroyers to press the advantage. Sometimes the odds are against you and you will die on that same cap (hill) thats fine to. make sure to draw the maximum attention so that everyone but you can get out.... Thats generally spoken... Captainskills : General Build for not secondary builds i personally prefer looks like this : You may or may not switch some stuff arround to your preference and or your prercived threats if you face a lot of Carriers maybe a little more AA. Modulewise i would generally use this : Again thats taken from from a T10 Vessel, you may or may not chose to switch the Accuracy Modules and the Propulsion Modules for more Damage Avoidance and the other for Anti Air. That is just general. Nationspecific: US BBs General Profile: Due to beeing mostely the Standardclass BBs till T7 very slow steady evolution from T7 onwards to 406mm Guns with Good penetration Values for their Armor Piercing... The AA on American BBs is usual fairly decent due to them fighting in the Pacific Theatre. Lessons to take away T4-T7 learn Armor Angling and Positioning, they do not forgive Mistakes there as they are slow and flat broadsides take huge Damage. Noteworthy : Americans get access to a special Artillery Plotting room that improves there Dispersion. I would recommend using that. Engagement Profile : Midrange 12-15KM They come with good concealment , hard hitting Guns and you can dictate the Engagement most of the time from T8 onward. In the Low Tiers you should be on the same distance and decide what side you on the map you engage. Their bad speed is a limiting factor untill T7. Japanese BBs General Profile They are an accurate Bunch of BB's Speeds are realtively good from T4 onwards there are no real slowpoke Dreadnoughts in the Line. Fuso is the exception in that. Guns are generally good, as with the Americans you go over 400mm Caliber from T7 onwards. Their Armorshemes are very diffrent from ship to ship so you can not generally say play them like that or this. Examples T4 5 and 6 have good ranges for their tier but just because some of them can fire out to 21km does not mean you should BE at that distance. Kongo is a Fast Battleship that works very well in hit and run and Fusos Midrange Game combined with her Gunbarrel count makes her very Dangerous in 12-15km but you will hit less and less further out. Nagato is good in Midrange 2 with relative precise guns that hit hard. Amagi due to her Armorsheme even can rush enemys. Izumo is something else entirely as she is more trimmed to nose in tank and absorb damage due to lack of Superstructure and massively upped armor. Yamato is the jewel because of her might guns and accuracy. Noteworthy : Quiet accurate guns, none of them is really viable for secondary builds they live and die on their gun performance. Engagement Profile just as with americans they work well in midrange but can extend out becuase their guns are more accurate so 13-16km is a good profile. Low tiers a little closer. Thier AA is nothing to write home about untill you go into the upper tiers. Decide where to engage and dictate the terms of the engagment by using their speed to disengage or engage... German BBs General Profile German BBs are not very accurate gunwise. Also they sport smaller Calibers Historically... Their upside is a very strong secondary battery. So low tiers will show you how frustrating it can be to miss this diva like Armor Piercing Ammunition that thends to work best on flat surfaces. but also will show you albeit slowly how good secondary batteries work. Bayern gets ridicilously glorious 38CM Guns that are fun on T6 but get less funny on T8... since till T7 they are old Dreadnoughts they are fairly slow but sport a decent armor scheme... T7 onwards breeds the real brawlers only annoyance in the Line beeing Friedrich as most people struggle to get him to work the Kurfurst is an enormous Ship that is fairly good armored But the dispersion is their achilles heel. Notworthy : Turtleback Armor prevents citadels on shortrange engagement unless you turn violently note penetrations are still possible and hurt just as hard... Engagement Profile. Be midrange 9-13 KM so you can maybe get your secondaries in the game... They come with hydro so pushes on the DD flanks are a possiblity but not guarnteed to work. Remember you back up your team going in playing the punching bag if no one joins no point in getting beaten to death.. You tank but you have to be alive to do so. You should look at the captain to improve your secondaries performance maybe give up concealment for manual secondaries High alert and expert marksman can go for Advanced firetraining and of course change the modules to secondary relevant modules as well as switching out and propulsion mod for damage control mod 2. French Baguettes Battleships General Profile: French Battleships are just as their Birthnation interessting and Individual... Never has a Statement be truer than that. They tend to have a lot of Guns... Turenne and Bretangne as Dreadnoughts are rather slow and their guns are .... Lets forget them MOVING on to T6 Normandie... The Luxusliner of Doom, she is fast for her tier 4x3 Guns are a real menace , her speed allows her to move quick over the map AA and Armor are nothing to write home about. T7 Lyon 4x4 Guns in BB Size are moderate Speed and a decend AA make her a real threat... Great if the guns worth , great facepalm potential if they don't work Noteworthy: French BBs are quick and a speed boost at the Higher Tiers are their Gimmick. Guns have a good penetration when they hit they hit hard. This line is for advanced players as they tend to frustrate untill they pay off. Engagement Profile: French.... Litterally, they have a hard time make their mind up.... Turrene and Bretange are difficult at range so close in and fight.... Normandie excels at 15km and lower same as Lyon... If their AP fails and you see the enemy just has estingushied a fire HE is an Option because you have so many guns Richileu is diffrent because she works best if you look for a good spot to engage and give it up if you get overwhelmed with. Alsace has been a real beast for charging down the enemy and then use your secondary battery, play her on midrange 15km. Crownjewel is the Requblique as she comes with a 20second reload an hard hitting guns that have the best AP penetration profile up to 17km. Their Armor is weak especially on T10 so if you go close even cruiser can punish your broadsides hard... Royal Navy General Profile: British Ships are a bit of a mixed bag, they sport a very strong HE (EXCEPTION ARE THE 38cm Guns, shooting AP is better with this guns cause the firechance is mediocre) and from T9 onwards they get a real good heal and good concealment for good meassure. So basicly the whole line plays like Load HE shoot enemy profit , try not to show broadside.... Noteworthy: They now got citadels installed so please don't broadside all the time... The heals need to be timed right sometimes you can heal up to 2 Fires in order to max out the effect of the heal, because it will take longer to come back than on other ships Engagement Profile Mid to Longrange 12-17 km since we do not rely on Armorpiercing ammunition we shoot HE from any angle at any range on targets of oppurtunity... Quiet the boring playstyle sadly. Exceptions are the Queen and the Monarch with them we can sneak up a bit and hammer the AP hard into the enemy. Soviet Battleships General Profile Well Comrade as you can see on paper there is massive armor and big guns... so it is only logical that you can tank with the front and have lower range on guns also our Railguns improve the closer you get... Noteworthy: Russian BBs have great Armor hard hitting guns with fast projectiles. The Armor used to be sup quality so mother russia put more on it. Sadly that makes them very strong in the game. They have a special repair party that comes back faster but has a limited use profile and runs out then. Special Dispersion the closer you get the better it gets Engagement Profile: Keep it inside 14km , fast Rotating turrets mean you can react fast to stuff, of course russian rail guns hit hard on range as well cause they can. Never show your side unless you absolutely have to. Kremlin is just a monster, hard to kill from the front but the side is very vunarable... Feuer macht leider am meisten sinn, Feuer ist ein DoT somit kannst du diesen kontrollieren, flooding wurde schon angepasst ist nicht emhr so gefährlich wie es mal war Feuer war noch nie übermäßig gefährlich wenn man Positionierung beachtet die Reperaturparty richtig einsetzt und auch einfach mal zu geht. Sollte Frust weil unter Dauerfeuer entstehen ist das Schiff entweder zu weit auf der Flanke allein draußen oder zu schlecht Positioniert um das gefecht zu unterbrechen. Die meisten wirklich hochfrequenz Feuerspucker haben eine schnelle Kadenz aber geringe Reichweite. Gibt genug optionen Feuer und HE Spam zu kontern zumal es alles Light Damage ist die man wieder Reparieren kann. -

Das Konzept ist als Semi Armor Piercing schon da, der witz hier dran wäre das noch weniger Penetriert werden würde und somit Battleships leider völlig grundlos einen Buff bekommen. -
While viable on the Alsace later i don't see them viable at the Cardinal.... She just has not enough of them ahead to justify putting points into that. Also Republique suffers from speccing into Secondary Skills she suffers very hard while getting in range to make the fireworks work.

I clearly states just as it does in the Detailed Calculation that it is seperately though trough the same formula calculates XP (ship) and XP (Captain) So no that modifier does not apply. If you do not belive me play a game with a Camo and look it up afterward it does show ALL applied modifiers in the screen at the end. Please refrain calling from calling people uneducated, thats just not nice. -

You have a misconception there. Commander XP gets calculated from BASE XP .... that XP bonus is for SHIP XP and has no bearing on your Commander XP
