    Well, you're the one pulling his stats out aren't you? a) It his choice, like it or not. b) He's playing co-op, not random, so at least he has some sense in testing the waters first before playing the ship in a random battle. As for "Coop players invest the same time and money ( flags Cammo ) as random players", carry him then. You can't carry against bots? He can't play because he waste your time and money? Then I don't really want you playing the game as well since teaming up with you will probably make me lost the battle. Waste of my time and money.

    Well don't take it literally. Most players don't seem to even know that there is a fixed repair fee now and are still under the assumption that the less damage you take the less your repair cost will be, case in point the OP. So yeah.

    @MrConway @Crysantos Soooo seeing that OP didn't know about the changes to the economy system do you guys think that its a good time to introduce a tutorial to teach players the basics of the game? Otherwise most people wouldn't even know about certain game mechanics.
  8. More subtle I would say but given their recent politics, they're getting more aggressive, well the politicians at least, not so much the people in general.

    Well finally back. Its a 5s rendering delay, not 10 or longer :( Still feels long though IFA tells me that shots are incoming at 15:48, Yamato appears on the minimap. Hard to see on this screenshot but if you have a look at the replay you'll be able to see the shots coming from the "invisible" ship. Yamato fully appears at 15:43. Well if you know your history the Japanese don't hate the other asian countries; they see themselves as naturally superior, just like how the colonial powers saw themselves superior than the native population of the countries they colonised. Thats one of the reasons why the Japanese invaded all the other asian countries during ww2. So rather than hate they just make loads of pro Japanese propaganda. Heck the gate anime itself is an example of pro jap propaganda. Selfish foreign countries trying to get a slice of the gate, Japanese special forces eliminating a cia "dirty" team without them being able to do anything in return and the nice peaceful Japanese people who dont use force unless its the last resort. So yeah sure, tame, but definately filled with propaganda. Then again its not like you lived in a country where the Japanese army dragged away the males from your race, young and old and shot them for being "rebels" or "sabourters".

  13. Exactly. Thats why i try to control myself. Worse case il just report the player and leave it at that.... or whine on the forums No point getting too personal i guess.
  14. You can't really blame them for being a business. As long as its not as unreasonable as a certain american gaming company i guess its fine but they lost out long term players? Perhaps a tutoria for each class in the guise of a mini operation or something that everyone has to go through and give some upgrades/ship related signal flags as an incentive for completing the tutorial.

    So OP basically just want an upgrade that will give him 20% buff to credit income, available only for tier 8 and above ships and mounted in the 5th slot?
  16. I think the problem lies with the age group of the players being too varied. Since this is one of the few action-based naval games out there where you can actually play ships that took part in ww1 and 2, im pretty sure plenty of ship enthusiast of every conceviable age group plays it, not just people in their 20s ~ 30s. For all you know when you click battle for random, you could be in a team with 12 year old Sally and 89 year old grandpa Rob. That "bot" Shima that sails around the border could be Rob thinking thats the best way for him to play. The yolo rushing Montana could be Sally thinking that is how she should play the game. Its random, you never know. You could even be playing randoms with a guy whose country you've probably never heard of before and think that its in China. Thats why i feel in-game tutorials and news updates are needed because do you think those people will come to the forums or even vist the main site?

    Why do I need to read it for? Its not like I don't know anything about detection in the first place after these many battles. Note that im not complaining about a stealth firing Yamato. If that Yamato was behind a rock with no friendly ships or planes spotting then yeah I have nothing to say if 9 nippon grade shells smack me into oblivion. However, if everything comes into view almost instantly and I can literally see the shells leaving the Yamato before seeing the actually ship coming out of "stealth" a few secs later than normal how is it my rig's fault? All these felt pretty recent with WG's rendering tweaks. Well, talk is cheap. So give me about a week or 2 and I'll put up the replay and screenshot. Currently overseas and have no access to my files and the game. Sigh im missing out on alot of the freebies Apologies for the delayed reply.
  18. Well whenever I push a flank and get smacked by the enemy but manage to bail out without dying, I'll bail from that flank and just let all the teammate camping deal with the enemy. Why should I scout, screen or tank if my team on one flank refuses to push. And yes, against a few ships, not the entire enemy team. Im not that potato. I've said this before but i had a rank 1 player in a missouri (who may or may not be a unicrum play, can't remember) tell me to spot a cap that 3/4 of the enemy team were pushing (cause I scouted at the start of the game and told the team to just bail that cap and focus on the other 2) Said rank 1 game being a smart guy just stayed there and demanded spotting. In a game filled with tier 8 and 9 aa CAs and BBs he expects me to waste my fighters just so he can farm damage instead of playing more tactically. Lost an entire fighter squad that could have you know, stopped the enemy CV from attacking another friendly ship and getting blamed for it. Just because a unicrum asks you to do something doesnt mean its always right. Heck even Flamu makes questionable decisions sometimes. I remember watching a Flambass Yueyang replay where he was camping at the back in his Montana instead of pushing evening though there was only Flambass and a few other ships on that flank while his side had more ships.     What about the long range rendering issue i described? I can put up a replay and ss later when im home. Have to agree with OP that the rendering stuff is a recent issue. Never had them in the past.

    Out of curiousity how do you miss a "circle" drop. Shouldn't it be hard to miss as compared to USN's "oval" drop?

    My issue with rendering is more of the long distance kind. Im spotted by an enemy ship or say the enemy Yamato in my Moskava. Yamato dropped off detection for a few momment and then fires off a salvo at me. Both of us were in view range of each other, no island blocking our line of sight, I see his shells (tracer) coming from where his ship was last spotted and IFA tells me that i was shot at. The problem is even after shooting, it takes about 10s~15s for the Yamato to render. So instead of being able to return fire immediately and then angle and dodge the shells, I can only dodge. Feels like the Yamato gets a free pass on me without me paying it back

    Yeap i know. Thats why i wrote that 2nd last sentence. Plus OP was talking about his Tirp getting smacked by a Midway not Graf On the other hand if we look at this in general, those AP bombers from the Graf can be intercepted by enemy AA and fighters plus they have a finite reserve. So they're not really unstoppable monsters as they're perceived to be.
