    On a DD captains BoS is useless and on quite a few other ships it isn't the best skill to pick, thus it would be often be impossible to make an ideal build with a captain that is forced into BoS without getting a skill reset.

    At the very least, give DDs BFT instead of BOS. BOS is utterly useless on DDs and will just be a wasted skill point. A full captain reset would be much preferable though. Or just implement a new system that allows people to pick their new skills on a row if only that row is changed, which would also cover future such situations and could also be used for things like making the TA skill useless on t9&10 IJN DDs.

    If you go afk in matches you feel are unbalanced, of course you are gonna be likely to lose those battles. MM is rather fair nowadays so I don't see a problem with it.
  8. I've had a discussion with Sake78 in the recent thread about AA where he said that CVs should be put in the regular meta instead of having their own place outside of it. After grinding strike Bogue for a bit I came to a realization: what really seperates CVs from other classes more than anything else is not AA or being able to attack a ship regardless of the distance to it. It's fighters. Fighters seperate CVs from other ships simply by being an ability that only ONE ship in a team has and that is only meant to counter ONE ship in the enemy team. And the main problem lies in fighter loadouts. They reduce the damage output of both the people who play them(because they barely have any planes to do damage with) and the people who play against them(due to getting planes shot down), causing overall CV average damage to go down. This creates a meta where especially at mid-tiers CVs are quite UP when one of the teams has an AS CV and are completely OP when neither team has an AS CV. When I recently played strike Bogue, I noticed that I was often unable to do more than 30k dmg when up against an AS Bogue, but when up against any other t5 CV it was usually a 100k+ dmg game. And here my suggestion comes in: remove ALL fighter decks and balance CVs based on the stats produced after the change. It's most important at tier 5 where CVs don't really have resupplies and AA is extremely weak. Weak AA makes AS Bogue the only thing that can counter other CVs at that tier and low amount of resupplies makes AS Bogue actually somewhat effective at it unlike higher tier fighter decks. But on the other hand, CVs at tier 5 are completely OP if an AS Bogue isn't involved. At higher tiers however I don't really care whether I'm up against a fighter deck because I know I will still be able to do tons of damage. CVs will never have a "normal" place in the meta as long as fighter decks exist. Of course there are many other problems with CVs such as the current AA system which should imo be completely reworked as well as US CVs really needing to be fixed, but I would consider this to be even more important than those points because right now CVs need to be balanced in a way that they can still do some damage when facing an AS CV which makes them somewhat OP when not facing one(again, more at mid tiers than at high tiers, but the problem still exists in this way at high tiers).
  9. Which is rather ridiculous. I like the free stuff, but just the Krasny Krym would be worth more to me than all the stuff I got in GNB. Tier 2 and 3 ships just sit in my port all day long because those tiers are [edited]boring.

  12. It wasn't a battlecruiser, it was a battleship. Yes, it had some similarities to battlecruisers, but it was nevertheless designated as a battleship.

  14. They would still be able to sell it, but not as well. And that is the entire [edited]reason that they're doing this, not that BS caliber progression excuse. And if you really think that there shouldn't be any such changes in armament in a line, look at Kirov, Bogatyr or Mogami.

  16. Mostly at close range(less than 7km) but I once managed to get 2 citadels on a Tirpitz with my Roon using plunging fire. But 283mm guns do have(or at least should have) significantly better penetration than 203mm guns, so they will be able to get citadels on BBs from further away than that.
  17. I've citadelled Nagato, Colorado, Amagi, Tirpitz and Izumo with my 203mm CA guns so far. If 203mm guns can do it then 283cm guns won't have any problem doing so as well.

    It's just a combination of two mechanics that have been in the game for a while: - pink players get all the damage they do to team members mirrored on their own ship - torpedoes only do 50% damage to team members

    Using the torpedo reload booster can really [edited]you over in situations when you need smoke. Also no firing from smoke. Wrong. Gearing torps have 1.4km detection, Shima/Kag 8km do have 1.9km which is the same as Shima 12km torps.
  21. Quite frankly I don't believe that this was conceived in 1912. In fact I even doubt that something like this was EVER conceived by anyone working at a navy. Even if someone was mad enough to conceive a ship that large, no way in hell would anyone estimate that they could build a ship like that capable of reaching 42 knots.
  22. That looks just plain stupid. Build 8 Nagatos and a Kitakami and you'll have a bit more broadside firepower as this thing at half the (probably very optimistic) estimated displacedment of this thing and at a fraction of the cost. Doesn't have quite the same speed, but also doesn't need antimatter reactors for propulsion. Also, has anyone noticed the complete lack of AA on that thing? Would love to attack it a few times with my CVs.

    My guess would be that they will be released soon after 0.5.9 when they will have applied the balancing changes they still want to do before releasing them.

    They are posting here rarely anyway and plenty of people have said both variants. However, I highly doubt that 10 different ribbons are needed.
