Tier 8 is the sweet spot for IJN DDs right now imo... And the Fubuki has the best guns for it's tier amongst the IJN DD line. Kagero's guns are a direct downgrade in terms of range and traverse speed, whereas Shimakaze guns are pretty good again, but worse for its tier compared to the Fubuki imo.

Not denying that CV balance is fucked up, but that's a different issue. US CVs in general need a rework.

Yep, the way the overmatch mechanic works is complete bullsh*t.

This is about GAME BALANCE, not about how good the ships were in reality.

If both use both the torpedo reload module&captain skill, the torpedo reload time on the Kagero is superior to the Fletcher by an amazing 1.5 seconds.

Fubuki doesn't have Shim torps. And Fubuki was buffed with this patch, not nerfed like Kag and Shim. Which makes the Kag basically a sidegrade to the Fubuki instead of an upgrade.

Fletcher now is similarily good as a torpedo boat as the Kagero while being a far superior as a gunboat.

Don't buy the Kagero. It's got worse guns than the Fubuki at a higher tier, AA isn't even enough to shoot down spotter planes even with lots of time, has to get within 8km of targets to use its torpedoes(20km torps are crapnow) but doesn't have the speed nor the guns to get out of trouble. Stealth may look great, but it doesn't help with radar, planes or other DDs which have only barely higher spotting range but can easily outrun and outgun you.

:/ Currently team battles are a huge sink for signal flags that doesn't give any more reward than random battles except for a bit more fun. At least giving the ability to earn signal flags with achievements there like in random battles would already improve it a lot.

Fubuki makes a great gunboat, Kagero is crapas a gunboat because it has worse guns than Fubuki while being a tier higher, Shima is a decent gunboat but can't invisifire without AFT.

It's not about someone shooting me, it's about him blowing me up without any real skill involved. For me at least, can't speak for OP.

I agree, although division with different tiers aren't necessarily fail divisions, like a t3 CL/DD divisioning up with a t4 BB. Both can get into t5 battles maximum, so it's not really a fail division. Same goes for any division with tier eights in divisions with tier nines or tens or tier nines in division with tier tens.

Fubuki got a direct buff, at least for people like me who were using the 10km torps anyway because they're faster. Using it as a hybrid gun boat/torpedo boat. Shimakaze is pretty good with the 8km torps, haven't even bothered to try playing her with anything else. Good guns enable it to duel any lower tier DD except for the Fletcher, good speed enables it to get where it wants to and away from enemies. Kagero is the one which got fucked over. It has worse guns than the Fubuki so it can't risk getting into encounters with otter DDs, it doesn't have the speed to get away from threats and the AA will take literally minutes to shoot down even a single spotter plane. Talk about great stealth on the Kagero all you want, it's not helping it that much.

Just FYI, all the security stuff you turn off is still active - the switches don't do anything. Which is also one of the reasons why I won't upgrade to it. And loading times are just due to 0.5.5 - since then I have gotten loading times of often less than 10 seconds.

They are in general avoiding to change stats of premiums, not just USSR ones.

I got this little beauty now. Even though rather weak, it's definitely a fun ship to play.

Never played NC, but Tirpitz has pretty shitty penetration, at least compared to Amagi. The RoF simply makes up for the lower alpha on it. And the insane armor on it can also be a disadvantage because it rarely gets overpenned.

Just met ilhilh in his Saipan while I was in my Shokaku. With the exception of giving me a few easy strafing opportunities he played pretty well and ended up on top of his team, but his team played pretty badly and my team won.

IIRC they are not AA guns, but guns for training the gun crews without wasting main caliber ammunition.
