    WR doens't reflect the quality on any player. The ships i'm playing the most now are Isokaze (most common) Nagato and Tenryu. I have a Kagero still upgrading and retraining. Some ships i'm playing because of Project-R. i did play with a lot of ships, sometimes once or twice, sometimes with 0% WR and those ships avg WR mess up the overall AVG but you know that already. Also i never said i was the best player in the world but if i don't have problems with DDs while playing BB, why would "great" players have them?

    "Useless Complaints From Noobs About DD "Buffs" and Mogamis" pretty much excludes you then. ABout glass houses, my old complaints were about IJN High Tier DD gameplay being boring and getting nerfed by the introduction of the Russian "gunboats" and the US DDs buffs. No contradictions or glass houses here.

    Did you read it all? I know it's a long post and i'm sorry for it. I said having faster torpedoes in a CV is more dangerous to other ships as they are launched so close to them. I also said it was harder now to get to those ships and in the end i even agreed that US CVs where nerfed.

    Certainly it's not the most influent ship in the game... You got a bit excited there. Do you get hit often by 20km or 16km torpedoes? Really? Come on you play Fubuki, you know how hard it is to put a torpedo on a ship with a decent captain... When i play BBs, DDs are the class who worries me the least. If you want to talk about op DDs you must stop at Tier IV (i don't think Minekaze is OP). Isokaze is, by a mile, the most op ship in the game, in any Tier. You must remember that IJN DDs got a huge nerf with the introduction of the Russian "gun-boats" and the buffs to US DDs. That was a huge nerf. Anyway you play DDs you know that 16km range at 72knots is not much different than 20km at 67knots. If it was such a huge difference, Now torpedoes on a ship like the Zao are dangerous at almos 80knots... Believe me, i'm happy because i have a Kagero with only a few battles and i'm doing really bad with it (still upgrading, retraining, etc) so i guess this may help a bit but in the end, only 2 (or 3?) DDs will get this so i wouldn't expect noticeable changes to balance in the game.

    When you can't left click something, press 'Esc'. I have, at random times, similar issues and it works for me so you can always try it.

    I had this idea that the Essex and the Midway were the leaders in dmg, xp etc but i may be wrong and i also think that US 1/2/2 (6P/Squadron?) has 30 planes total and IJN 4/2/2 has 32 planes... (4P/Squadron). Also, when i played CVs, IJN planes were so much weaker than US ones. Has some of this stuff been changed? I'm far from being a CV captain, just asking not judging anything.

    Yes i agree with you though i'm not so sure about noobs not wanting to try other ships... Apart from 1 or 2 smaller details, i think this will be a really nice update regardless of the public beta timing.

    I wonder if the timing for this Public Beta was the best since a lot of captains are trying to collect pearls for Project-R as fast as they can. Not criticising, but why not after Project-R? The event won't even take that long.

    You are the 4th player in this topic with that problem. There's not one single reply from WG Staff in all Public Test General Feedback. I'm sorry to say this but this forum sucks as it is, I'm sure devs are looking into it but that's not enough, They should, at least, SAY SOMETHING, even if it's bad news. After all, that's how forum works isn't it? I would really like to try the beta client but if it's too much work for WG Staff to reply, forget it. Just remember that the forum is also a part of the game.

    Yes, sometimes i want to sell items. Sometimes i want to keep them. What i really need is some depot option where i can see what modules i have and be able to use, store, buy or sell them. Well it's 16 december... "unable to download updates via http" I deleted my old test client and installed the new one. In the end of the installation i got this critical error saying it can't connect using http and doesn't update. I can load the game but with only 2 ships. The other ships are greyed out saying the ship will be available when download finishes... i used the link on top to resume download with same error. I did the usual stuff, start as admin, restart, enabled in firewall, etc but i always have this error.     MS_Surface on European server High level overview Mostly plays destroyers, especially high-tier Extremely rarely uses torpedoes (really?) Key vehicle - Fubuki It's original and a really nice idea but there's some innacurate data and i don't think all players are being accounted for, yet. With a some polish i would use it regularly.

    You can turn off the shaking thing in the options menu (graphics). I don't remember the name of it but it's a checkbox.

    Yes i do have a replay and after watching it again, i think that in point 1 the friendly planes were gone by the time i was able to see the ships. The ships were outlined in map, instead of filled so maybe it's possible for a Mogami to be detected only at 9.5km (with captain skills maybe, i don't know). Point 3 continues to bug me. I will play a few games just to make sure but i'm sure i get detected with AA on or by firing when i'm in smoke. I think one thing that may be messing up with this is the fact that my PC sucks so it looks like there's a gap between the time i detect a ship and being able to actually see it. Maybe my PC is loading the detected ship during that gap? Good thing i'll have a new PC in a week or so because since the 5.1 update i find the game a bit slower.     Hi, i'm having these weird issues with detectability: 1 - Undetected ships - because of islands - should be detected as soon as "logic demands", not a few hundred meters after the moment when they should appear. 2 - I have 5.5km detection range so i know that if i fire at more than 9.5km i can do it undetected. Now if i fire, say, at 10km and by the time the shell hits the target, i am at 9.4km i get spotted. The "hit" itself is a reason to be detected or there could be another reason? 3 - In a battle a few minutes ago (i can post the replay if you want) i detected a Benson only at 1.7km (no islands in the way) he was inside smoke but he was also firing. How is it possible that a ship less than 2km away from me, even with smoke, can fire undetected? Are some of you having this kind of issues?

    I know there's a ship behind the island because it's showing on the map. I couldn't see the ships because there was an island between us. There were friendly cv planes on top of those ships also. About pont 3, well i just reviewed Sharana's post and he doesn't say anything about being detected inside smoke when firing it's true but i can pretty much assure you that i get detected when i fire inside smoke (when in detection range) and i also get detected when i use AA inside smoke...     Ok maybe i wasn't very clear on some points: 1 - There's a detected ship behind an island. I'm moving in a way i would be able to see the ship (already detected by planes). In the moment where the island shouldn't be an obstacle anymore, i have to wait a while till i can see the ship. I should be able to see it right after the island. 2 - Ok that's reason enough for me. Just one thing. I assume the 20 sec rule only applies when firing right? 3 - I am now looking for a post by Sharana explaining detection ranges, i will leave it here when i find. As far as i know, firing will add about 4km to your detection range (it may differ from ship to ship... i think) so having a 5.5km detection range means i can fire at 9.5km undetected. I can fire from inside smoke at 7.5km undetected. I only detected that ship (Benson) at 1.7km (not even 2km...) and it was firing! Point 1 - I think it always happened to me, point 2 is the 20 sec rule, point 3 started happening in 5.1 (or 5.1.1...) The values i posted may vary from ship to ship but to my knowledge, there's no way you can fire at 2km (even with smoke) without being detected. Thanks for the replies

    shell travel time

    In your aim, you have distance in km and travel time in seconds. For other ships you can check YT. I know this is not really what you wanted but anyway shell travel time might not give you a correct value for it's arc. The speed of shells also have an influence i guess but i may be wrong (i don't think weight and shape of shell is accounted for).

    You can see why i am disappointed. I don't play USN DDs so i can't compare with these. I will start playing them though, they look better now. Russian DDs are more "inside the battle", fast guns, fast ships, go mano a mano with BBs, you sink but you sink happy. I'm having really a good time with these DDs. Isokaze is crazy good. OP as hell. Fubuki is what you see. Even Mutsuki and Hatsuharo had better ratios. I haven't tried Kagero but it doesn't look great. Shimakaze looks like a nice ship. IJN Fubuki (354 battles - 10km - 62knots) Torp.Hit Ratio: 7% Avg. Warships destroyed: 0.47 Avg. damage: 25K Isokaze (65 battles - 7km - 68knots) i "milk" this one when i'm standard Torp.Hit Ratio: 15% Avg. Warships destroyed: 1.08 Avg. damage :31K RUS DDs (I sink quite a few DDs with these) Gnevny (51 battles - 4km - 65knots) Torp.Hit Ratio: 16% Avg. Warships destroyed: 0.67 Avg. damage: 20K Ognevoi (29 battles still settling down - 4km - 70knots) Torp.Hit Ratio: 15% Avg. Warships destroyed: 0.66 Avg. damage: 20K

    Big updates are always hard to implement, things can turn a little messy. I know that people lost credits and premium, but i must confess it was kind of fun, there were ships inside islands... it almost looked like it was a pre-release of changes in new maps - without being able to see them ;). I am kidding but WG must be taking this really serious.

    It seems that WG loaded the new map data before the update but by now they are already aware of this issue i'm sure. Maybe we'll have a earlier update.

    Just come accross a standing still DD, launched 3 spreads of torps (10km torps) he was like 5 km away. All my torps exploded right before touching his ship. Then i started to fire but all shells hit this "invisible wall" right in front of him. Then i found out he was awake 'cos he torpedoed me and i sunk. Another player started complaining about having problems with his shells. Someone comments that maybe the guy has a Phalanx or whatever... Huum. It didn't looked like a bug to me as the player didn't even fire or move. He was just there relaxing, with his "space shield". He sunk me with torpedoes though so he was aware of what was happening. Is this a known thing? First time it happens to me. Good thing 0.5.1 is right around the corner. Here is the replay. Not a lot of time left to watch it.
