Mein WG Stream USS ESSEX Bausatz Gewinn oder Ernsthaft WG?!
Earl_of_Northesk replied to GERFighter87's topic in Die Messe (Offtopic)
Inklusive Yamato.

Dear WG, please make the following matchmaking impossible
Earl_of_Northesk replied to Arctic_Nation's topic in General Discussion
Do you really assume the three guys in your team just threw the match and actively wanted to lose? Adorable. Nothing more satisfying than to overcome unfavourable odds, nothing better than to beat your clanmates. That this absolute non issue is raised again and again... -
Discussion thread for "some interesting info around the world"
Earl_of_Northesk replied to Deamon93's topic in General Discussion
The thing is that this is historic. The German navy didn't give it's DD's names. -
Currently equipped on my British cruiser to abuse their concealment better and get warned when somethings about to torp my smoke. Not on anything else currently as long as it keeps being a skill you encounter only rarely. That would immediately shift if the meta should shift, as RDF really is the only counter to RDF.

Belfast is "slightly" overpowered?

IJN DD split is fixed again, so is the API. Data should be uncorupted again. -
Belfast is "slightly" overpowered?

Officially yes, but they still have new years eve at the gregorian 31st of December. -

Also, stop acting like I ever educated for Schors to get a heavy nerf. I said its strong and one or two nerfs wouldn't really hurt it, a slight RoF and AA adjustment, just to pick two random examples. It would still perform up to par with its peers. -
Belfast is "slightly" overpowered?
Earl_of_Northesk replied to Mech1975's topic in General Discussion
Oh my....Grem is only more desired because its harder to obtain, period. Also, those dev statements always apply for all servers (except the Chinese one). Last but not least, we never had a "official" announcement on EU that Gremy or Imperator would never besold again, WGEU just kinda acknowledged the fact over time after WGRU mentioned it. But you are obviously not around long enough to remember such things. And as I said, maplesyrup is largely useless these days. It always was heavily flawed. It uses a crawler going through profiles, returning zero values for hidden profiles. Also, no progression can be seen, as there is a different sample (of players) collected every week. Thus, this method is unable to track trends while not also using any method preselect to get a proper represantative sample. Going back to statistics, most scientist would argue such a way of gathering data is without any value. You can get a very broad picture from it but you should not make any specific conclusions. Just something for you to think about. You most likely didn't even know the site before it was mentioned here. Even warships.today, only displaying games from players fed into its database, is more reliable. -
Belfast is "slightly" overpowered?
Earl_of_Northesk replied to Mech1975's topic in General Discussion
The last 2 weeks option is heavily skewed on warships.today, but still, the actual winrate there is 49,94 percent, on par with Myoko and only lower then Fiji, while still dealing way more damage then Myoko. And it was stated that the new years sale was the last one, ours was maybe a bit later, doesn't matter. Ship won't be sold again. -

Earl_of_Northesk replied to Mech1975's topic in General Discussion
Belfast has a normal length citadel which doesn't extend above the water line and has got the best citadel armour at her tier. You are wrong here. Also, while your winrate got carried hard in recent days, your performance is still worse than his and you are playing at a significantly lower tier. Sorry to break it to you, but your stats are really nothing to write home about. Slightly above average, but nothing to be especially proud of. -

Winrate 49%? In which world? You are so ignorant, it hurts. You behave like Kellyanne Conway. You are constantly proven wrong and everytime, you just open up the next front as your lack of understanding becomes apparent. Also, new years cycle =/= new year. -

Average Joe was there before that and maplesyrup is extremely flawed since people can hide their profiles. -

Earl_of_Northesk replied to Mech1975's topic in General Discussion
God, you are annyoing. I don't care about some low tier whiners, I ignore such threads. I only participate in serious discussions and always refrain from any balance discussions until a line is established. There was also a lot of "German BB's will be terrible"-whines before the line got released because of their lack of main battery firepower. Equally stupid. Anyway, both Belfast and the British line are well established at this point. And no, like someone already mentioned, that does not mean that sales will end before the new year, but that the new years sale is the last chance to get the ships and that all sales will be discontinued afterwards... And no, Schtors is not OP. But it's clear it's an exceptionally strong ships and a nerf or two wouldn't hurt. -

Earl_of_Northesk replied to Mech1975's topic in General Discussion
Maplesyrup is actually pretty unaccurate. It's just easier to compare weekly stats there which adds some value. Also, it has less problems with players hiding their stats and making them public again regularly, because those will make the game-timestamps dissappear on warshipstoday, which always inflates the stats for the last 2 weeks. -

Earl_of_Northesk replied to Mech1975's topic in General Discussion
Or at least properly: "Sales EM Kamikaze run in the previous timeline (the New Year). " This clearly says the last sale was the last chance to get the ship. More than Belfast? Surely not. And nobody ever talked about an OP Bayern or König, there was never a serious discussion. People still talk about Bismarck though, which also just recently received a nerf. And just because Fiji is even better, or, well, OP, that doesn't mean that Schtors didn't mean a serious powercreep as well. You are heavily out of your depths in this discussion. -

Kamikaze was also announced to never be sold again after the last sale, maybe you should read the dev statements more regularly. -

Earl_of_Northesk replied to Mech1975's topic in General Discussion
This is not a release squeak, those die down within 2 weeks...the ship has been around for 6 months. And yes, at the moment T7 is the height of the British wave. Which just proves that the "it's the elite and better players which reach the ship first and push her stats" isn't true for her anymore. She is just extremely strong. Just as Belfast. I realise you want to protect your pet, I realise you want to believe it's actually you being good when playing that ship...the thing is, it's not. It's the ship severely improving your abilities because of its raw performance. -

In you case, sorry, yes. You seem to lack basic understanding of game mechanics which is of course a problem. It's like having an 18 year old who just got his license making judgements about the track performance of a racing car. -

Earl_of_Northesk replied to Mech1975's topic in General Discussion
For Arizona it was always the fact she is 1. the better ship, because she is significantly more accurate and 2. people slapping high tier captains on that ship which nobody usually has on New Mexico. Just another one not understanding how to interpret statistics. Also, just by the raw stats of the ship, e.g. DPM, RoF, concealment etc she would be an excellent T8 cruiser, let alone a T7 one... -
Belfast is "slightly" overpowered?
Earl_of_Northesk replied to Mech1975's topic in General Discussion
What? Sorry, but this always worked both ways. Of course potatoes will always cry about something being OP, but they also always tried to save the few ships from nerfs in which they actually felt like having an impact. Those mostly being the OP ones. Just like in this case, where the people claiming she is fine are way worse players than the ones claiming it's OP. But hey, please try to explain how I am a bad player.... -
Belfast is "slightly" overpowered?
Earl_of_Northesk replied to Mech1975's topic in General Discussion
Nobody claimed those are not OP. They are. Fujin, currently, probably even more then Gremyashi. People want Gremyashi more because it's rarer. The Type 59 of WoWs. Fiji is probably OP as well btw. Your ignorance is both baffling and tiresome. -

It's like saying Bismarck is situational because it struggles to hit things at 20km+ range... -
Belfast is "slightly" overpowered?
Earl_of_Northesk replied to Mech1975's topic in General Discussion
No, it means both Kamikaze and Gremyashi are OP But Gremyashi seriously probably isn't as OP as people think, but that's something I've said for a loooong time.
