Especially as a DD main, you should know what a problem Venezia is for DD. DM is a about utility and strong DPM and Napoli can go places other cruisers cannot. She is just that tough.

Obviously not being stationary when in range of air strike helps. You can still use islands when moving, just less so. -
And still you have DM, Napoli, Venezia. At the beginning of the season we also used Wooster significantly to great effect.

7P is not a CV, far from it. Even Ise is not comparable. The biggest problem is the additional spotting by Ise. -
Shell flight time of GK shells at 6km is around 3s according to wowsft.com

That is a different topic. He was talking about the GK. The new BC are a different matter, but they are easy to adapt to.

No, you would need to play 2x300 matches and that would prove my point, unless you (sub)consciously sabotage the samples. Since you are fan of anecdotes, I tell you one of mine. I like to play Fuso and get good results with her and when Hyuga came out I got her. Hyuga has significantly better dispersion than Fuso and I expected to have a blast. Unfortunately I had problems hitting the enemy and when shots hit, I got riccochets and overpens. Even being toptier did not help. I did not play her for many weeks and today I got this: According to your theory that should not be possible as dispersion is fixed for an account.

And that is your personal problem. I play DD regularly and never had that problem with GK or any other KM BB of the original line. I had some bad experiences with Massa and KM CV, but now I know better and be more careful.

Do you think playing 11 vs 12 makes no difference? Depends on how the BB got sunk. When the DD failed to spot the threats that sunk them, a better DD player would have made a difference.

Not forgetting stuff is also part of a players abilities. As I said, when you setup an starting ammo choice, you will risk having the wrong ammo for your targets.

They can take more beating, as can BB. But even BB sink when they are exposed too much. They key to survival is to manage the damage you get. When you overextend or are stationary, you lose options to manage your damage.

RU ships burn the same as others ships. But as you recognized yourself, when you are stationary, you are easier to hit. More shell hits on your ship result in more fires. You also risk to get flanked. A more mobile approach is recommended. That does not mean that you must not be stationary at all times. There are situations when a stationary position is a good idea, but it should be avoided when many enemies can shoot at you and overwhelm your damage management.
