I think so, and as a DD hunter myself I think it works well.

No you read it wrong. If you designate a target you will do more DPM than if you do not. I have used this skill on the PT and that's how it works your guns open up on targets designated or not.

Just keep away from the umbrellas and you will be just fine........

What size of ship would you need to launch a 500 ton corvette 500 being the minimum it could be up to 2,000 tons. You would need a ship bigger than a CV to do that.

Your not a sailor are you station holding is a thing in the game you don't have to mess about with the engine controls to do it. If you had wave effect like that in the game then it would also have to have some effect on the gun aiming on all ships, or you would have the DD captains doing this and this all day and we don't want that. Lets see how we get on with the weather and its effects on the game before we start talking about sea states and tides.......

When? Not in the next patch I am on the PT server and no weather to be seen............... Just seen the WG video 2016 but we have no idea how that will work if at all

You can run your ship aground and it will not sink. But run aground or not it can still be set on fire or just blown to bits. A ship was never run aground in war to save the ship but to save the crew the ship is lost. Do you run aground a lot if so try looking around a bit more and get that tunnel vision under control. I like most will have had to learn this lesson the hard way....
