AP shooting DD...is here something i am missing ?
bloodynicknames replied to Beastofwar's topic in General Discussion
thats like saying you found the nicest piece of s*it in a big pile of s*it -
I couldnt care less about the auction for credits, thats really just a virtual resource sink. got goddamn, if I understand this correctly WG made AT LEAST 30000€ from that commander and AT LEAST 10000€ from a [edited]flag. let that sink in, the effort for them to make these 2 "item" comes down to, well, lets be generous, 1 working day for each. Even by european standards(which im certain WGs pay isnt up to) this comes down to about 100€ each. And what really blows my mind is that there are actually suckers around that pay this kind of money. guess that explains why we have ppl with 10k games that still dont understand the basic mechanics.

So, did WG pull another sleazy trick and increase Detonation frequency ? ?

how else are they gonna make you spend coal and dubloons if not by forcing you into the armory -

why do you think I started this topic ? I dont even know how to respond to that ... -
I'd prefer rockets over the perma spotting if I'm honest.

another example of broken carriers
bloodynicknames replied to BoxOfAngryBees's topic in General Discussion
Ranked ? that awesome gamemode that on average pitches you against 45% Teams since anyone halfway decent doesnt bother anymore because its a major chore ? That ranked ? and i've said it before and i'll say it again, hidden stats = your argument is invalid. I play Halland a lot lately as a pure torp boat and devstrikes do happen but rarely. in 99% of cases its some potato BB that just keeps going in straight lines or an unsuspecting smoke camper. btw, with Halland even if you hit ALL of its torps from a single volley it's not enough to sink a T10 CV, fun and balanced, innit -

Balancing and Compensation ..... broken Mechanics or ignored ones
bloodynicknames replied to Zoltank's topic in General Discussion
it doesnt matter, i average 60k in the Halland, which is way above average. I usually end up with about 100k+ spotting, a couple of caps, lots of planes shot down and yet the game still rewards the C line damage farmers way better. the entire scoring system is retarded, it punishes playing for the team(spotting, capping) and rewards selfish damage farming.- 32 replies

Småland, what are you thinking WG?
bloodynicknames replied to Lemasive's topic in General Discussion
dont argue with him, in his book nothing is OP and if you perceive it in such a way you just need to "git gud". The Smaland is utterly broken vs. any other DD save the Daring maybe. -
Doesnt even need a work, a symbol is enough $ WG knows fully well that they lost their core playerbase as a paying audience. And so, thats why they need to expand, draw in more potatoes that are willing to part with their cash in exchange for flags and shiny camos. Just to put it into perspective, for the price of a single perma-camo for a T10 ship you can currently get Metro Exodus Gold Edition on steam, how's that for value. And this is reflected in their ship designs, most prominently of course the FDR and Thunderer. Both are extremely potato friendly in a way that they dont punish bad plays. Thunderer, we all know the drill. Sit at 20km(or 18 more recently maybe), spam HE and see big numbers roll in. Sure, it does very little to actually contribute anything but WG couldnt care less about the outcome as long as the potato gets some satisfaction. FDR is the same(CVs since rework in general are). The high plane health allows complete s*it plays with very little reprecussions. The way its torp bombers work as well, mass rather than class. Just throw a lot of everything at the red ship, something will surely stick. And thats why we perceive these ships as OP, because they were never designed with what a skilled player can do with them in mind. The Yoshino is an older example of this(god how I hate Yoshino players), it allows for utterly passive and low risk gameplay while still being able to farm damage. There are 2 ways to make money from F2P(which, as a concept, I loathe but with ship-combat the selection is rather limited). 1) Create an appealing experience, grow a core playerbase that you nourish and expand upon that all the wile making off of them cause they actually enjoy the game and maybe even have some influence in the direction its headed 2) Dont give a crap about the experience and just rely on high turnover. Player retention is secondary here, lure in as many people as possible and push them to the "endgame" as fast as you can so you can milk whatever there is to milk before they move on With WoWs i think in the past year the cracks really start to show. It's all just patchwork and blatant cashgrabs(hello commander rework) with as little effort as possible is necessary to cash in. Subs(should they really be added) are another fine example of this. Best I can tell the existing playerbase isnt really in favor to put it mildly. Does WG care ? No. Why ? Because they can lure in new players with this, "Look, you have big ships that go boom, you can fly planes and you play submarines, now hand over your money". It's funny in a certain way, no matter how botched a game was, I never felt any animosity toward a games developers because generally speaking bugs are bugs and sutff breaks. With WG is different, I truly loathe them at this point for what they've turned this game into. Aight, /endrant, i'm gonna go play DCS now

Ranked battles, “the competitive game mode”

welcome to World of Cashgrab You need to understand this: The core community is flipping WG the bird money wise so they need to draw in gullible morons to the keep the sweet sweet $$$ flowing. -
Why this game will never change
bloodynicknames replied to bloodynicknames's topic in General Discussion
so....anything useful to add or you just want to make this personal ? Cause since I cant look at your stats i'm just gonna assume you only drive around in T5 boats and thus everything you say is invalid. any better ? -

bloodynicknames replied to bloodynicknames's topic in General Discussion
I only have A10 and Black Shark from waaaaaaaaaaay back. But OK, lets go there. The F16C for DCS costs 55€ currently on steam, that is a unique model with detailed physics and the cockpit and exterior modeled down to the last knob. and for comparison The Amagi Kong Bundle, which is a reskin of an existing Tech Tree ship with 10 pt commander is 65€. Thats basically 65€ for a Reskin. You wanted to add anything else ? -
who cares. I'm sick and tired of having to put up with potato teams that throw matches with their sheer inability to understand even the most basic concepts. just on [edited]tears of the desert epicenter, me in halland. cap all 3 circles at start, blow up one of their 2 DDs, push back red BBs pushing on left flank. what does my team do ? suddenly decides to win harder, the [edited]CV drives into the center cap and everyone suddenly starts pushing into the big red blob that ofc focuses everyone down. then whats left of the right flank gets dominated by a single DM cause apparently 2 BBs and 2 Cruisers arent enough to get rid of one HE spamming camper. this playerbase is absolute garbage but WG will never address that issue cause as long as they can milk them for cash the vodkaheads dont care.

Sorry but it is totally wrong by the moderators
bloodynicknames replied to Hundigo's topic in General Discussion
you're exactly right, I did not read them cause I dont care the slightest bit a) what the people on this forum think about the plague and 2) what some random dude on youtube says. I entered that topic, browsed a few posts and left. which leaves us to this whine thread(which will get closed) just like the other one. suck it up or move to reddit. -

feck off, I saw that thread. this is a forum about a game, you wanna have your braindead discussions about the plague go do it somewhere else and not here and then [edited] when you get reprimanded for it -
oh yeah, separate "league" for everyone with <51% WR.

in theory, maybe, in practice, nowhere even close.

i dont even know where to begin with this pile of trash -
oh please, thats not even scratching the surface. theres so much [edited] here I wouldnt know where to begin. SAP being able to take 2/3 of a DDs health in a single volley maybe ? Ships that actively encourage passive gameplay and camping like the vermont RNG just [edited]you in the [edited]cause we cant really have skill based aiming the complete clusterfuck that are german BBs matchmaking that really is non-competitive and just creates teams where its better to quit straight away instead of wasting 10min of your time(cause those games never last 20) the blatant cashgrabs such as the commander rework having to pay real money to dismount modules(and dont get me [edited]started on its just dubloons). Dubloons are only there to hide the fact youre spending real cash on these i could go on but whats the point, the vodkaheads dont listen anyway so lets just burn it to the ground.
-
theres nothing to repair here, WG knows that, we know it. the smart ones among us are just along for the ride and dont spend anymore. problem is the suckers are still filling WGs coffers so they keep it going. You need to design the game new from the ground up to create a balanced experience. WG would need to toss their "[edited]their players, if the veterans dont pay we'll just prey on the new ones" attitude out the window to begin with but that will never happen cause they're greedy af.

So I have a recurring issue that keeps happening, I dunno, every 2 weeks or so. I load into a match and the UI is all screwed up. Minimap not showing last known positions, icons missing, etc etc, then, after about a minute, the game completely freezes up. Now, this has NOTHING to do with the installation but is limited to that one single match where this "glitch" appears. I can restart the game, load in, icons will be missing again and then after a minute it will crash again. However if I just Exit to Port, pick another ship and join a match everything will be fine again. What annoys the hell out of me is that due to these crashes I've had a couple of AFK penalties and was relegated to coop which is annoying as hell. Restarting PC, etc. etc. nothing works in this scenario, that match is just "unsalvagable".

Game spazzing out every now and then
bloodynicknames replied to bloodynicknames's question in Tech Corner
i did this now and that worked: when it crashes, launch again in safe mode...works normal, then kill the process and launch again in normal, back in the same match and it no longer crashes. think it might be the shipbars, never had this when only running concealment timer
