    [UPD 11/2] Update 0.8.0.2 Hotfix

"To allow you to adapt your Commanders and ships to the new carrier gameplay as comfortably as possible, from February 8 to February 11, you’ll be able to retrain your Commanders, redistribute their skill points and demount modernizations for free. This event includes all Commanders and ships, regardless of specialization or class." Well not to be a moany pants but it's now the 11th and we can no longer change our builds as stated specifically in the patch notes. I was waiting until today with a lot of captains to make my mind up about certain changes and now I can't change any builds or demount/change upgrades. With all these hotfixes going on it's obvious a lot of the game is currently in flux. Please have the decency to allow players to make the according changes to compensate to captains/builds without making us pay for it. It stinks. Please in future keep your word wargaming!
  9. Hi and welcome once again everyone to my how to play series featuring the Hms Daring, the wows Tier 10 british destroyer. This world of warships Daring review contains all my own personal hms Daring gameplay highlights including wows daring modules, full world of warships daring build with captain skills including my own thoughts and strategy on how to play the hms Daring to it's strenghts as it's one of the most powerful royal navy destroyers in wows. That being said it requires a high skill ceiling and a lot of patience. Please let me know what you think of the Daring and how you approach playing the tier 10 destroyer HMS Daring.
  10. I would but the Jutland allows for more flexibility. I posted this thread here recently about the Jutland.
  11. hey everyone, I got the mission to unlock the Jervis just over a week ago and after a rocky start I've quickly developed a real affection for this great little ship. I still only have 15points invested in actual captain skills and am trying to figure out what will help my play style the most be it IFHE or RPF for the final 4 point skill or even maybe utilising the bonuses on the specialised Dunkirk captain. Anyone got any input or advice on what they have done themselves? I put together a video highlighting a very strong strategy for playing the Jervis and its performance is simply amazing so far. After 23 solo queue games I have an 87% win rate with a top damage game of over 191K. Pretty damn formidable for a tier 7 dd

How to Play Royal Navy Destroyer DDs Line Hms Jervis

Hi MRBTB, There are a number of ways to stealth torp in the Jervis and just involve a little more thinking ahead and preparation. The Jervis has a great turning circle of 590m with an extremely fast rudder shift and with practice the 700m stealth window is enough room to make that fast turn but does require practice. You can try preparing your turns earlier than normal slow your speed while angling away towards your escape vector, let the enemy close that distance into torp range. You can even reverse slowly when needed, drop your torps and instantly go full speed and never get detected. It's a tactic that can be used to great effect not only in the Jervis but in many other destroyers in multiple lines and definitely worth practicing.
  13. Firstly I'd like to wish you all a happy new year and secondly I would like to share with you my experience on how to play the pan Asian tier 7 destroyer the Gadjah Mada. The Gadjah has faced some recent power creep from the likes of the Jervis, Lightning Cossack etc new ships to the game that you will regularly encounter in random battles but the Gadjah is still outstanding in my opinion. I included a video from my how to play series which goes over the ship upgrades, captain skills and highlights from an extraordinary game I recently played with no less than 7 achievements and 7 kills really showcasing the power of this fantastic destroyer. I hope you all enjoy the video where I cover the strategy and tactics I employ to get the most out of this amazing ship. Feel free to dissect and criticize if need be, I welcome all advice given in the right spirit.

Neptune - What to make of it?

@Seiranko I posted this a few weeks ago about how I approach the Neptune. In my humble opinion this ship is amazing when played this way
  15. Hey everyone I recently completed the royal navy missions getting enough guineas to open up the HMS Cossack, the tier 8 premium british destroyer and it's a ton of fun. It has some nice economic bonuses making it a nice credit earner and ideal for retraining your british dd captains. I put together a video on how I play the Hms Cossack for the best results and it's very similar to the hms lightning with some subtle differences. What do you think? Do you think the Cossack is superior or inferior to the Lightning?
  16. Adm_Ballsey

How to Play HMS Cossack. Better than the Lightning?

Hi Gravelbelly, It excels in that role with its fantastic concealment, once you gain confidence in her you will find it excels at the gunboat, torpboat hybrid role aswell

How to Play HMS Cossack. Better than the Lightning?

Hi Philjd, if you are loving the Cossack it should be a very smooth transition to the lightning, the captain skills are virtually the same its just a little less gunpower more torps and less speed but no less lethal than the Cossack. I've personally come to the conclusion that atm the Lightning pound for pound is the best destroyer currently in the game. I really consider it that strong

How to Play HMS Cossack. Better than the Lightning?

@Negativvv Both are fantastic the more I play them the harder I find to make a decision between them. Both of them are incredibly empowering destroyers and by empowering I mean I really find myself capable of turning the tide of battles with them.
  19. After having a lot of fun testing out the cv aircraft carrier changes I wanted to share my thoughts and experiences with you all here being carrier captains. Please check out the gameplay footage and give me your hard honest opinions on what you think on what wargaming has done right or done wrong if that's what you feel. The brutal truth folks is what is required! My own personal opinion I thought it looked stunning! Time Stamps 2:20 The proposed changes to the captains skill tree how they will affect carriers planes etc. 3:30 Japanese deep water torpedo bombers. 12:17 Rocket bombers/fighters 16:49 Armor piercing dive bombers
  20. I had a load of fun playing the HMS Neptune and despite hearing quite a few negative opinions and articles, I found it incredibly powerful. I put together a collection of highlights trying to illustrate how I played this very strong cruiser. I hope you all gain some useful tips on how to maximise your performance is this tier 9 british cruiser. This guide focuses primarily on using the smoke consumable remaining as stealthy as possible but yet being very aggressive when the opportunity presents itself. Please let me know in the comments what you think

How to Play HMS Cossack. Better than the Lightning?

@MRGTB Even if you fire your guns 1 second before leaving actual smoke cover you will remain undetected providing no one is within your standard detection radius.

How to Play British Cruisers Line Hms Neptune Wows Review Guide

@ScoutMkoll The Neptune is incredibly powerful. I hope you were able to gain some tips from the video I posted
  23. I've played over 80 games in the Hms Lightning now and regard it as one of the most fun competitive dds in the game right now. What do you think? I put together a video regarding how I play this ship for maximum results using footage since the 0.7.11 update regarding the improved matchmaking and lessened armor piercing damage from 280mm guns, a real quality of life improvement for dd captains everywhere and much appreciated. 2:30min Ship upgrades and captain skills.
  24. Hey everyone, I just completed the new Halloween submarine event operation Terror of the Deep. It really does include some unique gameplay if not overly challenging to be honest. Maybe the harder settings will provide a greater challenge. I'm curious as to what wargaming are planning or have in store for us with these submarines. If any of you are having trouble with it check out the video to see how to play terror of the deep and get 5 stars quite easily.
