Fun and engaging game mechanics. All for the sake of realism.

Could you give me any source on the tubes on Kongo, Fuso or Nagato not being submerged?
-
It's definitely possible for the torps to hit the same spot on a DD... http://forum.worldofwarships.com/index.php?/topic/75711-a-funny-and-extreme-example-of-torpedo-damage-on-1-module-gif

For me it's hands down Gneisenau. Fast, almost immune to AP at any half decent angle, lots of AA and torps. The only downside is that your guns aren't really effective at long ranges, but you speed and tankyness can get you close and personal usually.

Since the last patch the repair costs are independent of the damage you take.

So, you know how every skill has two parts in their description? For example: - Demolition expert: First part of the description: Increases the chance of setting an enemy ship on fire Second part of the description: +3% to chance of fire caused by a main caliber bomb or shell - Vigilance: First part of the description: Extends torpedo acquisition range Second part of the description: +25% to acquisition range of torpedoes The game basically teaches you to ignore the first part of the skill descriptions because they dont't hold any information that isn't in the second part of the description as well. But then there's dogfighting expert. First part of the description: Increases the attack power of fighters while in combat against higher-tier aircraft. The greater the difference between tiers, the greater the increase. Second part of the description: +10% to average damage per second of fighters for each tier of difference between them Now I skilled my Saipan with this skill and only noticed that it didn't actually work against lower tier planes after having a discussion about it with a fellow clan member. Being used to only reading the second part of the descriptions because that is where the information is anyway I just assumed it always worked when there is a difference between the tiers of the fighters because it only says that the skill only works when fighting higher tier aircraft in the first part of the description. This is literally the only skill where there is information in the first part of the description that isn't in the second part as well.

Smoke from fires on your ship and torpedo lead indicator.

It's kinda nice to know when ship discounts are gonna be in advance... For example knowing about the current discounts on USN ships would have saved me quite a bit of credits on the Iowa...

Amagi's citadel is underwater and therefore much, much easier to hit from mid to long ranges than close ranges.
-
Which doesn't equally apply to all non-german BBs?
-
Bow on Amagi is actually pretty much just as tanky as any other t8+ BB.
-
Amagi still feels just as weakly armored as ever to me...

Doing well against an AS Bogue isn't easy. At higher tiers playing against fighter loadouts is much easier due to actual reserve planes. Mostly you just gotta hope he's an idiot. But the few things that you can try are: - lure his planes into the AA of one of your ships and engage them there - the stronger the AA of the ships, the better - try to strafe his planes - wait for an opportunity to strike when he's not paying attention. There's also a last option, that being to wait until WG realizes just how bad an idea AS loadouts are, but that's quite unlikely to ever happen because they are actually trying to encourage AS CV gameplay for some reason.
-
You've still done more damage than him in that battle. You're not fighting against an OP ship, you're fighting against the cancer that AS loadouts are at a tier at which reserve planes basically don't exist.

Greetings from the Yamato Museum, Kure. :)

Just to add, other valid forms of writing it would be Kongô(Nihon-Shiki/Kunrei-Shiki), Kongoo (JSL)and Kongoh(passport hepburn). Kongo is not the correct way to romanize it by any standard, but it's still a common way to romanize things. -
Even those ships need 8 seconds to load their first salvo. And Trident is pretty much the only map where this happened to me, not on any of the other ranked maps.
-
Happens rarely in my experience. And please tell me which tier 8 cruiser could shoot at you in the first 6 seconds of the game.

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?

That game was quite terrible. Our team got stomped hard. GJ on killing iEarlGrey tho! -
Just how ridiculous DD's really are, DD's fans i laugh at you

It's an arcade game and you can be glad about it because otherwise BBs would just be the bitches of CVs. -
Went into cap, brawled&killed Hatsuharu, then König, then a Scharnhorst and then reduced another Scharnhorst to 3k HP. What do I see when I'm finally dead? No one has capped the point I've secured yet and two Königs are just sitting behind it without having lost a single HP at that point...

I'd actually say that skill's description is not misleading, but the description of DE is. It is the ONLY skill where a percentage value given is additive, not multiplicative. For ALL other skills percentage values given are multiplicative.

If we see RN CLs in October, it's gonna be on the 20th because that's the only day a patch will be released in October(updates are brought on Thursdays on a 3-week schedule).

They didn't combine the decapping plate and main belt for Iowa, which also makes it a weakness for her because the decapping plate can very easily be penned by small caliber AP. The main belt on it will protect against citadels, but not regular pens.
-
From looking at ships where there are definitely further inner angled plates, like german BBs, it seems that the armor viewer always calls those "deck" and not "armor belt". Note that the Amagi does have an angled inner plate at exactly the location where an inner plate would be found though, it's just part of the citadel armor.

DirectX 11 or even 12 support for this game in the (near) future?
Ictogan replied to FrankMVenlo's topic in General Discussion
Because you have to rewrite the entire graphics code? That's a lot of work and work costs money.
