Guns, spotting ranges etc.: the new Russian and new German destroyers

+4%-Streuung-Tarnung fehlerhaft (oder zuviel gespielt)?
Earl_of_Northesk replied to DeletedUser's topic in Feedback Archiv
Keine Ahnung was euer Problem ist. -

Discussion thread for "some interesting info around the world"
Earl_of_Northesk replied to Deamon93's topic in General Discussion
Oh, sealclubbing at low tiers is a problem. But it's not just carriers, it's all classes. It's just more visible when it's done by a CV because you can much more easily see something competent is sailing that ship, while you surely can't keep track of every salvo fired by any othe ship in the game. And the solution is frankly terrible. There is a reason we have strafes in the game, to even out the playing field between IJN and USN CV's and also to kill the effect of just "locking" fighters when you have superior numbers of fighter squadrons so you can get your attacks through for free. Removing them will just mean getting back all the problems we had before. Also, you are the perfect example of someone who has never played a CV. Unlimited range? Yes, but it's also like having a battleship which can only fire every 3 minutes. They can attack their prey from every angle? Sure, try maneuvering too much and get all you planes killed Not to mention that carriers are the only class which can get its attack denied by some magical button called defensive AA. Imagine firing in your Battleship at a perfect broadside and someone near that target presses T, just negating all the damage. Also, imagine your battleship could run out of ammunition. Because a carrier can. Funniest part of your uniformed wall of text is the part in which "the only way to evade a dive bomber attack is to shoot them down". 1.: Well you can shoot them down. You can't shoot down shells. 2.: RNG plays a big role and a good attack is far harder than you can imagine. As for your first two points, DD's can spot torpedos as well and also, CV's are mirror matched, so both teams have the same advantage. To conclude: try playing a carrier and come back then. I'm perfectly fine to admit that CV's have their own problems, most noticeably that the way the MM works differences in skill between the two carriers can make a huge difference. But as long as you don't completely dumb down the game or remove all strike setups, it will always be that way. -

His argument doesn't stand. It's a terrible one. A CV needs to do more damage then most (if not all ships) because he's useless if he doesn't: He can't cap, he can't tank damage. His influence on the match is dtermined by only 3 factors, way, way less than any other class: negating the enemy CV, spotting and dealing damage. -

Wird man doch gezwungen geld auszugeben ?
Earl_of_Northesk replied to Zebrafink68's topic in Allgemeine Diskussionen
Also spar dir diesbezügliche Anschuldigungen. -
Matchmaking, Ranked and Stats - WG .. seriously?
Earl_of_Northesk replied to xsmilingbanditx's topic in Archive
You could also use a proper setup, have just as much air control while being able to reliably take out DD's and damage BB's as well. There's nothing defending an AS setup in ranked. -

The Under-performance of KM Armor Piercing
Earl_of_Northesk replied to dasCKD's topic in General Discussion
They still have more penetration. Penetration isn't just shell weight and velocity, but also Krupp, drag etc. We can assume the chart is correct and German DD's have significantly higher pen than the USN DD's at range. Still won't make me play that piece of ... that is T-22. -

Earl_of_Northesk replied to xsmilingbanditx's topic in Archive
Well there is already a skillcap in ranked. The ranks. If you progress out of the scrub levels, you won't see scrubs. There are probably just as many in the enemy team as in yours goven enough time, so just play your game. If you don't progress faster, its probably because you are not good enough to progress faster. That's the nature of ranked. -

Earl_of_Northesk replied to HipHopHippopotamus's topic in General Discussion
For the first incident, yes, it's shitty. Had it in my Iowa a few weeks ago, ost me the match. But there is a solution to this (which unfortunately didn't work in my case as I just got stuck again): use the autopilot. Set it to steer you somewhere. By some magic, it will release you. For the Kutuzov, well, good teamwork. Probably a british cruiser or a USN DD constantly giving him smoke when his ran out. -

Japanische Zerstörer - zu schwer zu spielen geworden?
Earl_of_Northesk replied to BonaXJ6's topic in Allgemeine Diskussionen

Earl_of_Northesk replied to BonaXJ6's topic in Allgemeine Diskussionen
Was die Zerstörer angeht: Erfahrung.

Met txtspeak two days ago while he was in his Des Moines, I was in a Montana. Sadly, he was the only ship we lost this game By the way mate, there was a Kagero maybe 200m outside of your radar range which spotted you. That was thoroughly bad luck. Same day, met Takeda92 on Islands of ice. Their team just crushed mine, think I was in Yugumo. Terrible game were way too many ships went to A and did nothing. -
Fake chat bans have to be fixed
Earl_of_Northesk replied to ProfessorXXXX's topic in General Discussion
You are not necessarily right here. Nobody knows how the system works and there might well be a buffer. But the problem is, with how the system currently works, people figured out "misbehaviour in chat" is the only thing to actually do something. My last chatban occured when I sank a Yamato in my Essex (with my second strike on him) and wrote in chat "Given enough time, even a Yamato goes down eventually " Yeah, you might argue I shouldn't have done that, but it was meant as banter. Certainly reflecting the fact that I put unjustified and potentially harming (for my teams chances) effort into sinking him. He replied with some unfriendly words, I wanted to tell him to calm down and enjoy his day, couldn't: already chatbanned. Looking after battle both he and his division mate reported me 7 times. That is, frankly, [edited]. There is still a thread on reddit somewhere where, when I tested the Z-46 back in the day, a Minotaur just yolo'd into me to kill me. He killed me, got instantly killed in return. Told him in chat such things are pretty stupid, as it's useless for me testing and useless for his game. He proudly made that thread on reddit and uploaded a screenshot showing how he had reported me for misbehaviour in chat 7 times. The whole system needs a rework. Karma does nothing, so there's no incentive for people to play for it (or GIVING it in the first place. How often do youget a upvote? I bet 98% of people never use up their 7 daily upvotes). Reports largely do nothing, apart from misbehaviour in chat, which results in heavy abuse.- 45 replies

Sorry to break it to you, but the commata is there for a reason. AFT and BFT affect all secondary guns regardless of calibre.
