  1. Don't worry, I wasn't thinking on creating a tight spread with IJN torps speed And yeah, it's not the first time you talk about this future IJN drop modification but, right now, I'm focused on... right now :p Because the game will leave "OB Phase". I hope the idea you're talking about will be perfectly tuned because it could be full of easy flaws too. I'll be happy to try it the day it'll be live. Untill that day we have no other choice than to talk about present !
  2. True, true. I looked like only focusing on damage. Usually I don't and I blame people who think skill is either damage or numbers of sunked ships or winrate. Anyway, what you say is true. But I'm still thinking the actual 4drops-max dispersion / 6drops - low dispersion isn't a good thing. Factions have to have to own their own identity (yes) but I think WG actual design is full of flaws.
  3. Thanks again for this post Sharana, tbh. I was asking myself if I did good on my Hakuryu since the patch and this average "85k" on Haku reassure me: obviously some people have a lot of difficulties because I'm really higher than this. Syrchalis must be higher too and like you said, we don't have to take our only experience as a landmark. Btw, I disagree when u talk about the Midway "a bit" OP: the gap between average Haku and average Midway is SO BIG. 110k in average for average players on Midways shows that there is a problem. I dont ask WG to rape Midway, I'm just saying. For me, the actual problem of US drop is that a good US CV player almost doesn't give a crap of AA cruiser skill while for japanese it means "meh drop". ps: Oh, there is "expert players" stats too in your links. Okay, I should be considered as en expert then ! (smile guyz, smile !)
  4. I don't like the way Flamu is going in a crusade but his last post is right on a single thing: it would be really cool to get those stats for T9-T10. Playing T10 myself, the whole CV games and balance is changed as soon as T9 is at stake. T10 is even "worse" with the speed boosts of airplanes etc. But if we don't have it: don't put those boards in a trash because they don't support ur crusade Flamu. Self intellectual moderation is a good start when you try to be smart (not easy though).
  5. Thanks for ur perfect answer.
  6. Sharana, most of time I disagree with ur opinion but I thank you for those stats and the link beneath it. I'd like to know: who is doing those boards (http://maplesyrup.sweet.coocan.jp/wows/ranking/index.html) ? Copyrights are linked to Ayase Megumi, dunno who it is. And from which exact source do they extract those stats? is it 100% sure? (I'm not doubting, it's just a fair intellectual questioning).

    Commander dismissed by mistake

I confirm: I've lost my lvl 15 captain just before getting my Hakuryuu, by mistake (because I'm a retard) and WG answered my 3 tickets with the same answer each time: "not possible, dont have the tool, sorry".
  8. I've never talked about up or nerf as far as I'm concerned. I talked about a mechanic change and its impact which destroys japanese playstyle while leaving US almost intact. This game mechanic change was indeed, maybe, thought as a nerf but if that's so, it's not a clever way to balance at all. Ideas to balance are plenty. Destroying identities between trees isn't. And quit talking about performances, I've never talked about performances in my original post. I will repeat myself: I'm not playing for the damages I do, I don't have a [edited] problem and I agree since the beginning that CVs need balancing. I'm talking about game mechanic, playstyle and, mostly, fun. Nothing more. And 22cm, plz, quit being agressive or thinking you are on crusade because I didn't attack anyone or searching for arguying posts. I've exposed my analysis, I just get minimalist pointless answers by now.
  9. You could quote my original topic and read it maybe? Maybe you'll get the real topic's subject which is not about up or nerf. Or you can't keep on posting off topic remarks.
  10. That's were you don't get it: I still can crap 200k-300k damage in your face atm and watching you sink. My point wasn't on the damage (and I still think CVs are doing too much damage atm) but on playstyle and fun. But dont read my posts, stay in your chair and enjoy ur empty state of mind.
  11. No no, still drop by 4 for a single wing. Dunno what u'r talking about. I was talking "by wing" here, obviously. Thx GhostNemesys, I've changed it
  12. Have u really read what I've posted? I doubt tbh
  13. Playing Haku, the only change which made me stop playing atm is this turning radius change for all aircraft. Atm, it forces players to drop in highly anticipated straight line, without the possibility to adjust it at fast speed (in Hakuryu, at least) on last moments, before the "diving zone". US players dont sense it a lot because it was already the way US drops worked: due to long activation time of their torpedoes, they had to drop in long straight line. That weakness worthed it because of the 6 torps drops. At the opposite, to compensate the 4 torps drops, IJN had a really different playstyle: drop the closest, the fastest and the most accurate ever by adjusting drops really quickly. The counterpart of it was the natural high dispersion of torps and the sick dispersion on disturbed drops which made those drops pretty ineffective (while US suffer a lot less from this dispersion, to make it more balanced). But now, IJN have lost this tricky part of the gameplay which made the difference between good and bad IJN CVs players. And, for me, all the fun came from that way of dropping. I DONT CARE OF THE DAMAGE I DO IN GAME. Really. I've played most of my CVs before Haku on fighters builds, right? And I agree CVs needed to be balanced but this "turning radius" change destroys all the skill in IJN playstyle. Furthermore, IJN have now 4 drops with big natural dispersion + long distance drops without adjusting possibility + sick dispersion from AA skill = stacking of penalties and no skillfull way to take the deal now. US still have their penalties but they have strong features: the end game 2*6 drop worth it 1000%. People shouldn't complain about AA or lost of torp planes in builds: that's balancing. Even the "fighters war" between US and IJN isn't that unbalanced once you've understand several mandatories upgrades (or not) or talents to untide the wave. But this turning radius change, for IJN, is a real skill (fun?) disaster. As far as I'm concerned, it has killed all my pleasure to play. Being less effective in damage metter isn't a problem for me, I don't play for damage because my irl [edited] is Okay. Keep that in mind. I'm really not crying about my [edited] right now. For example, I've always thought that a nerf of 50% of torpedoes damage from torp planes wouldn't be a scandal and could be tried. Before this patch, it wouldn't have killed the interest of CVs (because, yeah, me doing "poor games" on my Hakuryu with 150k damage at least isn't normal). Ideas to nerf CVs, I have a lot. But this turning radius change isn't balancing the CVs, it's killing the skill part of IJN CVs. That's all. I just wanted to post this in a new topic and not a single post because posts are atm flooded by rage or useless whine (by a lack of knowledge of "Dogfighting expert" for example). I'm really not complaining about balancing and nerfing CVs. Playstyle is important in a game: it's a matter of identity and skill, both. I don't think killing IJN playstyle the way they did with that turning radius change (maybe unwillingly right?) is a good thing. Have a good week end all of you, and respect to DD players who are less and less present in high tier games (like IJN CVs btw ).
