What's wrong with smoke firing? It's actually a quite risky move in most cases.

I found both the Kiev and Tashkent pretty meh, nothing too special, but I'm liking the Udaloi a lot more, even if it's stock with only the FCS. Something about it clicks, though I guess it's pretty similar to Kiev (with better torps.) The faster reload due to the upgrade and BFT since 5.9 dropped are a welcome addition as well.

Battle starts before all players ready

I was agreeing with this topic until That makes no sense OP, since you wouldn't be able to play tier 5+ destroyers yourself. -
He's actualy in a Budyonny and a friendly Nagato has pushed him underwater.

First of all, caps and base defends award a lot of exp. Also, it depends what type of ships you damaged in each game. Since exp depends on the percentage rather than the total amount of damage you did, hitting and sinking 1 destroyer with 10k damage is actually better than doing 40k out of the 66k of NC's hitpoints.

I saw you rushing down B in Islands of Ice in an Ibuki vs a Des Moines and my Udaloi, dying in the first 5 mins. Maybe that affects things? And no, it wasn't the Ibuki that "sucked" as you tried to claim.

There IS supposed to be quite a difference in power between a tier 6 and tier 8 ship right? I mean, if higher tiers didn't get stronger, what would the point of getting them be? Just like you (used to) be able to brutally murder Myogis in your New Mexico, you sometimes get brutally murdered yourself, unless you are smart about it. When confronted with higher tiers, be smart, and don't expect to win in a fair 1v1 fight, especially with battleships.

But you have to specify what mode we are talking about. In ranked and TBs, ship classes have distinct roles. There, SE is absolutely mandatory. In randoms though, I don't think it matters much. Some of the witherers I have have come from the Gearing + DE.

I'd say go ahead and get all lines up to tiers 6-7, without premium. I started buying premium when I decided "yes, I want to move further, I like this game" (I was also fascinated because it was online ship action like Navyfield, mixed with Battlestation's 3D graphics and style). Tiers 8,9 and 10 can get quite grindy, and I can't imagine how long it would take to grind 9 without premium. Also, as you said, credits are the main limiting factor on top tiers. While the exp is indeed a lot, you will be barely earning any credits, while the ships and upgrades get more and more expensive. Buying and fully upgrading a tier 9 ship is actually more costly than buying a tier 10 one. Keep some tier 5-6 ships for credit grinding, or buy premiums tiers 5-8. Tier 5 premium for a start, the tier 8 after you have reached it in a normal tech tree and have more experience.

There was 1 that happened on the NA server, that's the only 1 I know of.

Demolition expert is what (almost) everyone runs on IJN cruisers. AFT doesn't work very well as they don't have very good AA, and Survivability expert is only really useful on DDs.
-
It will be about the same as with Warspite. The lines are sure to come in the future (both MN and RN), and we get a premium to prepare captains and get a sneak preview of what's to come.

The only person who "laughs" at the french jokes is the person who makes them, because of the ensuing chaos. It should count as blatant trolling.

You probably spent those 3 hours trying to come up with your next troll thread, and the result was this...

This has been bugging me for a while, so please, correct me if I'm wrong. I don't remember getting to play any of the RU DD/CA or KM CAs in PTs before they were released. Were they released without us getting to try them out or do I just not remember it? -
You actually have ignored everyone's reasoning, and it's not hard to see why after reading your signature. I'll be seeing you on the RN Fanboy Rage threads when the tree is announced mate.

Avoiding the 2nd sentence of my post is clever. Shows you have no arguments to support the opposite, meaning, that gun caliber is all that should matter when balancing ships. Also, if you knew anything about what's going on, a ship with nine 11 inch guns is about to be released at tier 7. And you think a ship with ten 14 inch guns can't be at tier 8? You are delusional, at best.
-
Congratulations on missing the entire point of my post. Carry on.
-
So by your logic, if they made a completely imaginary ship with Yamato's armor and hitpoints, but 12 inch guns at tier 5 it would be fine because, hey, the guns are 12". Gun caliber isn't everything.

I had 1 of my best (for the time) Colorado games back when it was +3, in a T10 game. I could just keep hitting them while they ignored me and showed me their broadside, Montana, NC, Izumo. It was glorious!
-
Well, those are pretty low tiers. The sad thing is when the teams are like that at tier8+. For all we know, those people on your team could all have less than 100 games.

He doesn't need to step up his game, because he is already at a pro level, I assume

An invisible cruiser slams your side for 20k damage (you can't possibly angle vs the first shot), just shrug it off! Pray it's not a Des moines and wait till you either make it out at half the HP you had or die helplessly. Not that OP.

What's with the 88k HP on the T10? That's almost 10k less than the Yamato. -
Cyclones ruin the game if your positioning is bad. If you are staying 20 kms away from the enemy, then of course when the cyclone hits it will take a while to find anyone. Same goes if you are at the very edges of the map. Also, I feel destroyers don't benefit from cyclones as much as people make them out to be. Many times they themselves are surprised by the enemy and died almost instantly if they encounter 2 ships. They can't just drop torps from a range no one has a chance to spot them at.
