How often do I have to tell you this: any normal gaming company: wants to retain and grow its playerbase so they spend money cause they enjoy a game: wg's vodka fueled approach: lets put profit before everything, we'd rather have a big turnover and lure in new players that dont know what they're getting into and spend money rather than nourishing our existing playerbase to spend more. there was a poll here a while ago and best I can tell A LOT of ppl around here stopped spending a lot time ago(that includes me) due to WGs "questionable(thats putting it mildly)" decisions. Why do you think CVs are idiot-proof with their minute long DCP, no detonations and s*it like FDRs nigh invincible planes ? so new players that know f*ck all about the mechanics can at least perform average in them. And designing them that way makes them overperform in skilled hands. That goes for a lot of other ships as well. WG designs things with the potato in mind not with skilled players. And the reason is simply what I stated initially, they have high turnover so they need to keep the fresh potatoes happy so they spend before they run away again. Imo the player base is severely diminished at this point, at least the skilled ones anyway. You have the hardcore crowd with 20k games that just cant give up on it and you have the fresh potatoes, there isnt a lot left in between. I keep running into the same people over and over again in recent months, something thats never happened before.

A .. satisfactory result only 2 times spotted in 18 against my will. once petro radar and then when closing in on the FDR. FDR didnt have much luck with his planes even tough they have ridiculous health. dude was flying around within my aa-range for the full duration of def-aa and still had planes left afterwards... -

was within 12km of a DM yesterday, he was flat broadside, perfect aim, dispersion made all 12 of the first salvo miss, thanks rng 2nd salvo(all the while he spams HE) 6 ricochets, 2 overpens the RNG is just utter BS at times -

They are annoying af. generally sitting at max range and nigh impossible to hit if the driver even remotely knows what hes doing. Hindenburg imo is the Thunderer of cruisers encouraging passive, campy gameplay that contributes nothing to the actual outcome. the really sad part is that hindenburg used to be multitool that could do "everything" in an okayish sort of way but with the commander rework they just turned it into yet another HE spammer. but apparently thats what WG wants, simple gameplay so they can attract new customers(not even gonna use the word players here) that bring in more $$$ -

Actually, saw a video the other day on youtube that showed some pretty sophisticated AA that was mounted on US WW2 CVs or BBs, cant remember for sure. Had a very basic targeting computer, power traverse etc. etc. and late war did have radar rangefinding for the AA. -

depends, DM radar is a pain because of the long duration but the soviet one is kinda neglectable, especially with the dispersion commander skill -

no offense mate but looking at your numbers you are just the average BB damage farmer that sits at the C Line for 15min and snipes while actually contributing very little to the outcome of the game as illustarted by the fact you dont get why islands are neccesary and you underperforming in everything that isnt just a point and shoot boat. maybe ask yourself why you, overall, get killed more often than you get a kill. -

show us that again with a semi competent player controlling the planes that doesnt drop from an angle or from broadside but head on. or with a slow and less maneuverable ship like a GK or Yamato. -

I was in Wooster, and there was this, pretty good(63%) dude in a DM. He tried to Island Camp but thanks to woosters shell arc that didnt quite work out for him. Whenever he attempted DD spotted him and in came the rain of fire. Didnt kill him cause he ran away but did 40k damage to the dude in total. Ended the game with 115k, couple defenses and on top of my team but we lost, could be worse. I come back to port and, naturally, "You were reported" x2, it was either him or his division buddy in a Yamato that I did substantial damage to, I knew that. But, luckily there is personal messages to erase all doubt. Now, just to make this clear, I didnt say anything at all in chat, its disabled. I literally did nothing but play my ship and deprived him of his camping spot and easy DD kills cause I was backing our DD up. His team won and he got 3 kills. The whole Idea of the reporting system in its current form is absurd and only serves the purpose to provide a Vent for salty bois that cant cope with the fact that sometimes they get outplayed.- 42 replies

How f*cking lazy can you be ? I'm not even gonna point out the absurdity of putting a skill that requires you to be undetected on a f*cking BB commander First WG screws up with Deadeye then they replace it with something utterly useless. I'd like to say I'm surprised but I really am not. but hey, at least you did have the decency to not charge use for a respec so in the end I guess we should be thankful -

the marceau is a one trick pony, gets outspotted by everything, cant really contest until mid game because of crap concealment and no smoke. it has def-aa but against T10 its just pitiful. you can hunt DDs in it and farm BBs late game, big whoop
