Then do not go for the map edge, when you have problems there.
-
There is no need for me to do this. I just try to win the match for the team By giving up, you are missing a chance to learn something This toxic behaviour only encourages other players to do something similar. But I am sure you will enjoy it, when you are top Tier and all your low Tier teammates do the same. But it will be a great battle for you, I am sure

I don't get the WG strategy behind superships
ColonelPete replied to Trench4nt's topic in General Discussion
the devalue is not really a problem, there will be always new ships and people want to get them Superships are a problem when their mechanics do not work well within the game (salvo fire) and WG should be careful not to widen the gap between skilled and less-skilled players further Superships are a problem when they just consist of fantasay ships with no historical backround Superships are a problem when they are not their own Tier and MM restrictions do not apply - I wonder if we get more credits and XP for damage on Superships now -
Matchmaker Discussion Thread & MM Balance
ColonelPete replied to Excavatus's topic in General Discussion
Probably because you play worse in your Nürnberg than your Königsberg. I do not like to say this, but you might be better off in a battleship. Nürnberg and Königsberg to do not allow many mistakes. BB are easier to handle. Play the Kaiser next, then the König. -
By not creating a ship where you press 4xW and the secondaries do all the work for you. You have to actually time your push to exploit weaknesses in the enemy position.
-
I have no idea how that should help. When you give up on winning before the match starts, you decrease your chance of winning even further. That is a self-fullfilling prophecy. I never used that tool and I never will and I am doing fine.

Does your prediction ratio go down? Did you not claim 90% a few weeks ago?
-
That applies to everyone. And I doubt detonations are a significant problem for. Other issues seem more significant.
-
That is less than 1.5% and still a small sample and other player detonate too. The difference to my detonations is around 0.3%-points, the majority probably caused by playstile.
-
Small samples are not relevant for WR.

I think a general increase in tick frequency would be better than juryrigging a system that considers faster reloading guns outside the tick time. It would also improve the visible checks in game and other features. Should there be mechanics that do not need a higher tick frequency, you could setup these mechanics that they are only calculated every nth tick. Yes, higher tick frequency increases server load and data usage, which would result in higher costs, but also improve gameplay experience.

Winrate is a realtiv measure of success and when you look at solo winrating, it is a relativ measure of skill. Why is it relative? Because it measures you against the players of your server, not the players worldwide. If there were servers of very skilled or very unskilled players, you would generate a different winrate there.

Closed test for 0.11.2: French cruisers (DB 273)
ColonelPete replied to YabbaCoe's topic in Development Blog
Depends on the 203mm gun and distance. 300mm+ guns should be a threat to most normal cruisers over all distances. And most supercruisers can deal well with HE spammers and have a higher survivability than most normal cruisers while also tanking more damage. Remember, the french Tier VIII cruiser is supposed to get a Repair Party. Many normal cruisers do not have that. -

So we get a line of supercruisers... I doubt that is healthy for the population of normal cruisers. These are just more ships you have angle towards to. -
We should be able to sell or buy other players' ships on auction
ColonelPete replied to anonym_ntfKigmJ0k9e's topic in General Discussion
And the people who got the Dubloons for the sale could now buy a lot of stuff from WG without spending money. And now imagine what happens to the prices of ships that are still in the shop. Do you think anyone would offer more? No, people would buy the ships for less. WG would earn less money and the people who sell their ships do not need to spend money to buy new stuff, leading to even less income for WG. -

You are funny. How is that supposed to work that WG earns more money with that? -
