Well I try not to get myself in situations where I get reported. Still get reported sometimes but I guess its usually for poor play or unsporting behavior rather than misbehavior in chat since up till now I've not been chat banned once, even if I'm abit naughty in chat at times Nothing vulgar though.

Yeah but communication helps greatly. The fact that you're somewhere in Europe (I'm assuming) and I'm in Asia, yet we're able to have this discussion to broaden our understanding shows that being able to communicate with one another is an advantage. Being able to communicate over TS or discord or some other communication program/tool boost the chance of having a better game compared to being limited to only a chat box. I think the problem lies with the fact that people will abuse the system. If people have the mentality of grinding rank more for the rewards than competition like what Profilus said, why will people not abuse any advantage they can get just so that they can get the rewards rank give them? But since WG is fine with it and alot of people seem to be supportive of stacking than WG might as well just allow people to division up in rank. Kinda pointless tbh to ban divisioning in rank because it's not "fair play", yet entirely fine with people stacking because there is nothing they can do about it as pointed by someone.

Well I don't feel that WG is that bad tbh as compared to some other game companies. I think one of the reason is the lack of interest. Alot more people would probably rather play Overwatch, Fortnight, CoD etc etc rather than sailing some WW2 ship in an arcade game. But that's a different topic altogether. Eh its this one:

How would you know who reported you in the first place though. For all you know you can be *edit talking and someone just reports you for it without saying so. So torp the whole team? But what happen if its actually someone in the previous game that reported you? How are you gonna torp them? So many questions Edit: On a side note do you guys from BAD encourage teamkilling?

Again it may or may not be be a miscommunication, but what is your aim of escalating everything on what is still a minor issue? Also not that I want to doubt OP but you seem to be putting alot of trust and faith on a person on the internet or heck even in life that you don't even know personally. To be fair, OP did state that he "admitted" in chat of stacking. He can be entirely innocent (Not gonna judge) but egging the other party is kinda asking for it didn't he. In my country there is a saying in the army "Kiang Tio Ho Mai Keh Kiang", which literally translates to "It's enough if you're smart, you don't need to pretend to be smart". He should have just kept quiet and all this probably would not have happened. Even when people tell me that they're gonna report me I just don't say anything in chat nowadays. That in itself is still an advantage isn't it. Its always easier to communicate via voice rather than typing in the midst of a battle and even better if the people you communicate with are used to each other. It may be a minor advantage, but still an advantage over a team that comprises only of strangers who have to try and work together in order to beat that other team that stacks. Yeah but that defeat the purpose of rank doesn't it? If WG truly encourages "premade" teams, why do they not allow people to division for rank, be it clans or friends? How is it fair or easy to work harder though? Pardon the analogy but its kinda like asking a squad of soldiers that just joined the army the day before to fight against a battle hardened squad of soldiers . The battle hardened squad will of course win almost all the time because they have spent more time working together, giving them an inherent advantage over the "newbie" squad. And this is just stacking with clan members or friends and ending up in the same team. If they end up in different teams, what makes you so sure they wouldn't give away positions, throw matches or let themselves be sank so that their clan mate/friend can keep a star? Granted it's a 50/50 thing but still.

To be honest I don't really understand why this is blowing up to the "end of the world" level kind of event. I mean sure there is a contradiction in the statements made by 2 different WG employees and understandably it should be clarified to prevent further confusion since it involves the banning of accounts. All that is needed is a clarification. It should only be blown up say if WG clarify their statement and said they will ban people for stacking in rank battle. Then by all means go all out. All this "blowing up" nonsense now and calling it the same level as the Graf Zeppelin or Christmas Convey is just an irresponsible behavior and overreaction. Also note that people not in clans play rank as well I think that its side tracking the real issue of fairness in a competitive mode. Are people/clan members ok with stacking in rank? Are you guys ok with having an unfair advantage over others because WG previously said that stacking is fine? Rank, while being a competitive random, is meant for random players to participate in a competitive environment which is why you can't division up in rank in the first place. Its meant for random players to work together, not working with people you know. If people are perfectly fine with abusing the system by stacking then I have nothing more to say.

Well with the tags its more obvious who is in a clan and what clan it is, therefore there is a clear "target". Sure you can do the same thing with your friends but if you guys don't say anything no one will know. Just because it has been happening doesn't mean it shouldn't be looked into. If clan stacking is ok then why not just remove the limit on divisions? Seems quite hypocritical that WG is ok with stacking but not ok with raising the 3 ship limit because a 6 ship division "affects the battle" or whatever reason they gave for it. Humans are inherently selfish anyway. I wouldn't be surprise if clans or group of friends or maybe even cheating syndicates (yes i know its a stretch but hey example) abuse the stacking process for their own ends, in this case for rank, to get to rank 1. ForlornSailor's post above is an example. I think there was also a Jingles WoT video a few years back where 2 member of the same clan in opposing team went to a corner of the map to shoot each other and bounce shells to complete a mission. You want to have fun in a clan sure, but it shouldn't come to a point where it affects the enjoyment of other players, especially in random or ranked. You and your clan mates want to have a 6 shima "super division" for the lols? Sure why not but bring that to your clan battle and not ruin someone else's game for your own fun and enjoyment. Even if its a coincidence, I don't think it should happen. WG should try to adjust the MM so that clan divisions don't meet, be it on the same team or opposing.

Unfortunately :( Mine didn't threaten to TK me but just kept on spamming in chat about me being a camper. Just me for some weird and unknown reason. I wasn't even in spawn or the map border area. I dropped a private message to his clan leader afterwards but the guy just ignored me so meh can't do anything. This game sometimes have too many crazy people I swear.

Well one can always hope. WG did re-release the containers for the campaigns. Maybe they might do something for those camos like putting it in the arsenal for coal or shop for real money. WG works in mysterious ways

I wanted that shark camo for the Worcester but was away for 10 days. You don't see me starting a thread complaining do you. Just accept that you made a mistake for forgetting and be done with it instead of whining like a EDIT. In any case, who knows, we might get the camos or the stuff again in the future ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
