I watched the start and its frankly disgusting. What kind of scumbag shoots a teammate for no reason without even any provocation and then proceed to report said teammate after being called an idiot for doing so? @MrConway or @Crysantos any way to enhance OP's punishment? The fact that OP thinks that it is no big deal and seemingly makes himself out to be a victim makes it worse.
-
I would think that they're bots but i had a few games where the "bots" didn't load in, which is a pretty unbotly behavior.
-
Wrong ship The 2nd ship is the kremlin. The 1st one which you're using is the bismark.
-
So which is more absurd? OP thinking that it is perfectly fine to do almost 10k team damage because he was bored or he thinks that he is actually angled?
-
Take it as karma for you being such a scumbag.
-
Appearently not his first topic on cheats. He previously accused the bots in co-op for cheating. Damm bots.

Learn to play issue. If anything you're a liability to your team. Before making wild accusations of cheating learn the game mechanics. You literally bought your way to tier 10 without an inkling of how the game works. Then instead of looking at yourself and figuring how you can improve or ask for advice you come to the forums to complain about "cheats". Also @MrConway and @Crysantos i know im beating a dead horse here and you guys have already given your view on it but OP is a fine example of why tutorials are needed. Guy buys ton of premium ships (mostly high tier ones), probably spent another ton of money on free exp, gets to tier 10, and complains about cheating.

WOW, never have I been so ashamed of a ship like Georgia. What a piece of ....

Then smoke up. Almost all DDs have smoke (note the almost). I've been in those situations. Even if the CV is determined to kill you, it'll take time. And him focusing you neans not focusing on the team. I'll give you another example. I've had games in BBs where the enemy CV would rather attack a CA next to me then me. Why? Cause i make myself such a biych of a target that its easier for him to go after the CA and try his luck rather than me. People have to remember thay CV planes vs ships is a 2 way interaction that involves more than just AA. I disagree with your spotting proposal. Though i will say that this people's issue of spotting currently is a result of the CV rework.

Tbh if im in a game with you and your "haha" isnt directed at me i would probably report you too. Poor snowflake you, can't deal with the consequences of your words/actions?
-
Learn to play. You don't even understand the game mechanic. It is so hilarious. You know if your AA is switched off in a DD, the CV planes have to literally fly directly over you in order to spot you? And because of that, they can't spot and attack you at the same time? You didn't right? Before you hate something do yourself a favor and educate yourself instead of being the village dunce.

I've looked for hours. Can't find Wally anywhere.

Doesn't have to be mandatory, making it attractive would be good enough.

It does have a bearing imo. At the end of the day i think no matter what the insults will be there but I believe that it will be minimal. The reason being the basic skill and knowledge of the average player base improving. People getting less frustrated would equal less insults. If you read the post that some forumites make on why they rage/insult their teammates, it is because of that precise lack of skill and knowledge. It is not a justification to hurl insults, but that doesn't tackle the root of the problem does it? Videos and articles may help, but how much? What if the player just wants to play? A tutorial scenario would be helpful in that case as it will be interactive , which makes it easier to learn because it involves the player doing a task to complete a checklist/criteria to complete the tutorial. It allows the player to jump right in rather than them leaving the game to read articles or watch videos. I don't doubt what you guys have done but I think it can be improved exponentially, especially when you guys know that the average player base is lacking in basic skill and knowledge and you guys have the capability to do something about it.

This. @MrConway @Crysantos Can't you guys feedback to the dev team and ask them to create a tutorial scenarios/campaign/something for the various classes of ships available. I mean if you guys know alot of the complaints people have are because they don't know the game mechanic, why don't you guys try and at least teach them. Do you want a doctor who learns from watching youtube videos treat you? The analogy is a bit off but you get the point. To me, alot of ppl's resentment to the CV change is because they don't know how to avoid attacks etc. Because no one taught them how to It can't be that difficult can it? And it'll benefit WG in the long term.
-
Its easy. It applies to every class tbh. Just look at the minimap. If you notice at the start, majority of the enemy ships decided to go to A, with that about 3/4 at C. Out of the 4, the shima was killed more or less right off the bat, leaving only 2 ships that were camped next to the island. If it were me i would have just pushed C, stay at distance and harass the BB and CA that were camping by the island. Only the BB could have 1 shot you and 1 BB is honestly not engh to put much pressure on a CA anyway. Again minimap. The 2 friendly BBs (especially that godawful bismark) would have never made it to the cap in time as compared to you. Even if you wanted to yolo rush the Republic, you showed it too much broadside. You probably should have used speed boost, bow towards the Republic, torp it and go in its opp direction away from itbwhile HE spamming him (if you can picture it)
-
1) You were too passive at the start, especially on a flank where you overwhelmingly outnumber the enemy team. Kinda wasted opportunity. 2) That part where you were between A and B, you should have known you cannot shoot over the island, yet you spent a couple of minutes there abusing the island with your shells. Better off either following the Conq and Yamato and sail towards A or just make a quick turn back to C instead of that reversing thing. 3) The reason why you were reported was because you decided to yolo rush the Republic, which you would not have been able to kill even if you got your torps off. Would have been better if you stuck at range and make use of the long range afforded to French CAs and HE spam that Republic while sailing towards B and try to cap it as you were the fastest ship left. If you were afraid of the Soyuz, then ask the CV to scout first before popping into B. Basically you played too safe when you could have played aggressively and too aggressive when you should have played safe Also, remember points win the game, especially in domination. You dying=lost points. You not capping or at least stall the enemy cap points=more points for the enemy.

Is this how CVs are intended to be "balanced"?

We all know that you're more likely to be sunk showing broadside than running away -

Thanks Nah, to me there isn't really much difference on the difficulty level, just a difference in the style? I remember a game in the St Louis (French) and a Midway torped me. I thought I was a goner and took 1 torp. Then I look at the damage done by said torp and almost laugh myself off the chair. Just pitiful really. But if it was the old Midway I might as well kiss my butt goodbye. Its just how you look at it and deal with it at the end of the day. Honestly to me I can deal with the the current CV meta so I don't have that much issues about it except that I miss the old "RTS" style gameplay and don't really fancy the new "action" style gameplay. I just play other ships then. Right now Im having a blast with Worcester. I mean just look at that DPM. I may or may not get that new dutch DD. Dakka dakka ftw. -

See people don't understand. I never said you can't torp or shoot. If there are no CV planes near you (eg; enemy CV is attacking the other flank) then by all means do whatever you want. Shoot your guns, shoot your torps. But if the enemy CV squad is close by then obviously you shouldn't do all that should you? Below is a closed post i made with screenshots and replay . My point is if you say that the "passive" playstyle will prevent you from doing anything, why is it I still manage to do what I did? If you're in a Worchester and 5km away from a Yamato, do you sail away from it and get back into stealth or do you show full broadside and go pew pew pew just because it would be more fun? I mean there is always someone not having fun in the game. The guy you detonated, do you think he is having fun? The guy you dev strike, do you thing he is having fun? The guy you're HE spamming. Do you think he is having fun? As clique as it is, one person's fun is another's misery. -

Its not impossible by design because people don't take advantage of the designs put in place. An example, using DDs. WG reduced the detectability of DD air spotting range. If a DD doesn't turn on its AA, it will never be spotted by the CV planes until it flies almost over it or the DD shoot its guns, increasing its spotting range. Why do CVs drop fighters over DD? First, is to keep it spotted. Second, in order to attack the DD, the CV has to go into an attack run that takes it out of the DD air spotting range. So the squad making the attacking cannot spot the DD by itself and require either a 3rd party to spot the DD or the DD itself to make a "mistake" and cause its detectability to increase. A 3rd option, if the CV player is good enough, is to make a blind attack prediction and hope for the best but that is kind of beside the point. So short of the DD making a mistake, it is difficult for the CV to spot and attack the DD at the same time. Even then you also have the option to smoke or dodge. So a DD may not necessary have good AA to fight of an enemy CV attack, but it has a "passive" ability to do so. You then adapt your DD playstyle around it. Its then no longer, "how much AA can my puny AA guns shoot down" but "how can I make it so that the enemy CV has to waste time and effort to spot me and sink me". Unfortunately, base on what I've seen on the forums, people usually focus too much on what aspect and not the other. That is why they find it so difficult to play against a CV. You forgot i'm an old CV player as well I'm not good with the new ones and I don't really enjoy the gameplay style so I don't really play them However I just exploit whatever loopholes i can find when playing against CVs, like what I said above, be it in the old meta or new meta. There are always ways to "exploit" against CV attacks. It just involves some thinking and effort. -

I honestly have no idea why people find it impossible to play against CVs. Its not even that hard IMO. I've been playing mostly non-CVs since the re-work and I never had a problem playing against them, be it in a DD, CA or BB. All it takes is just some effort and thinking to deal with the CVs when you're in a game that has one. edit: typo
