    Ever since SA has become standard I don't really have a problem retraining captains in non-premium ships. It's not ideal but still much better than starting a new captain.

    Where did I define stock as not having a maxed out captain? And I'm not saying a ship should only be played with all modules and a good captain but imo ships should be balanced around what people usually play them like, which for tier 10s is having all modules and a decent captain.

    It's 2 million. And really you should be able to grind that in different ships. And you could have trained a captain in a different ship. It's your own choice to play it stock and don't be surprised if it's not great stock because SPOILER ALERT: almost all high tier ships are bad when stock.

    Even without spending doubloons you can buy the concealment module right after you bought the Khaba. And you can still get a 10% range increase from a captain with AFT that is being retrained.

    Well, it's mostly about just getting to the closest range you can get to the enemy while comfortably dodging almost all shells. Also your AP is quite good, so be sure to use that when CAs/BBs show you broadside. Top it New Orleans, bottom is Khaba.

    This thread is about the RU DD nerfs, so both Uda and Kahba. And I'd say with my experience in the Uda and in general in high tier I can decently judge how good/OP the Khaba is.

    I may not have Khabarovsk yet, but I have Uda and my stats in it are damn great. And I'm claiming it's overpowered and just a tiny RoF nerf won't be enough to fix that. So that refutes your whole BS about the only people who want it nerfed not having it out playing poorly in it.

    And did you ever post evidence as to why they should not be nerfed? And I don't think I have never called for a nerf if these ships, much less whined for it. I'm just saying that these nerfs are definitely justified and probably too little for Udaloi.

    The turret setup is pretty much the only weak point the Roon has. In any other aspect it's very strong.

    And they are performing far better than any of the other t9&10 DDs. Yes, their role is closer to cruisers than other DDs, but they're still not cruisers and shouldn't perform like ones.

    How about 64 battles that I have played in Udaloi? Do those look like it might be OP or is it again an insufficient sample size?

    I don't care that it's a [edited]low chance. It's a mechanic that can make a single HE shell that doesn't even hit you take away your entire HP. The chance could be one in a googol and it would still be too much for me. A mechanic that punishes players for doing nothing whatsoever wrong is just stupid. Now you could argue that dispersion RNG can also nuke you, but that still cares whether the bloody shell even hit and penetrated your ship. But mostly, it's needed for balance unlike detonations. I'm pretty sure I read basically the opposite - that the Juliet Whiskey flag gives you a 0% chance of detonation even if you have the flags that increase your detonation chance equipped.

    If you fire at it with BB guns, use AP. If you fire at it with DD/CA guns and it's broadside, use AP. If you fire at it with DD/CA guns and it's angled, use HE.

    So real man want to have duels lasting several hours where over 90% of the shells miss? And have higher tiers should be mostly about CV battles with other ships just escorting the CVs?

    And what do you think happens if the kebab just angles a bit? Then those 50mm plates will actually seem like quite an advantage as they will bounce all DD&CA shells.

    Their role is neither that of a cruiser nor that of a destroyer, so making a direct comparison with either doesn't work. But that most ships currently have no way to defend themselves against Uda or Khaba. Does that sound balanced?

    Sims got much worse torpedoes. You have to choose between pretty fast and damaging 5.5km torps or 9.2km torps that are very slow and do little damage. Sims also has one less turret, but that doesn't really matter in practice as it had better turrets(the same ones as on Benson/Fletcher) which have a higher RPM and faster traverse speed. Sims got a total of 80RPM vs Mahan's 83.3, but that 3.3 shell difference is usually made up for by the traverse speed. The places where Sims is better than Mahan are speed(35 vs 38.5), detectability(7.7 vs 7.3 with camo without captain skill) and being able to equip the defensive AA consumable without having to sacrifice a turret for it.

    First of all, it was never nerfed, there just was a global maneuverability buff at one point, which made the shell arcs have a larger impact. Secondly, it's still a very good ship. As Robber_Baron pointed out earlier in this thread, I have written a guide on it, but really you just need to learn how to properly abuse smoke to be able to burn down enemies from up close without them even seeing you.

    Those ships really needed the nerfs. I haven't played Khaba yet, but there's a grand total of four ships I fear in the Udaloi: Khaba, Zao, Moskva, Donskoi or in other words: cruisers with railguns. All of the others either can't hit me while I'm dodging or just don't do enough damage to me to be dangerous, so I can just murder them. And as Uda is only getting a small RoF nerf and no range nerf it doesn't look as if that's gonna be changed.

    Short answer: how you combine them doesn't matter. Long answer: Captain xp = base xp * premium account modifier * (1.0 + daily win modifier + flag modifier + camo modifier + etc.) As you can see, all bonuses except for premium accounts are added and not multiplied. So, for a 1000so battle where you use your camo, your flag and your daily win(assuming a regular 50% modifier here), you will get 1,000*(1.0+0.5+0.5+1.0)=3,000 captain xp(assuming no premium account). For the other two you would have no bonuses, so it would be 1,000*(1.0)=1,000 captain xp, which adds up to a total of 5,000 captain xp. Now let's assume that you have one of the bonuses for each battle. First battle with daily win: 1,000*(1.0+0.5)=1,500 captain xp Second battle with flag: 1,000*(1.0+0.5)=1,500 captain xp Third battle with camo: 1,000*(1.0+1.0)=2,000 captain xp. Added together it's the same 5,000 captain xp as before.

    If the magazine takes damage, there's a chance to detonate. If an HE shells hits near the magazine, it will do splash damage to it. Everything is working just as intended by WG.
