I myself have completed construction of the Puerto Rico, as you can see in the enclosed picture. Unfortunately WG thinks otherwise, since the china still needs to be boarded, tablecloths are missing, paintings havent been made yet and heck where is the toilet paper?

active [BBMMx] Beer Belly Master Mindz eXtended Division/Scenario/Fun
Isoruku_Yamamoto replied to Timewarp76's topic in Clan Recruitment
I dont currently have the pretty pictures at hand that Mr_Edge always posts, but that doesnt make you guys any less welcome to join for a chat and a game or two! -
Why? You can use doubloons today right? Man, that sucks, i feel freaking sorry for you
-

dd nerf Huge DD nerf might be coming for patch 0.9.1
Isoruku_Yamamoto replied to Jethro_Grey's topic in General Discussion
At the very least this 1.8km distance should be 0.8km for DW and 0.4km for Asashio lol. In addition, this nerf does not only affect DDs: BBs will remain in their current spot but get some buffs, except secondary BBs. Battlecruisers and heavy cruisers will be in a god position Light cruisers will get some nice buffs Aircraft carriers will get thrown into oblivion, made utterly useless except for tier 4 and tier 6 in tier 5 battles -
"Hall of Fame" (i.e. "Directive 7" done) stats across all WoWs servers...
Isoruku_Yamamoto replied to Leo_Apollo11's topic in General Discussion
Thing is, even people who DO complete directive 7 are not at all guaranteed to get Puerto Rico for free if they were trying to do so. So while this is an indicator, we can take roughly half of the initial 400 people to have actually gotten Puerto Rico for free- assuming they didnt buy boosters to begin with. Lets be generous and assume none actually did. From the later added players (Klopirat's update) none would have been in time if i'm correct to get PR for free). Leaving a stunning total estimate of 200 people of a 1M estimated playerbase, or 0.02%, to have gotten the PR for free -
Will Benham be available to the playerbase?
Isoruku_Yamamoto replied to OldschoolGaming_YouTube's topic in General Discussion
IMO they shouldnt sell them. Putting them in boxes like they did now is disputable, but as i said i would certainly not oppose the Benham being available through a comparable, slightly harder or slightly easier grind. Thing is, if such grind were available, i'd want to be able to get something nice myself too (a buttload of doubloons, coal, steel, etc) -
Will Benham be available to the playerbase?
Isoruku_Yamamoto replied to OldschoolGaming_YouTube's topic in General Discussion
I wasnt aware that KA and Nikolai were officially withdrawn, although i do read patchnotes normally i tend to not pay attention to those low tiers too much. I do know there was a fuzz about the GC, but i think it was set to be reworked (possibly) and then maybe return to the store. In that same fashion the Enterprise isnt officially withdrawn, they are looking into "its performance as of 0.8.7" , yet it is rather unlikely to return to regular stores even if its not exactly broken- its just strong and easy to play compared to other CVs and there are somewhat 100 players on EU whove demonstrated that better than in other CVs. Still my point was that the list of truly withdrawn ships is quite short, and the Benham (and Vampire for that matter) are officially not on the list. I myself own both, and am especially happy with the Benham, yet i would certainly not oppose the idea of re-releasing the Benham. Though in my opinion it is a rather special ship and it'd be good if they then released it through another event or so, not just by selling it- you could already buy it before. Problem with that is then what the compensation/reward should be for owners of the Benham, cause you could make it like a tier 9 container, but some have all of course (especially ppl that have benham are likely to have at least a few) -
Will Benham be available to the playerbase?
Isoruku_Yamamoto replied to OldschoolGaming_YouTube's topic in General Discussion
I said kitakami was removed, so we agree on that one. Gremy, Imperator Nikolai, KA and GC have never been truly withdrawn- they simply are not for sale anymore. That is not necessarily the same, though it is effectively the same at the moment. It makes sense the Benham and Vampire are listed as Rare- Benham has been available for 1 event only, Vampire for 1 mission and a month of shop time or so. The others are currently also hard to obtain, since you cant actually get them right now. That probably suggests that some of them may not return to store, whereas for others the door is half-open to return. -
Will Benham be available to the playerbase?
Isoruku_Yamamoto replied to OldschoolGaming_YouTube's topic in General Discussion
If im correct the truly withdrawm premiums at the moment (though still obtainable through christmass containers, SCs and more) are: - Missouri - Musashi - Kronshtadt - Belfast - Kutuzov - Kamikaze (R)/ Fujin - Enterprise And then we have the fully withdrawn, completely unobtainable and even removed Kitakami (ooh i miss those days) Any other ship may still be sold in some way. That includes the Benham and Vampire, though it does not mean those ships WILL be sold. -
This must be some sort of record....

This only provides data for players with the minimum battles played, but still the best place to look yes -
Dedicated captain for your premium Supercruisers.
Isoruku_Yamamoto replied to Jvd2000's topic in General Discussion
I use Atago/Zao/Yoshino/Azuma as a combo. Then Kronshtadt, Stalingrad i use a BB style captain which will later go to moskva i guess. Moskva is good for tank build too. I dont have any of the US supers, but id use the monty captain for sure. Cant imagine youd strictly need a designated captain (PT, EM, Vigilance, SI, conceal, AFT, maybe AR, dunno my exact build) For Graf Spee its not worth it at all, use general BB or general cruiser. . As for exact skills: i consider DE to be useless on virtually any cruiser other than US standard ones. AR is also generally useless imo, effect is far too low to spend two points on. Best used on shimakaze, minotaur, dont use it elsewhere. PT and EL are great skills for battlecruisers. SI depends on the cruiser, generally meh but most BCs arent that skillheavy. -
Change damage number to a Percent score?
Isoruku_Yamamoto replied to Padds01's topic in General Discussion
Nah, damage is more fun to look at. Also, damage is a more direct indicator ofhow you perform in a ship- %ages would depend on the mm and battle situations to heabily. There are kills and confederate to account for those percentages. . Though i wouldnt object against a % hp bar, it should be optional, and the detailed and personal score post battle should imo remain damage based -
Did you get what you wanted from New Years Gifts and Rewards?
Isoruku_Yamamoto replied to DFens_666's topic in General Discussion
Imo the event as a whole was too scattered. I bought Gorizia, and with that i hot a good number of rewards: - Gorizia/ doubloon compensation (either. I paid for the other then). - 3-4x NY camo- which are pretty useless for me bit still. - many signals - probably over 10M credits in compensation for T6 ships plus port slots - premium days - good amounts (~50k / 2k) of steel and coal. Thats all awesome. The pain though is that Puerto Rico was advertised as perfectly doable- and it really wasnt. Not even close. I would complete 30 stages, meaning the dockyard shows a floating, fully functioning ship, yet six extra stages were added to make it impossible to get for free. Lame stuff. -
The sound advise is to get a good laptop/ pc that is more suited towards gaming and general use than the apple, which is only useful in 5% of normal applications. And i know its an easy statement, but honestly all macs have going for them is a relatively nice interface. As for actual solutions: does this happen when you run a training battle? (Make sure to enable cyclone on a cyclone map). Do you have such issue with flak, aircraft, secondaries or detonations? Do you know if using radar during cyclone changes anything for you?
-
Now that actually goes under the disruptive gameplay thing, even if its not direct rigging.
-
You're quoting an article that boils down to "any disruptive behaviour". What i'm saying is that its not necessarily disruptive. Spending the entire battle spamming rockets next to an enemy player is disruptive, since you wouldnt engage in the battle. But if the battle is already practically over, its not necessarily disruptive. I can't quite judge since i don't know the exact situation, all i'm saying is it will depend on the situation on whether its actually problematic or not.
-
You are though, but you are not supposed to help the enemy win. Those can be completely separate things though. And thats the art in this, you should only engage in such practices when the outcome of the battle is already set in stone. And of course even if you are already losing or winning there are still limits, but this is within limits i'd like to point out that i strictly am against game rigging, its just that missing a rocket salvo or two when you can finish the target involved anyway- or you don't even need to- is barely rigging, especially since you can do the potential damage that we're talking about (49k) BY NORMAL PLAY.
-
Meh, if i'd be in a CV in clear lead and someone asks for me if i can farm him some potential damage in exchange for an easier kill i'll help him out, long as i'm sure my planes will survive long enough & i dont need them elsewhere. If he's last player on like 10k HP i'll easily do that, why not? Same as asking a BB to miss 1 salvo, in return you can turn of AA or go broadside to BB once you do have the potential. If you lose the battle anyway its hardly rigging at that point too
-
Giving potential damage in a CV is terribly easy if you aim for it, just throw some rockets/bombs staight aside someone or just shy of his bow, or send a couple of torpedos parallel along the enemy ship
-
In my opinion asking someone to help you complete missions is not by definition rigging, since you're not necessarily changing the outcome of the battle. If said mission involves getting kills or whatever it becomes a different story of course, but farming potential damage is one of the least battle influencing things that a player can do in a battle. If the CV drops 1-2 strikes on this dude he has his mission, and after that they can proceed to fight the battle as before- which should hardlly affect the battle unless it was terribly close
