  1. On the issue of perma spotting after the CV rework, I said this in another thread: Thinking about it earlier, while on the way home from work, if the whole problem of perma spotting is caused by having to make multiple attack runs, wouldn't it be easily solved by tweaking it so that CVs make only one attack run per flight but in exchange, have more planes in that attack run with slightly more health/resistance to balance against AA. In a way a mix of the old CVs and new CVs. For example, you launch your flight of 5 attack planes (instead of current 3) from your Midway, attack a target, and then return back to the CV. No more issue with being spotted any longer than what it would previously with the old model, unless the CV player wants to run circles around your ship. And while it beefs up the CVs attack power by abit, the CV will still be restricted by AA & fighters. Any thoughts?
  2. Playing both CV and DD, i would be pretty annoyed if a DD keeps on wriggling and make hard turns whenever im on an attack run and temporary give up attacking him I had a match in the Haku where 1 squad of attack planes lowered a Gearing to less than 1/4 health (pre-hotfix). The problem was that the Gearing kept on slowing down and sail straight with very minor direction change, making it very easy to adjust the aim of the attack planes. The attack circle takes time to get smaller for more accurate shots, so it will irritate the CV and lessen the damage taken.
  3. People need something to hate. CV fits the bill because its original playstyle was unique and came off as "unfair" to some people even if it wasn't if you knew what you were doing.
  4. Look its very easy to explain why the current iteration of CVs (CI CVs) spot more as compared to pre-rework CVs (PR CVs). With PR CVs, alot of the people playing them are either focused on dealing damage or just downright potato. They send out squads to attack a target or fly along the map border only. Once the attack is done they instantly send the squad back to the CV to rearm and continue farming or potatoing. Hence, they don't really spot anything and selfishly go about their own business. Only a very small group of PR CV players who are actually team players bother to scout/ spot for the team. With CI CVs, WG has made it so that a single squadron has to execute multiple attack runs in order to be "spent". So even if a CI CV player is unwilling to do so, they will always be spotting for the team cause there will always be planes spotting the ships in the area of the ship the CI CV player is attacking. That is why there is a sharp increase in spotting. WG whether knowingly or inadvertently created this problem, they will have to either sort it out or players will just have to learn to adapt to it. That's literally it.
  5. Why does it feel significantly slower compared to a pre-rework CV though?

May RNGesus forgive you and heal your blindness.

You don't count El2aZeR. We are but mere mortals unlike you

You have infinite planes with the rework, deal with it. *sarcasm*
  9. People who are against CVs usually dont listen to reason. They're like Trump, everything to them is fake news except their own agenda, even if it is a valid point. So you shouldn't bother arguing with them and just save your breath.
  10. What is there? The speed control? Cause like i said in the other thread my speed control disappear once i start using the planes. Pressing M to move the CV using way point doesnt show me any way to adjust my speed.
  11. I just wanna add what i wrote in another post on DD complaining about getting perma spotted since the rework, that CVs get spotted way more easily as well, so everyone is in the same boat. Its worse for CVs like the Midway since DDs are only spotted close to their AA range while CVs can be spotted by planes way beyond their AA range and cant do anything about it. And we all know what happens to a CV when is spotted WG also seem to have removed the speed control of CVs, but that is just my speculation.
  12. Don't worry, I'll go have a look tonight after work. The onus is not on you anyway. In any case WG convinently talked nothing about speed in their detailed article on the new CV. @MrConway can you clarify if CVs have control over their own speed or are purposely left to go at a certain speed? Is there a bug in the UI? Not that I want to doubt you guys but your article talks literally about everything on the new CV except controlling the speed of the CV.
  13. Same i placed the points on the map and went wtf why is my CV reversing as i got blapped.
  14. Doesnt work. My speed control literally disappear from the game once i start using my planes. When i press M to open the map i have control over the ship movement, but no control over its speed. So my Midway or Haku is literally going as fast as a Langley. If there is a way to control my CV speed after my planes are launched I have yet to see it. IMO WG should just give CV players proper manual control over their CVs. The stupid thing is while people complain about their DDs being perma spotted the same thing happen to CVs. Then everyone and their grandmother who is in range of you will start shooting at you, even if you're 18~20 km away. So that BS about deserving to be sunk if a DD breaches through yr line is just BS. The other CV can perma spot you as well without even getting into your AA range and you can't do much about it.
  15. I will have to try the F key thing but I have no control over the speed of my CV now. I know i can move my ship using M but i seemingly have no control over speed once i start using my planes.

70 air kills in a Repu...without AA build

Actually depending on the situation you would. Worse case your planes melt but you have a chance to get a drop off. But with the rework and hotfix its not even a chance anymore. The entire squad will not even melt away, they just instantly cease to exist as though they flew into the Bermuda triangle. Case in point, prior to the hotfix i had a game in the Yamato where just as the game started and the enemy cv planes flew within my AA, i saw that i shot down 7 planes instantly like i had landed 7 shells on a broadside target. Same thing happen while i was in my Monarch. Last night took my mino out for a spin and made whole squads disappear instantly. The funniest thing was me finding the enemy Haku and sailing broadside to it and lobbing shells at the poor sod while he tries to sink me. Every plane he sent at me just disappeared from existance the instant they got into my AA range. Mind you apart from having bft my mino isnt even AA build, no AA mod, aft or the new "manual" AA skill.
  17. So do all your targets make hard turns when you attack them? Or do they sail straight and let you carry out your attacks? The problem is alot of people assume all they have against CVs are their AA. You think you can reach those damage numbers if people actively try to avoid your attacks? You can't, because im actively minimizing the damage you are trying to deal to me and wasting your time. Sure you can keep on sending planes at me non-stop but at the cost of dealing more damage to other ships. Even Ichase's kamikaze spam attacks rely on human stupidity of sailing straight in order to be actually effective.
  18. It was sarcasm mate. OP seems to think that only AA can stop a CV from attacking you.
