@robihr@Tungstonid So there are 2 sets of Yamato challenges? Cause mine is the one repeatable everyday and I won't call it a challenge that is a "resetable" unlike the get 10 citadel challenge since it requires only 1 win in a Yama to get the container so there is no progression per se at all, unless OP is talking about what @Gnirfhas described and has a challenge counter of 10~30 games for his HSF Yamato mission then i stand corrected.
-
I would think its worth it. The range of CV torps doen't feel that important as compared to the speed since the further you drop away, the higher the chance of the targeted ship avoiding yr torps. Plus you'll have to concentrate more in judging the distance to "snipe", which could be used elsewhere.

Well one can only hope but i really doubt WG will do anything extra apart from nerfing the fighters though.
-
It still makes no sense to downgrade USN CVs though and right after they finally balanced them. Say USN fighters are super strong, but that would be balanced against IJN's strength in flexibility. Right now they're just making playing IJN CVs the easy mode while USN CVs are the hardmode.

For the missions probably try to relog in again and see if it works. As for challenges no s#$@ Sherlock they reset everyday How is there even progress for the HSF Yamato misdion when it only requires you to win 1 battle to get the container?

More like DD with no balls. Fudge. I had to cap twice in my Missouri just because my only DD couldn't be bothered to cap beyond 1 cap. There was a free cap sitting right in B with no enemy whatsoever but noooooooooooo had to go after a lone Bismark in the middle of nowhere. -
Kinda ironic but I just got killed by one of them sloth

So was in my Yama earlier on this nice map. A was basically ours already, so I asked the rest why not push B? Note fat freddy in convo. So apparently I'm playing my Yama wrong. Instead of being out there tanking damage for the team and dishing out pain, the proper way is to be out there camping like that guy's div mate. 30+km range with spotter planes is the way to go. So I obliged and let the fat freddy do the tanking. But apparently now I was the camper, which is a big no no to Mr fat freddy. So this other guy spent the last 16 min of the game shooting at range while I was out there tanking and doing damage. You know what is the worse thing? He gets rewarded for camping. Hey but what do I know? Just a potato anyway that can't match up to that awesome rank 1 unicrum Edit: no time to screenshot the minimap during battle, so have the convo instead. -
I think its just WG's way of saying most BB dri....... erm most BBs are slow like a sloth

I had no idea WG registered as a charity. Next campaign they'll be giving out free Musashis to whoever completes it.

IJN CVs offers flexibility in terms of playstyle and combines that with brute force at tier 9 and 10. With their balanced loadout it depends on how you want to play since you can literally do anything with the squads that you have. The flip side is they have lesser and slightly weaker planes than USN CVs. On the other hand, USN CVs are abit of a brute force. The seemingly limited squads before tier 9 is actually balanced enough tier for tier against IJN CV. Just have to be creative. For example USN fighters have more planes = more health plus they have more ammo. Creative use of strafing will help you alot. Dont be afraid of strafing out and losing a plane if the odds are against you. Strafe can also be used as a speed boost for your fighters to run away from enemy fighters or to catch up with enemy attack planes. In general my strategy for both USN and IJN CVs are the same. Its what cornflakes have described except i send my fighters out to provide air cover and scouting first instead of TB. The difference would be in the playstyle, but its pretty minor i guess.

Discussion thread for "some interesting info around the world"

Still a nerf to Midway and a buff to Haku since your fighter planes will be slower now and that gives the Haku attack planes a better chance of attacking a teammate. -

I never understand why people like to go to D so much on North. For what purpose does it serve? Sure its a cap and a single ship that can cap it or just hold enemy off there is sufficient but 2 tier 9 BBs, a tier 9 CA and a tier 8 BB? Worse thing was a lone Baltimore holding them off over there for almost 7 minutes -
Like what everyone said being pink and chatban are 2 different things. Being pink for 35 games seem to indicate you're very prone to accidentally killing teammates since its accumulative. Even if you have't been pink for about 6 months that doesn't mean you get a clean record. Seems kinda tinfoil to link 35 games being pink and a chat ban together

HEPL! Mogami, the lovable scamp - Playing tips, if you have any?
pra3y replied to RAHJAILARI's topic in General Discussion
Hahahaha it still works for me though. I just built it up from there, applying stealth gameplay and map awareness into the mix. I guess for different people it works differently though it feels like a cheat skill to me when I play CAs. Think about it. It's the only skill that tells you exactly when you're getting shot at and how many people are shooting at you (as compared to PT which only tells you the number of people aiming at you). -

Well i grinded the mogami before they buffed the 155mm. Used the 203mm instead. I swear by IFA and map awareness. With both, playing cruisers don't feel bad. -
@avenger121 Oi avenger at least troll the right thread if you're gonna talk about your usual stuff. Its this one: Of all the juicy CV threads out on the main page these days you just have to pick the one comparing the tier 10 CVs. Disappointed

Well Im just pointing out the flaw in your understanding of how AA works. Stacking those planes will ensure more planes survive should you have to strike a target with decent AA. Its the same thing for your DBs. If you dont stack and then bomb that Montana, your DBs will be shredded. Ps: Note that I'm only talking about the effect of (stacking vs not stacking attack planes) vs ship AA.
-
I on the otherhand witnessed a miracle. Was playing my Midway on Mountain Range on Sunday and we lost the game because most of the team were too spread out and I had to focus on my fighters providing cover across the map and the enemy ships were stacked together so most strikes failed. Got blamed by a teammate for being a worse CV player than the enemy CV. I only had time to tell him to look at how many planes i shot down when the result screens are out. Karma went down by 1 btw. Shortly after i received a pm from the same player apologising for snapping and giving me a +1 back cause he realised by me shooting down 54 planes and making the enemy CV come bottom half of his team I had done my job, well at least part of it. Said the weekend was making him go nuts and he owes me another +1 the next time i meet him. #miracle

@KarmaQU_EU You do realise that when you stack planes together their survivability increases right? Rather than losing more planes, you will have more planes surviving. A Haku player for example who sends 1 tb squad at a Montana will lose all 12 of those TBs. On the reverse side a Haku player who stacks and attack the Montana with all 3 squads at the same time will at most lost half. The fact that AA has to deal with all 3 squad at the same time rather than 1 at a time. Given the AA level at tier 9 and 10 it would be better to start off with 3 stack strikes and then tone it to 2 later in the game when the aa on ships are broken so that you don't lose too many planes right off the bat.

The most BS citadel that made me ragesell the CM

I hope the guy rage sold his monarch as well -
In fact I would say even worse in terms of game balance cause at the very least AS Essex and Midway would require you to use those 2 DB very well to do decent damage. For AS Haku, its like the devs went, here go ruin the other CV's game and while you're at it go sink some ships as well. That's the problem with IJN loadouts. AS is AS up till the Taiho cause they balance the 3rd fighter out with only having 1 tb squad, making it AS centric. IJN strike are in fact the balanced loadout onstead of strike and stock/balanced is well just stock. That's my gripe with AS Haku, its not balanced. At the very least it should only get one tb and one 2 db (can't remember offhand if they have 2/3 db) Why give them a decent strike package when they're suppose to be AS? Is it really better? If that is the case then il upgrade my DB first then instead of getting the 2/3/3.
-
Pretty sure its you. IMO Haku's AS loadout is just as bad as an AS Essex or Midway (only 1 plane less then both) but benefits from better strike capability than them. WG should just remove it period.
