Lol, i know this reply is super late, but it might be useful in the future. Just now looked up this post to see whether Fire prevention or Expert marksman was better. went with marksman on BB.
I did want to put in my two cents in reply to the original post though. As far as BBs and commander skills, it seems many aircraft carriers tend to target BBs so I have been beefing up my ships with anti-aircraft skills such as basic fire training, advanced fire training, and manual fire control. in addition, on the ship modules I throw on auxiliary armaments mod 1 and AA guns mod 2. This may be an anomaly, but the Texas starts with a really high AA score of 49, and with those commander skills and upgrades it's now up to 74. on a tier 5.
