Indeed, there are games where I probably out-tanked the BBs on my team. I think its always interesting to explore the possibilities of what a ship can do.

My play style for it is a hybrid of smoke and gun-boating. I sometimes gunboat so much I forget that I have smoke in the first place. So I would say that yes playing Smolensk can be quite exciting for me, especially when I end up usually having 1+ million potential damage.

It is kind of a different form of playstyle? You can't play it as a brawler nor some heavy punching range BB. Its kinda more like playing a Zao in a sense. You have high HE alpha, so u go about smacking enemy ships with yr HE and drop in and out of detection relying on island cover and yr very good stealth. You can tank some damage with yr super heal but not excessively so you shouldn't think that you can go full yolo. Monarch, Lion and Conq play roughly the same imo so if you don't enjoy the Lion you may not enjoy the conq. My Lion stats out of 66 games compared to the server average: Easy plane kills

FDG doesnt have super heal or cruiser level detectability. FDG can also be citadelled more easily from a longer range. The "citadel immunity" only applies to close range engagement due to the turtleback armour.

They didn't really need the booster if they had tried harder grinding but ah well <shrugs> -
But the fact is the button does not work/does not exist if you don't log in. The fact that you have to log in first before being able to properly activate the button is in itself a form of safeguard already IMO. . If you want to read the article talking about the event, it does not require or force you to log in to do so. You have to make an active effort to log in first before you can "opt in" into this event. So any of the mistakes you mention can be prevented simply by not logging in. Take me for an example, I see that there is an event for the anime ship captain. I look at the article, decide that I'm interested. I then log in and click on the "join event" button. If I'm not logged in and just click the button, I will be prompted to log in before I can proceed. Personally I don't think that it's a "gotcha" moment, because it is already clear enough already what the button is for. If you don't read carefully then yes, it is your mistake. I mean look at this for another example: are you telling me that a person will not know that if they click a big orange button that says "I Want to Join", they will be joining the High School Fleet collection event? Does "I Want to Join" means click here for more information? And just to show, if i click it while I'm not logged in then this will appear: So while I may agree that UIs should be designed to be user friendly, I don't think that in this case the UI is really that bad.

Why would you click on a button that: a) solely exist on a page that is specifically on transferring account between servers; and b) literally say "Transfer my Account" and expect otherwise? Also, why would you even need a confirmation question? You don't even need to log in to be able to read the game news on the WG site and only when you log in will you be able to click on that button, just like the other voluntary in-game events by WG. If people are dumb enough to log in and click on "Transfer my Account" for whatever reason except for actually wanting to transfer their account, then it is no one else fault except there own for having an itchy finger.

Challenge accepted Maybe an NC? Or Amagi as well cause of the torp belt. I remember I had a pre-rework game where a tier 10 or 9 CV mass torped me but I was barely damaged. Dodged most of them and those that hit was minimized by the belt, if that is how it works

Having looked at the website regarding the transfer, I suspect that you may have either accidentally or drunkenly clicked on the transfer button and therefore WG transferred your account? https://worldofwarships.eu/en/content/server-2-server/ But yeah, just contact customer support of NA and EU cause: NOTE: If you change your mind about the transfer, you can reach out to your region’s Customer Service within 30 days of the transfer and explain your situation in order to have the transfer reverted. Keep in mind that purchases and progress made on the new server will be lost when the account reverts back.

I can't answer for others but for me yes I would say I'll have the upper hand in a BB against a CV in a 1 v 1 fight.

To me at least, a CV can be countered like any other class, so it really just depend on the driver. The answer is we'll have one less 1000HP Porsche and Soccermum van as they fall off the road. But it does doesn't it? Because if it was a BB then it would have been spotted and then sunk. The fact that it has better stealth as a DD than other class is in itself a superior attribute no? How do you even get a credit-deficit in a BB regardless of tier But yeah man the credit deficit of a tier 10 CV is nothing to scoff at

I guess play more games first before making the decision that it hasn't improve? It could just be RNG playing around with you again. Just because they buff the dispersion doesn't automatically mean you'll immediately land Yamato level dispersion.

BBs? High alpha, decent accuracy, long range, heavy armour, high health, heals and depending on the ship good stealth. They also have way better AA than classes which are suppose to have better AA than them and can literally tank anything. Why do so many potatos play BB? Because it literally requires no skill for you to be able to stay alive so long in the game and still be able to deal damage. Tried but bad at them plus yes, I don't like the playstyle although I did try in training mode and CO-OP. So to save everyone from the misery I don't really play them as often as I use too.

Had a game last week where we had a Khaba, a shima and a Worchester remaining and the enemy only had a Z-25 in domination on Desert. Guess who won? The enemy. Why? a) They had the points advantage. Buuuuuuuut if we could have killed that last Z-25, we would have won, however it leads to the next one; b) The Z-25 used stealth to his advantage and ran away without doing anything else. Plus its also the potential to kill those 2-3 enemy ships that are spread out aint it? If you can't then you still lose.

I mean for me I accept that when playing my BBs, not all my shots will hit the target or even if they do, deal the damage I expect. That's all part of the BB gameplay. In return I have the chance to one-shot anything with my guns, have good armour and health. Doesn't matter if I miss at 1km or 20km. I've had games where in Colorado (pre-buff) I hit a DD 16+km away, in the NC, citadelled another NC behind an island at 20km away and recently in Yamato one shot a Des Moine bow tanking towards me at about 16km and hugging an island . You win some and you lose some is what im saying when playing BBs

Then shouldn't it be the case that it has the potential to be powerful, but not overpowered, or at the very least, the potential to be overpowered, since at the end of the day it is still dependent on the player.

I think the reason is because WG forgot to patch your aiming skills, hence you're still missing.

If you have a game with no CVs, then wouldn't DDs be the OP class in the last stage of the round due to their stealth, making them as you put it, OP as . Tbh all this thing about one class being more OP is just BS. Each class has their own capabilities, some stronger and some weaker. It is up to the player to maximise the potential of that class. Just because the very good players play well in that class means that class is OP. I mean ppl say the rework CVs are OP but just look at my stats in them and tell me how OP they are. If they are really OP why are my stats not reflecting that? Even if i play poorly shouldn't i have unicrum stats base on you guy's logic that CVs are OP?

If you post the replay here or send me a pm with it i can have a look. But like i mentioned in my earlier reply, if you have any friendly in front of you, then don't torp unless you're willing to accept being pink. You are the one launching the torps, not them. How would they know that you are going to launch torps in the first place. The responsibility therefore lies with you to ensure that you don't have any allies in your field of fire or will potentially enter that field of fire. -

Basically this: If there are friendly ships close and forward to you, do not torp (unless you can accept the risk of hitting a teammate). You may have a clear shot and think you teammate will not move into the path of your torps but sometimes they may have to move into the path to avoid say a broadside from an enemy BB and in the heat of the moment they will not have time to check or know if you've launched torps or will launch torps. -

Nah we had a discussion on whether he wanted to be a roasted potato or not and he declined. But by then he was left with only a few thousand HP and died shortly after. We had a nice chat after. One of those rare players who are good tempered and also know what they are doing. I complimented him as well.
