    Poll, reforming Daily Mission participation ship requirements

    Back in the day, glorious old times, we used to have specific daily missions. You'd get a couple each day. Stuff like "set five fires", "score 8 torpedo hits" or "score 5 citadel hits" . I liked those way better than the experience grind missions. As for tier requirements: I currently have every single line at tier 6 or higher. Getting a line to tier 5 is two hours of playtime, so no, the requirement does not need to be lowered to tier 2. Don't promote low tier stat padding yet more please. Tier 4 is arguably okay, but tier 1-3 should be newbs only lol

    well, there are a lot of videos from CCs- all of whom got direct access outside the normal selection procedure. Otherwise- not so much. You could even argue that most likely among those that are not generally known as CCs, there will be a good number of Supertesters or community contributors for non-enlish speaking audience, rendering them largely unknown. I think there may in total be twenty actual players who got an invite lol. My issue with this is though, why would WG announce a submarine Beta test when you don't actually invite your players to test? With the CV test i got unlucky and only got to test after a while, but it was completely clear that others were testing in the mean time. Here thats not the case at all. Whats going on? Edit: Btw, in total the search term "wows submarine" yields less than 50 videos from actual submarine testing. Staggeringly low amount IMO, especially since that means not even all CCs bothered to put a video out there.

    Le Terrible- Terrible as it seems?

    Well, i absolutely loved the Vauquelin and i enjoy Le fantasque so far. Also, the bloom fix has been announced for 0.8.9 so open water kiting DDs will greatly benefit from that i think. I might get some additional doubloons for free soon, so waiting a bit with actually buying them lol. I also got the Lo Yang in a lunar container, which wouldve been my alternative so basically i'm 100% gonna get the Le Terrible at some point now :D

    When a skill is greyed out, that's only a visual indication that it doesnt make sense to pick that skill. You can still pick it, and it will have 100% effect. Go ahead and take it.

    Khabarovsk on average has significantly higher avg damage and WR than Gearing, Shimakaze, Z-52, Harugumo and Grozovoi. Only Yueyang, Daring and Kleber outperform it, where care must be taken that especially Daring and Kleber are played much less up till now than other DDs. IMO the Gearing and Shimakaze are the ones that should be buffed, not the Khabarovsk. Khabarovsk has had some much needed nerfs, nothing more

    I bought them, was good. Got 2x the set for 1.65eu. Ended up with a Lo Yang, 500 doubloons, 25k doubloons and some camos
  8. Yeah if you log in to premium shop there's 2x two bundles available. 2x standar lunar NY, eu1,65 for 5pcs 2x premium lunar NY, eu8,19 for 5pcs. Whatever you do, i recommend that you DO NOT spend money on the premium NY containers- they arent quite worth it- but for 3,30 you could see if you get lucky with an Anshan, Huanghe, Lo Yang or Irian
  9. I bought 5x lunar NY containers today (eu1.65 bundle), then one more after first one wasnt awesome. Got a frigging lo yang. Not sure if that counts in the topic, but id 10/10 spend 3,30 on it haha. Lucky draw ofc though

    Lets not forget that we only have 9 free letters at the moment anyway (including consumable keys). Opening up Z doesnt bring you to 12 yet, leave alone more, and then we're not even talking about practical layouts yet.

    So let me give a bit more constructive feedback. You see, your initial problem (ie. not easily shooting around corners of islands, thats a crooked description but you get it) is a problem that i understand and i won't say i've never wasted half of my shells like that. However, simply pressing C to switch the camera position to your aft (at least, generally thats what youd want then). That way, you can see if you clear the island with your rear guns and if those do then so will your front guns. Using C also allows to select the primary gun differently (although not quite consistent) so you can fire the frontal gun first for instance. Personally for me that makes that I indeed would never use a LoF indicator. It might be useful to avoid firing at friendly ships while in zoom mode, but thats highly selective. But while i could say more about this, i feel that using the "C" key might solve 80% of what you actually seek to solve. If not, please correct me- and i'll see if i can give some useful feedback lol

    right back at you. You see, i understand where you are coming from, but i am dead serious when i say that having a cross on the reload bar would be horrible IMO. You see, the reload bar already displays a cross when that gun is broken- i dont want to be under the impression my gun is broken while really theres just a tiny island in the way. Also, i understand your idea in the whole LoS/ LoF indicator, but i myself would maybe use this once in a hundred games at most, since in all other games you just know whether you'll clear islands etc

    Z also follows torpedos, which is insanely useful for DDs to see if you hit an enemy or even to warn allies at times

    I mean i actually said i'd be happy if it were customizable. I'd personally probably never or hardly ever change it, but you'd still only have choices between RTYUI most likely to choose from, so you'll still end up with some confusion every now and then. But making hard keybinds for each consumable is an abhorrent idea since currently you'll end up with 11 keys- for which we simply don't have space. I want a DD to have RTY for damage con, smoke and speed, and a BB to have the same RTY for damage con, repairs and spotter. Not have RUI for the BB then, that doesnt make sense to me. To some it might, but okay. But RUI is not that bad, it gets bad when you get to RUK: } or something like that, because you run out of options really, really quickly. So let the player choose the keybind out of RTYUI is fine with me, although i suggest to keep damage con at R. making hard keybinds for each consumable = NO

    What should be done with this from a development PoV is that you re-map the designation key for each ship in port for the consumable groups. So, typically cruisers have a group with Hydroacoustic Search OR Defensive AA, which can be called by using T. What one should do, is make it such that you can click the T under that group, and set up a key that you like better. say, U. Now, if there is a group that used that letter before (in my example, a Graf Spee would have heal on U) the group which used the letter U now is "empty", so it can't be called. Going into battle would make the consumable unavailable, unless you can set it up there anyway- and i believe clicking a consumable activates it (i dunno, who ever uses that? ). So you have to remap the former U group to a different letter as well, lets put it on K. The letters to choose from should not conflict with other interface keys (function keys, WASD, QE, CF, VB, H, Z, X, N, M , O, P) which limits the choices quite a bit haha

    Please, please please don't. At this point its simple right. You get in a new ship, you take a look at the consumable map & you know it. I dont care that with some ships heal is on T and with others its on U. What i would mind though, is if i only have three consumables in the following ships: 1. DD: damage con, smoke, speed, heal 2. DD, damage con, torpedo reloader, engine boost, 3. DD, damage con, MB reloader, engine boost 4. CL: damage con, hydro, def AA, 5. CL: damage con, fighter, radar 6. BB: damage con, spotter, heal Lets start at the DD with a sensible layout 1. DD: R, T, Y, U 2. DD: R, I, Y 3. DD: R, O*, Y hey, we're only at DDs and we've run through the keyboard already, since O is a default hotkey for AA sector prioritization. But lets continue anyway. 4. CL: R, P*, H* 5. Cl; R, J, K 6. BB: R, L, U Yeah, this is convenient. and now i've reused both O and P, both are already designated for in-game functionality, and H- which shows the ship data, so this clearly doesnt work. Of course you could instead use: R, T, Y, U, I, J,K,L,{,},: But that yields the question with me whether having 11 designated keys- which may still increase- is not a far worse option than simply having to remember which consumable sits where for which ship. The option that would be fine though, is to make consumable slots moveable, such that damage con is always R (lets not change that, shall we), but in a DD with smoke on T, speed on Y and heal on U, one could decide to take heal on T instead, smoke on Y and speed on U, long as you move the full consumable slot around. But key unification of consumables is an absolultely terrible idea. There are too many consumables for this. And mind you; Fuel smoke/ Smoke Stack is coming up too. Grtz I_Y

    First off, which devil came up with the idea of putting that on the reload UI then? Why not just put it in the crosshair like a sensible person? Anyway, i agree that you can just use your C key to switch turret view, even if its not completely foolproof at ranges of ~4-20 km. Having an indicator would be fine, but i think that would only result in people unnecessarily holding their fire while really they would be able to shoot over the islands. I'm quite amazed tbh to hear such suggestion from someone with 20k battles, don't you know the shell ballistics of every single ship by now? :P
  19. We need a Phillipe Auboyneau brother in the armory. We need a Kuznetsov brother in the armory. We'll get italian commanders, dont hurry. There are Pan asians. European arent a big deal, since the only ships are Blyskawica and Friesland- you can train a captain for it IMO. Commonwealth is pretty much the same, although for stuff like Haida a 10pt to start wouldnt be bad. 10pt is not that great for a start in experience terms though, it's only 1/10th of a commander training. I'd much more prioritize on getting Auboyneau and Kuznetsov (or mirror captains) accessible, since the grindfest for them was ridiculous.
  20. There are at least two extra german premiums coming up. Id like to see a tier 6-8, or maybe even TX coal/ steel IJN CV simply because CVs were vital for IJN power. Tad controversial perhaps. Also i want to see the Kamikaze back,since its inaccesible, and the Kitakami- for honour and glory (shits and giggles). Also, IJN lacks both a proper tier 8 and tier 9 premium DD option. US has 2CVs, Kidd, Black, Benham*, Somers and Flint and Atlanta as DD style cruisers. Then it has tier 9 and 8 cruisers and BBs better represented than IJN. The RN fleet can use a high tier cruiser. Bayard should be available for doubloons. USSR is fine. France is fine PanAsia is meager- the Anshan, Huanghe and LoYang dont fit the line. My personal priorities would be IJN CVs and DDs, and pan asian line- simply by allowing an extra torpedo option on loyang & anshan

    I think the deal on the Massachussets is probably not going to happen. That could be seen as a genuine pricing error (i could explain that for WG in two easy arguments). The 30% discount on doubloons seems different to me, and i am inclined to believe that this offer should have been available. Since i bought doubloons yesterday, i have submitted a ticket for information on the topic.

    Clan management

    There is a very simple reason for all this. Its not one game. I play WoWS and WoWp with 1 acc, Tanks with the other. In our clans we have people who only play WoT, but don't even have WoWS or WoWP accounts, and the other ways around. In addition to that, my experience learns that in game clan chat is hardly ever read. Using discord or TS will solve practically all of your issues.

    What i wonder mostly however is what is going on with this test server. I signed up as soon as the message was out there, and there has been radio silence since. My theory is that the submarines are in the middle of an enemy convoy and can't deploy a radio boey in fear of being detected

    I believe the main game will include CVs and subs, albeit with possibilities for 0-CV and 0-sub battles, as is the case (and common practice) with CV battles right now. If popularity for the classes becomes low, WG might introduce a surface ship only mode, which will not be the standard random battles.

    One thing is in general you can just wait for the final reviews. A particular example where that didnt work though is the Le Terrible, since this was released and then significantly changed after release
