Has the Hindenburg become the most annoying HE spammer now ?
bloodynicknames replied to bloodynicknames's topic in General Discussion
indulge me, what would the purpose be of that ? I'm seriously curious ? Its not like I'm describing some super rare situation that occurs once in a blue moon but a HE spamming Hindenburg, something every other game has in it. but ofc its a convenient argument "post a replay or the hindenburg isnt an annoying HE spammer". and I'll be damned if I get into an argument with a subpar potato(this is isnt adressed to you) that thinks hes an expert on everything and yet underperforms in all those things he thinks to know so much about. -

fella, you talk the talk but looking at your numbers you dont really walk the walk as the saying goes. you do below average damage in the hindenburg so dont try and tell me what it can and cant do. You always ask for replays, I'll do you one better, take out your Conqueror or Thunderer(no surprise there...) and face me in my Hindenburg, promise you you'll be dead before i'm even at 50% health. that being said, back to the matter at hand. I didnt say influential, I do agree that its not influential, when I wanna do that i'm not taking the Hindenburg but a wooster or radar mino(if were sticking with cruisers). Well, from playing a lot of HE spammy cruisers I can tell you what happens to players that ignore me, they die. As I said above, not gonna argue influence on a battle. -

well, i should've added "Most annoying cruiser". yes, kleber is annoying af. thunderer, not so much thanks to the usual driver being a potato that thinks hes untouchable when showing flat broadside to your montana at 20km. -
ranked = too much frustration, please help
bloodynicknames replied to Senaika's topic in General Discussion
that only works if you dont play Harugumo and Wooster on a regular basis, every 50 hits of HE = - 1 Karma on a more serious note, I wouldnt put it beyond WG to implement something like that, they like a suckup -
i'd say "you must be new here" but you already stated that :D my advice to anyone, dont spend money on this. play it for free, this game in its current state isnt worth money.

my most recent ranked game, only a minor difference in individual ship winrates of around 20% Pay2Rico sails in front of Venezia, Montana and Azuma within the first 2min and gets blown up immediately while the rest take up camping positions at H line. only thunderer is a bit insecure so he hides behind the island at J line just in case somebody might shoot at him from 25km such fun, and those awesome rewards...why the f*ck do I even bother. I torped montana on the left in Mino, got him down to 4k HP ... these stupid f*cks didnt manage to finish him off before everyone got killed. this is silver btw -

the "ranked" title alone is a joke for something that just tosses 14 random people together with no fixed class setups. Had a couple games with 2 BBs, 1 Cruiser and 4 DDs...its just a clownshow at that point. they should do it like this: 2 BBs 2 Cruisers 2 DDs 1 random of all 4 ship classes and fer christs sake make progression based on individual effort, best 6 players of the match get a star(WITHOUT modifiers applied), bottom 4 loose a star, 4 get to keep their star. that would make a lot more sense than the current clusterf*ck. After having 45%(no joke) teams for consecutive times at some point I just gave up. It doesnt matter if you play well or just yolo to the furthest cap from the start cause ranked is decided by who has the worst potatoes -

sad but true -
Defeat, scored 20 points less than the top guy on the winning team ... lost due to a bot ibuki that was just driving around in circles, fella had lost 0 health at the end of the game

i guess you didnt read the part where I said I had chat DISABLED
-
chatbans are a joke. I got chatbanned for 2 weeks, subsequently turned off chat(better for my nerves). chatban expired(now mind you, i have chat DISABLED at this point), 3 days later I get another chatban. Really it's just the fucked up reporting mechanics, enough "misbehaviour in chat" reports will lead to a ban and we all know that feature is getting abused to no end. just had 220k damage, 2 caps, countless defenses and 100k spotting game in a harugumo, got 5 reported 5 times for that one. Now I know these dont neccesarily have to be chat reports but chat reports are the only ones that actually have an effect, nobody gives a rats [edited]about karma anyway thanks to how easily the system can be abused.

With sub-50% players flooding ranked, the game mode is officially dead.

I raise you a fletcher with 8879 games and, 45% WR overall, 30% WR in fletcher(after 120 games) with a whooping 15k average damage in it. I dont even know how that would work, like how can you spend 8800 games and suck so much. you'd have to learn SOMETHING at least. I ended up actually "playing" in ranked, i accelerate full speed, move towards nearest reds and just keep shooting until I die. It really doesnt make any difference what you do when you know the remaining muppets will do a toss up anyway. fun fact, even with that "tactic" I usually end up saving a star when loosing...go figure -
Brutal Cost of Commander Retraining
bloodynicknames replied to Ocsimano18's topic in General Discussion
well, feel free to point out where I told somebody what to do with their cash. I merely started that if you do spend money on this your part of the problem and actively encourage WGs shitty design choices. then again, considering how many premiums you own i'm not surprised you take issue with this statement so in my book, as long as you dont "vote with your wallet" as the saying goes you really are in no place to complain. -
Italian Cruisers, nothing more than boring damage farmers ?
bloodynicknames posted a topic in General Discussion
OK OK, first of all, I get it, camping and just farming damage is the way WG wants this game to go, because, you know, it's potato friendly. But still, I recently started grinding the Italian Cruiser Line and so far, while they do perform well in killing stuff they just feel utterly bland and I never had the feeling the ship(i'm up to T8 now) has the capability to actually make an impact. I cant really hunt DDs due to lack of Hydro(or radar for that matter) and the somewhat horrible concealment. Sure, if a DD is spotted within range he takes massive damage thanks to SAP but at the end of the day you have to rely on someone on your team to do the spotting for you(relying on your team, good one, right?) Unlike lets say the US or Soviet Cruiser you cannot just "deny" caps by your sheer presence. Going toe to toe with a BB ? At least at T8 that isnt much of an option, SAP is too situational I feel and the AP isnt that strong(yet?). Sure if you get close the AP hurts but with a concealment north of 11km good luck doing that. You can rush thanks to good armor scheme on the bow on the Amalfi for example and you'll get away with it due to speed and manueverability but i'd rather not rely on yoloing stuff. Those are just a couple examples. but what bugs me most about them is how incredibly BORING they are to play. I play cruisers, a lot. My favorite are the lighter ones, Wooster, Mino and I do enjoy the DM at times. Hindenburg thanks to Captain Skill rework is nothing more than an annoying fire spammer so I stay away from her. Zao is OK but in this meta I dont really like her. That being said, all of those have unique characteristics that actually make them fun to play. Zao has some Ambush potential, Hindenburg used to be the swiss army knife of Cruisers, Mino with radar is a DDs nightmare, etc. etc. All these other boats I felt gave you options whereas with the Italian ones it always comes down driving around medium distance spamming SAP and occcasionaly switching to HE, thats it. So enlighten me, does it get better ? Am I missing something ? Cause if the Venezia is gonna be the same with more barrels I'd rather save myself the Headache of the Grind. -
Brutal Cost of Commander Retraining
bloodynicknames replied to Ocsimano18's topic in General Discussion
well, we all know that the changes in retraining cost is just WG trying to force you to spend dubloons. you pay real money for this you're part of the problem. -
you spend money on this game you're part of the problem and should be chastised accordingly. potatoes spending on this is what keeps WG going in their greedy ways.

bloodynicknames replied to Cippalippus's topic in General Discussion
true that. Just played a couple rounds, average WR on 5 consecutive teams in the 45% range, worst one was 42%. Never should've moved out of bronze. Literally work my [edited]off, play 100k+ games each time and these muppets just throw away the victory. my last game, Hindenburg, Shikishima and Thunder all went to B line from the start and camped there. Why WG in their infinite wisdon still doesnt take WR into account in such a limited setting is beyond. Oh, right, I forgot, it doesnt make them any money to have happy players. Greedy bastards. -
Italian Cruisers, nothing more than boring damage farmers ?
bloodynicknames replied to bloodynicknames's topic in General Discussion
"There was a time before radar and cruisers managed to sink DD back then but the meta was entirely different from today" is how that sentence should go. The thing is, back then you would just rush the smoke with hydro and hope for the best. And thanks to the absence of the likes of petro and deadeye that worked. But, as much as I hate to say it, they put radar in for a reason as that went hand in hand with the changes to the meta. Shima was dominant back then for a good reason(and I played her a fair bit during that time). These days things are different. And I've yet to see a Venezia anywhere near a cap before mid-game as its plain suicidal to go there with its concealment. What I see mostly at T10 is them hogging a flank and getting off one or two salvos before disengaging. but again, this is just from my pov, I think i'll just give 'em up on the Italians, they looked like a nice change of pace but in the end they're a lot worse(in terms of fun) than what I have at the moment. Guess this is where this game is headed ultimately and I cant say I like it. The versatile ships get powercrept and what you end up with is crap that ultimately all plays the same. -

depends I guess. Montana is OK now, i havent tried the other line but from what i've seen so far the "fat" ones just sit there at the back and camp, exactly like WG intended. -

dont get me wrong, I did well in all of them including the Amalfi, i just find them incredibly boring. -

bloodynicknames replied to bloodynicknames's topic in General Discussion
well, the DM at least with its high ROF and radar that's basically just 900m(or was it 600m?) short of its own concealment does work against DDs at least. I tried the french and I dunno, at least in the lower tiers they felt like nothing I could see myself playing so abandoned that. Also, seeing how most Henris play thats not my kind of gameplay. Maybe it just comes down to individual playstyle, I do exceptionally well in the ARP Takao/Atago and every game feels like fun and as if I had a number of possibilites(even with its AP you can do decent damage to broadside BBs) whereas with the Amalfi in comparison every game feels like its the same over and over again. so yeah, I guess in the end Pizza cruisers arent for me. what bothers me most is what they did with the Hindenburg in the commander rework, it really is just an HE spammer now -

how bad is this playerbase ? Look at this situation: initially it was 2v1 3/4 Izumo and 3/4 Slava vs. a SINGLE Vladivostok. The slava sat there like that for literally 3min while Vladi was engaging Izumo shooting salvo after salvo that bounced. what does he do when Izumo gets killed ? Move ? try to improve the angle ? No, he just hits [edited]reverse. And continues to shoot now at the bow of the Vladi doing [edited]all damage. After 4min as the vladi goes for the ram(as you can see from the score at this point, if he just kills him we win, they gave away that victory through sheer stupidity) and he figures, hey, ILL SWITCH TO HE. This, Ladies and Gentleman, is the average WoWs player. They dont understand game mechanics even the slightest bit. if the moved for just a minute when Vladi is fighting Izumo hes on his flat broadside with [edited]soviet BB guns, but no. -
Well, the way they make money is by drawing in gullible fools to spend cash on ships. just look at the recent poll here, 3/4 of those that answered dont spend on the game and the crowd here is typically very different from what you see ingame, just compare the number of battles played. WG is greedy as F*** and milk the playerbase for whatever they can. Ever wondered why you dont get a notification when you run out of camos ? It's so you dont pay attention that your dubloons are slowly ticking away when you just hit "Battle On". And why do you think the default for any resupply that can swap between Dubloons and Credits is Dubloons ? So those that dont pay close attention loose money. This is a dumpsterfire at this point and a mere shadow of what it used to be. A smaller playerbase typically means more dedicated and experienced players, thats what WoWs used to be but when they finally figured out their formula to lure in the potatoes to spend those sweet sweet $$$ it all went to hell. The CV rework is a prime example of this. Before the rework CVs would require skill to perform well whereas now they moved them to a point where even the biggest turd can farm 80k without pulling a sweat. The Thunderer ofc being the prime example of this. Farm big numbers from the back and dont pay any attention to whats going(to an extent this also goes for the new US BB line). the monetization has become increasingly aggressive compared to a few years and the lootboxes should've been a big red warning sign to everyone but these muppets see something shiny and sparkling and open their wallet like a cheap hooker does her legs.
