Well the Midway isn't exactly that bad , even with tier 8 tbs provided you pick your targets wisely. I feel more confident playing it as compared to my Haku tbh.

I guess wows is more of an unique genre in gaming? Its neither too face pace a game like all those fps but neither is it extremely slow paced either, somewhere in the middle. It is an arcade shooter but at the same time it requires strategy and tactics. So its not exactly an easy game to catch on. Tbh I wont be suprised if there arent that many new players because a key factor is that most of us in some form or another have some interest in naval ships or warfare. Ask a 16 year old who plays fps all day long to play this game and he may get bored pretty soon. On the other hand, this game is one of the better naval games out there in the market so unless something better comes out i really doubt people will leave the game in doves like a certain sci fi fps So anyone interested in the game are already playing it. Doubt you'll find huge influxes of new players unless you really overhaul this game into some fast pace mindless zombie shooting game. Perhaps a proper tutorial is in order but I really dont see that much of a problem in lower tier games. Heck I doubt all those people "bashing" the OP are doing it cause they see WG as a faultless company but rather they know how to differentiate when WG should be blamed for something and when it should not. OP's post is just a whine because the game is tough for him, not because he's really affected by those problem that you state. Say OP is right then what about what k82j said? He's a new player as well and he's ok with the game. Don't let your frustration cloud your judgement.

@cro_pwr Now that I've read some posts that I missed at pg 3, do you even know what kind of guy you're defending? You're telling me just because he's bad at this game at the start he's entitled to throw a hissy fit and claim that there needs to be a total revamp of the game so that he can do better while he's perfectly fine with another grindy game that I'm assuming he's good at? I mean come on dude look at this: Seriously I get that there are problems here and there but this?

I honestly can't see how all those are that major of a problem that warrants a person quiting the game at low tier or not recommending the game to someone else. At least for me, for all it's fault, the game is still pretty fun.

I feel that you're bound to meet more experienced players at any tiers . Some are grinding up new lines, some just enjoy playing low tier games only and shun mid to high tiers while others like you say seal club. Even if say WG extends protected MM to tier 5, then what about tier 6 and above? Will you again ask for better MM so that you don't face experienced players or people that "seal club" at tier 6 and 7 as well? It's a slippery slope. As for elitist I'll say just ignore them and just keep on playing. Its not worth it to you to be that bothered by them that you'll quit the game.

Once again, is that the same problem OP is actually facing? Because remember we're looking at it from his point of view, not yours. If you're gonna say we're wrong for dissing him, then it should be base on why all those things are a problem at the tier he plays, not the problem the game has in general which frankly affect lower tier gameplay the least.

Because all these problems appear at the tier OP plays? Low tier is too grindy, low tier has too many OP ships and low tier has bad mm? I may be wrong but you're mixing up what you see as a problem and what OP see as a problem. While the label is the same, the target is different. Obviously it's a major problem when the opposing side has an extra Isokaze right? Or when there are too many radar and hydro ships at tier 3 & 4 that MM has to be changed to balance it out so that both sides have an equal number of radar and hydro ships. And obviously Wyomings are doing too much damage shooting AP at poor Clemsons who take full damage. Don't just blindly white knight someone just because you feel the problem both of you face appear to be the same. It's not.

Contrary to popular beliefs, CVs don't play their own game while the rest of the team do their own things. Prioritising the enemy CV as your first target is a mistake because while it may or may not make your life easier after sinking the enemy CV, that is time wasted as cornflakes point out above. That 5 minutes can be better spent say killing the enemy DDs that are trying to cap or harrassing your friendly DD. Playing CV is not about just doing damage but who you're doing damage to.

This as well. OP if you're gonna complain about balancing issues and the whole shenanigans, you need to play more games and at higher tiers. Judging the game when you barely experienced it seems kinda premature.

Why so gloomy, its always a 50/50 thing. I have great streaks during weekend, bad streaks during weekend everything goes. If you keep on losing take a break, if not there isn't really much different whether its the weekend or not nowadays anyway.

Yeap this is exactly why your winrate in a CV will be bad. Only brain dead CV players will attempt to waste time sniping the opposing CV players. Good CV players don't waste time doing that but help scout and support friendly ships. Maybe change that style before complaining about your teammates since with the way you're describing it you aren't exactly much better than them.

Well its the lesser of the 2 evils. Waiting time is barely a game changing issue and the mental damage a tryhard division inflicts is lesser since now it only affects division. Is it perfect? No as you've pointed out there are issues there as well. But is it the best possible solution that is both implementable and fair to both sides of the fence? I would think so.

As i said in my other post, just make it so that MM makes CVs in divisions meet each other and not solo CV players. That way the 2 divisions can have all the fun in the world with each other while us scrubby play alone CV players play with the other loners.

So if you and 2 other super unicrum decide to play in a Haku and 2 minos div and im the solo CV facing you off its fair for me? I'll rather wait to be honest while you guys face off another haku and 2 minos div. Frankly those divisions are borderline bullying. It makes people not want to play CV rather than enjoying a good game of wits between 2 CV players. If that floats your boat fine but you can have your fun doing that with another div also doing that and cancel each other out.

@MrConway just wondering if you guys read this thread. Plenty of discussions and ideas with regard to CV gameplay by people who actually do play CVs.

They better makeup for the nerf. Obviously there will be differences in the strength and weaknesses of CVs from the 2 countries. Trying to have a hard balance just complicates the matter more I feel

Well with that kind of MM only the enemy CV can stop him. Almost a turkey shoot unless all those bb just cluster together. Not that I've watches the full video though.
