This may be possible by manual adjustment of the preference file, not sure. . Similar to how teaining battles could be unlocked and now can be modified further than the client tells you

How far "Average Joe" player can go with the "Puerto Rico" building stages without using Doubloon accelerators at all?
Isoruku_Yamamoto replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
As for the original topic. I bought horizia after completing directive 1, since i wanted doubloons and it seems a proper investment. Re-earned it today, so got my doubloons back. I bought the first 300 token booster today, the next will follow tomorrow. Getting my points to roughly 8M andan income of somewhat 650 per hour. That means ill get to roughly 28M points eventually, if i dont unlock further boosters. -
Server issue/ super low FPS (21/12 approx 12:50 CET)
Isoruku_Yamamoto replied to Isoruku_Yamamoto's topic in General Discussion
I dont know if its properly solved after updating, but ive now missed 1 daily mission. Puerto Rico grind impossible, through a couple of battles with failing fps. Sigh. Well, who knows it was actually server stuff. -

Why can't We Gift Other Players Anymore???

My take is you may not habe been logged in at the time of checking? -
I like the ships bit it has a severe underperforming WR for me (7-8% below average). One of the issues lately i think is that the Yamato is- along with montana- the oldest BB in game, and they were balanced around a shimakaze being the fastest ship in game. Through that, the Yamato suffers quite a bit from the implicit powercreep of speedcreep. Not a huge issue, but it makes dictating the battle a lot harder

Peurto Rico - who is actually grinding her
Isoruku_Yamamoto replied to pzkpfwv1d's topic in General Discussion
Ive bought Gorizia and am grinding but not necessarily planning on getting it. Wanna see how far i can get but expect to fail. You have virtuay no time to grind when playing for free or with gorizia, meaning the schedule is nearly impossible. But again lets see. -
Gorizia - The 'Moderate' Grind
Isoruku_Yamamoto replied to black_falcon120's topic in General Discussion
Ive bought the Gorizia yesterday. Not because i was impressed with the shipbso much, but because it is a fairly intelligent investment IF you kinda want doubloons anyway. Re-earning gorizia is relatively easy if you have some XP signals, and youll have your doubloons. Now, the ship is also fairly good imo, with the problem being that T7 is a bit nasty for cruisers- they tend to suffer from mm more. I already scored my first 100k plus battle in the thing, consumables are great and all, just make sure you know your detection in smoke when using fuel smoke, its kinda high -

Have you won Missouri, Musashi, Benham or Belfast in any crate??
Isoruku_Yamamoto replied to OldschoolGaming_YouTube's topic in General Discussion
The Benham was up till the Puerto Rico the hardest to obtain ship, with a very well made but difficult event behind it. It costed 200eu then to buy straightout. I wouldnt expect that throwing in even 200eu on crates now would give you a great chance to get it. Benham is very much fun though. Missouri is great too, and belfast probably too (dont have the latter). The Musashi however is just a downtiered Yamato, which is fun but it lacks the two things that make a Yamato really powerful: the 2.1 sigma value and the legendary upgrade. So while the Musashi is fun and good, i think a Georgia and JB (both of which are currently available) are much more interesting. l- 69 replies

Hi everyone, Theres a little storm going on about the whole Puerto Rico directives grind (and, as a matter of fact, the Gorizia and all other related rewards, which are stuck behind the same wall). Now, I'd like to bring my feedback a tad more positive. I think WG has set up an amazing event, the whole shipbuilding thing looks pretty awesome, the event and reward look awesome- there is only 1 but. And this but is currently causing a tremendous amount of negativity. The but is obviously that the directives grind is pretty insane. Now, I really, really, think the event, the snowflakes, free gift containers, possibility of unlocking PR and Gorizia and all are freaking amazing. Just fix the directives and this event is 10/10 for me. Grtz Isoruku_Yamamoto

Carefully positive feedback on the NY update
Isoruku_Yamamoto replied to Isoruku_Yamamoto's topic in General Discussion
Thats why i call it 10/10. If they fix the directives. Right now it kinda sucks, but i'm using the conditional IF to indicate that IMO it could be a bloody amazing event. I trust things will change, i'm just saying i think it has a 10/10 potential. Situation isnt exactly 10/10 -
Carefully positive feedback on the NY update
Isoruku_Yamamoto replied to Isoruku_Yamamoto's topic in General Discussion
I think the marketing and monetization aspects are in fact not even that bad, i'd most likely have gotten my wallet out and bought the Gorizia if i was sure i could re-earn the doubloons. I tend to do that if it makes the missions really easy, but in this case it makes them easier on a titan scale. So still not exactly easy. Fixing only the directives would make this a beatiful event, and i can imagine that over in Paris/ Prague (did they move yet) they're having an emergency meeting right now. And if they do fix the directives, i'll applaud them for that too. -

Do battle types outside of random and clan battles exist? :P No those stats are only random really

Last iteration CVs murdered subs yes. Did you read the updated submarine test stuff though? Subs will no longer surface, which means that regular CVs will- as far as i understand- have at best only bombs (with reduced damage?), and at worst no weapon at all against submarines. As for the Ark Royal, I can imagine it is not the most popular in amount of battles, but many people who bought it may simply not play it that much. I have roughly 40-50 premiums by now, heck i cant just play every single one of them that much lol On EU at least 450 were sold (30 battles +), but i'll give you that thats a far lower number than i honestly had expected. I like the Ark Royal, its a cool looking ship, a gimmick, a historically cool ship, a premium of a tier and nation (CV) that i didnt have yet and all, but i agree the Indomitable looks fairly crappy atm- but im not expecting WG to release that any time soon. The indomitable looks like a worse of GZ right now. And it already wasnt received well in initial tests, but that was before AA buffs (reworking, okay) and CV aiming+ speed nerfs. I myself am not expecting the Indomitable any time soon, it was initially scheduled for 0.8.0 i believe (with the CV release) but that failed very hard. As a result, id say it is most likely long-term postponed until a new unique but working concept for the Indomitable has been figured out
-
Well the first premium CV released after rework would be the Ark Royal right? And that doesnt seem to be a full failure to me, though i could be wrong. As for the Indomitable if you mean that, i think that has been put on hold for a bit since it turned out to be very tricky to balance that thing with it having no torpedos, It'd need either a whole lot of- basically infinite- aircraft, or very strong groups, both of which are things WG is a tad wary of. Furthermore i reckon that WG will wait a bit with CVs until subs are in a clearer spot, since a second CV class would be intended to function differently from "normal" CVs. Making effectively a second CV class is wiser to do AFTER they figure out subs than before doing so, since the second class may also get anti-sub capabilities as one of the tasks then.

I'm sorta expecting the Pan-European/ Swedish DD line in update 0.9.0. Submarines will most likely be fully introduced on update 0.10, or they may even call that update 1.0 if combined with a game engine or graphics update. Not sure if swedish DDs will be around that quickly though so i might be wrong.

Finally, got a 19 point captain....
Isoruku_Yamamoto replied to Hopeless_Guppy's topic in General Discussion
It his first 19 pointer. Doesnt sound like you can afford a designated 19 point premium ship commander to me then but okay. I'd then go with standard BB captain untill you get a proper amount of captains. If you do spec it specifically for massa you want secondary build right? I dont have a massa but still -
Finally, got a 19 point captain....
Isoruku_Yamamoto replied to Hopeless_Guppy's topic in General Discussion
Advice #1: Use your commander xp increasing signals on this ship and the other US BB from now on, so you get elite comm xp. Advice #2: Dont use him only on massa, why would you have designated premium ship commanders? Advice #3: Priority target Expert marksman BFT Concealment Expert --- AFT Vigilance Adrenaline rush Last 9 pts depend on if you have ships like missouri/georgia also, and are a bit more free i suppose -
The izumo is, and has always been, a very strong and potent ship. It has weaknesses even more pronounced than the Yamato, but playing through her will help you become a good Yamato captain. Id say using free XP to shorten the grind by getting better modules is not necessarily a bad idea, but skipping the entire grind is. The Izumo and Yamato both share the same slow, sluggish playstyle that in its own way is also very elegant, and thats something to get used to really.

Coal/Steel/Containers from update 0.8.11.0
Isoruku_Yamamoto replied to pzkpfwv1d's topic in General Discussion
Okay, if you have ALL ships in game including ALL reward and ALL premium ships, you'd still struggle to obtain wide over 29.999 coal, and with steel being 75 per tier 8-9 thats even a far more grim picture. There are 101 wiki pages on tier 9 ships, which will include double and non-released ships. 8k steel is theoretically impossible as such (101*75=7575). While 7k seems practically undoable already. As for tier Xs, i myself have a good number by now and hope to add the smolensk pretty soon- at the very latest during update 0.8.11 week 1. I just realized my total of tier Xs will cross the 10- just, while i filled in below 10, but hey- 32 replies
