Bot spam games to get R1.

Things will only change once the money stops coming in. Then it will either be rework the game for player fun and enjoyment to get players back playing/paying or turn off the mains power on the server. Seeing that there is now a unicum only CV discussion thread, I really wonder if people realize that the game developer actually knows their game inside out and will have a spreadsheet for every parameter in the game and will only change the game for the better if they see fit to do so. They know all about botting, but if the bot account has premium ships........
  2. I'm getting four camo's for knocking a snowflake of a tier 10? No steel? I don't think I need a spreadsheet to track these rewards.

Removal of the Kamikaze from the game.

I think, in general, the mid tiers are a mess these days and not really that fun to play in a lot of the tech tree ships, so a lot of players don't use tier 5 to have fun. Mid tiers should be a place to have fun and play without radar, hydro, silly amounts of CV's, but really the game forces you up to tier 8+. This is why no one really bothers about Kami's anymore. At tier 10, there are plenty of reward/free XP ships that are annoying to play against. The Thunderer should not be singled out on its own, certain steel reward ships are basically a power creep joke and contribute the the staid and static meta at high tier.

Removal of the Kamikaze from the game.

They are not actually that common are they? They are countered pretty heavily these days too. By CV's. Do you play your Belfast much? Why don't you sell it for credits if you feel so strongly about OP ships? The CV example you present is invalid. 1) the kami player actually has to take some risks and make the right choices in battle, else it is back to port. 7KM torps mean that you have to position and torpedo correctly. This ship taught me have to play torpedo boat DD's. It also teaches you about concealment and using cover etc. Skills sadly not as common these days. A CV takes no risks and has no counter. 2) Three CV's a side at tier 4 is about as toxic as it gets. Imagine you are a new player taking out your Phoenix. What fun. You should also consider that most of the players in said DD are probably highly experienced in DD play and not 100 battle new players. So the OP'ness may also be down partly to average player skill and experience. Quite frankly, any new player will have uninstalled the game after the initial CV initiation ceremony in this game way before they experience the wall to wall Kamikaze players you are insinuating they will meet. Any player with experience and common sense can make a kamikaze player work hard for the battle. Let players play whatever ship they wish, this is a game to have fun in. Your account was around in 2016, you just did not get the Kami R for free, like some of us. Sorry.
  5. People only need to feel they are getting something positive out of the boxes. My experience of past WOT XMAS boxes is that you feel you get more from them than if you bought said won items individually. A feeling missing here.
  6. You are right I did, but with the long list of ships, what are the chances of rolling basically a duplicate (bar the external camo) of a ship you own? To be honest, clones of ships should be treated as duplicate. I bought some xmas boxes for the first time since 2017 as I have played the game regularly again for the past 6+ months. I don't mind putting money into the game, but I'm afraid that after seeing all this, I can also take the other option too.
  7. Perhaps you should just have a chance of winning any one of the ships listed as a whole. The shortlist mechanism is the problem. Also winning a clone of a ship, such as the Massachusetts when you already own the black friday edition of the ship stinks too, I have two Massachusetts in port now......thanks WG. TWO IDENTICAL PREMUIMS bar the external camo. Absolutely useless and a joke.

    Testing the Shortlist theory.

I already had a Vanguard and a Duca from the shortlist. Opening twenty mega crates, I got a Yudachi, Virbus Unis, Marblehead Lima and a Massachusetts. Considering I own a Marblehead and a Massachusetts B, getting two duplicate ships, but with different camouflages is the biggest bitter pill in this shipshow. Why do I need a Massachusetts and a Massachusetts B in port? I don't. YOU DO NOT NEED TWO IDENTICAL PREMUIM SHIPS EXCEPT FOR AN EXTERNAL CAMO. I entered this box buying nonsense with my eyes open, but essentially getting duplicate premiums, except for an external camo is very very poor. That should be a re-roll of the ship gamble mechanism if you own a clone of the ship currently rolled in the gamble. The rest of the stuff I got is worthless (flags and camo's) as I do not class such items as having any worth what so ever. If the game is fun, I have no problem grinding credits and XP. I received some coal (kind of ok) 5K dubloons, a small amount of free XP but no premuim time. Overall, to me, not worth the money. I'm afraid, after putting some money in, the wallet will now be closed now. I have seen enough. This game has just become a mix of this nonsense and playing clan battles to get rail gun cruisers to farm mispositioning players at tier 8-10 with stupid amounts of citadels at 18KM.

    Developer Bulletin for Updates 0.9.11–0.9.12

Playing for snowflakes or grinding the reward ship is not compulsory. I got 100 days of premium and flags for regrinds during the last event for the game anniversary. A nice reward for no more effort than playing the game and hopefully helping the team get a win. Seems fine to me. I never play for the reward ships as I don't want to feel I HAVE to play the game.

    T4: what a crap fest

Yes, tier 4 was good fun 2-3 years ago. I would stop playing the game if I had to grind through tier 4 - 5 - 6 now. Seriously not fun and more importantly, what tier do you learn DD and cruiser play now, without being perma spotted from air? Tier 4 and 5 used to be the the tiers to learn from your mistakes, but not since this scourge. I cannot blame players for rushing to tier 8-10. Why put up with the mid tier nonsense where AA is completely worthless, when you can play at tiers where AA is mostly worthless and may shoot a plane or two down during an incoming attack, and then decimate the squadron when it is disengaging. Rinse and repeat every 40 seconds. Amazing gaming experience for all concerned.

    Reported for playing CVs

Well, if things are as bad as you say and the report system actually counted for something, then most CV players would have been perma banned by now. The report system is as useless as concealment in a battle with CV's present. So basically OP, why do you care if you are reported or not? I would imagine that most CV players are reported due to the fact that is most obvious if the CV player is ineffective over all the other classes in battle and it stands out a mile if CV players do nothing for the team (eg spotting DD's) and just play the 'farm damage' game and disregard actually trying to contribute to the win. Players hate CV's as they are a class with no direct counterplay and effectively grief players for twenty minutes (if the battle lasts that long). If you want to play CV's then just expect your own team and the enemy to despise your choice equally, and probably report you and release a safety valve for themselves, as the class never results in fun battles for anyone.

Manfred von Richthofen's bombers are OP?

I think most players think this mode is very boring . Perhaps WG should try the next clan battle season without CV's? WOT are currently not allowing reward tanks in their ranked battle seasons as that game mode had a similar problem with a handful of reward tanks dominating the meta. It currently appears that WG are relying on the fact that players will tolerate this boredom to get more steel. This game has become more of an arms race than actually having fun playing it. A stale and boring meta exists. (CV's and 12KM radar cruisers with rail guns and strong armor when angled correctly).

    Submarine Testing

The game is five years old. There is no team play and never really has been any team work in random battles, unless you go into battle in a three player division. You honestly think adding submarines is suddenly going to inspire random players to co-ordinate and participate in teamwork? Seriously? All that is going to happen is the prey are going to be red border humping all game. What else can they do? If you try and play the game and objectives, you just get punished for it. And this will continue once submarines are introduced. This time, battleships are going to be pinged and hit by homing torpedo's until they are sunk. Sounds like real fun, eh?

    Submarine Testing

Just watched Flamu's latest video and yes, regardless of the small changes made, submarines will break the game in good players hands. Just shoehorning another class into the game to make cash money regardless of how much it destroys the game experience for the players facing the class. Just like CV's. If a class is taking this long to implement and appears to be difficult to balance into the game, perhaps this is a clue that it has no place in the game as it is designed overall. The difference between CV's and Submarines will be that people will quit the game if the battle experience is negative with this new class present. CV's are tolerated in the loosest sense of the word, but submarines will be the final straw for a lot of players. You cannot have classes for which there is no counter. DD's and cruisers trying to hunt/depth charge these things will just be XP piñata's for Russian railguns and anything else that shoots from range/cover. The whole counter mechanism against submarines will not work in practice. NOT A CHANCE.

    Submarine Testing

When the submarine update hits, the game is finished. Submarines and more planes. I thought this game was about surface ships. It has already been proven that anything other than surface ships don't fit into the game as it is designed. And then you add another game breaking class, and more planes......

    Ranked 18 Experiences

You must have the patience of a saint to have played 300 battles to reach rank 7. Seriously, ranking out is not worth the aggravation.

    Ranked 18 Experiences

Stopped playing as the constant CV's preventing any kind of spontaneous tactic/flanking, combined with winning comprehensively, then losing comprehensively, repeat and so on gets kind of boring after a while. Basically, the whole concept is very boring now and way past its sell by date. They appears to be a pattern with a lot of the results too, but I may be imagining things.
  18. As this game is still 'in development', playing the game means you are a tester by default. Just make sure you are not paying to be a tester. That is the best advice I can offer. Normally you get paid for doing work, but here you can effectively pay to be a game tester, Guinea pig for new game mechanics or just a HP piñata for ship classes that have no counter play, except 'just dodge or suck it up'. And yes this whole class is broken on various levels, not just the MVR, tier for tier. End of story. Luckily it could be worse, some of the cv mains are not that good, but as a consequence the spreadsheet says that the CV class is 'balanced'. The spreadsheet is always right.
  19. They want your money, that is why these missions are a grind fest. Make them too easy, you get the goods for free. Basically, if you don't want to play for 25 hr's a day to get a tier 8 pixel ship that will be chucked into tier 10 games constantly, I would forget about any grinding and just play the game for fun and enjoyment - if that is actually possible these days.

A community to save clan battles

Lets be honest, WG could easily code improvements into the game/game mode to make the game fun, but they choose not to for whatever reasons. They want you Clan battle boys to be annoyed, so you smash another season of clan battles farming steel, commander XP and credits and ultimately grinding enough steel to unlock the latest OP steel ship. This is the model for the game. Everything involves chasing that OP ship dangling like a carrot on a stick. The end game is that random joe's can then experience facing more OP ships and being power crept out of the game, unless they also join the bandwagon.

A community to save clan battles

We have to put up with CV's in random battles, so why should clan battles be any different? They annoy everyone at some time or another, yet we still keep logging onto the game. Yes, why am I even logging onto this nonsense at all? That is a question to ponder. What does this game bring? Fun? No. Maybe once every ten battles. The biggest problem with the CV class in its current implementation is that they punish players actually trying to play the game correctly. That is the biggest joke of this garbage class. And we have had 18 months of this nonsense now. They are the cockroach class, pure and simple. Played by players who either cannot play any of the other classes effectively, are number counters and all certainly players who do not know how to have fun in WOW's. The most boring class of the game without a doubt, which actually brings nothing to the table apart from grief. Only 5% of players would shed a tear if this class was deleted.

    The Dockyard: Build Anchorage

I have not bothered with these events before as I have not wanted to be chained to the game. This ship seems interesting and I might have a go. Does premium account help with the missions? I have just exhausted my 1.5 yr premium account bought with the proceeds of cashing in my old premium RTS cv's, so playing for free at the moment and wondered if the missions kind of rely on running premium account on the previous dockyard events.

    the slava it comes!

So the end game has arrived by the looks of it. Short of releasing guided missile cruisers, how much more powerful can each newly added ship become? Just what the game needs....... Unless you clan battle, rank battle, reset lines repeatedly and play, play, play, you become power crept out of the game. This is world of warships for the last couple of years. How about adding content that make battles FUN? Not just for the individual with the latest and greatest ship in an OP division? I'm afraid I have other things to do, so perhaps I should move on from this nonsense. I'm trying not to believe the flamuu hype train click bait, but this ship does look a bit silly really.
  24. It is about time WG put useful features only implemented by 'mods' into the main game, and prevent manual addition of features via 'mods' That way the rigorous testing between patches would pick up these problems and fix them in the first place. I actually don't understand the reason for the existence of extra mods, if nothing else, it is a way of implementing features not desirable to the game by individual users?
  25. You do actually play this game? When was the last time you had any kind of co-ordination in battle, aside from playing in a division? There is no co-ordination in this game. Hell will freeze over before there is co-ordination in random battles. It has not happened in the last five years. Dare I say it, ranked battles offer much more co-ordination between players than randoms ever do. Lack of co-ordination in this game is the biggest problem and the reason why most battles are so one sided. Battles comprise of basically which pile of domino's collapse first. It is about time more effort was spent trying to co-ordinate teams (I have no idea how as it is just common sense to co-ordinate with other players, in opinion) than introducing invulnerable classes that thrive on a lack of team co-ordination (CV's and submarines) and bovine excrement ships that have Armour, accuracy and hard hitting shells........ Playing submarines on the test server will never reproduce the same results as when the are released to the 43% potato's on the main server. It will be a disaster for anyone that clicks 'battle' to try and have fun in their leisure time.
