    on public yes. they come in all different flavors. rage kiddies, kiddies that think they know tactics, general stupid kiddies and kiddies that dont know how to STFU. after few rounds you find options(cause you were too lazy before) nad just mute every voice ingame and that is that.

    tip i most usually give.. dont show broadside. 99% ppl dont listen, cause it is more important to have all guns pointed at enemy than stay alive.

    if you ever watch average 50% player you will see how much skill he has. while he is 5 on scale of skills compared to other players, he is 3-4 on absolute scale of skills. i will use example from my university days. for few years we used gaussian(20% 30% 30% 20% IIRC or maybe it was 15 35 35 15) distribution of grades, so on one exam lots of ppl got 50/100 points, so you needed 50 points for passing grade of 2, if you had 50.5 points you got 3, 55 points you got 4 and 65 points for 5. before we used absolute scale for grading, so 50-60 points was 2, 61-75 was 3, 76-89 was 4 and 90+ was 5. just cause someone is "average" compared to others and got 3 or 4 doesnt mean he had knowledge and mastery for that grade. same is here with player skill.

    like i said that graph isnt good example, just something i googled fast to use it to illustrate where most average players skill lie (with 2 graphs as example). i agree that it isnt accurate representation cause it doesnt include second and third group inside second graph.

    well with 2 full caps and this damage i got 2969 base xp. if i didnt cap and only did this damage i would end up below 2k base xp. cause i only did damage to less than 2 full hp ships. with dd you can afford to be under average in damage performance compared to team (i am talking about damage in % of ship hp, so dont make difference about absolute number) and still end up first on charts cause cap xp will give me the edge. with anything else i have to be way above average in damage performance to have a chance at top spot xp.

    it is true. caps are huge advantage to dd xp. can you tell me how much base xp i earned in this one(it is ranked)? how much base xp i would have earned if i only did pure damage. and how much base xp i would earn if i had 2 full caps earned besides this? try to make your best educated guess.

    by casuals i dont mean someone who plays rarely. i mean every player who plays this game without any intention to improve and is just playing this game for enjoyment of taking a ship out. i saw one yamato player that had over 4k games, but had still 43% WR and 30-40k average damage in yamato. although he had so many games he is still casual. yes performance is bell curve, just it looks little different. smth like this red bell curve presents skill distribution compared to other players, so if you ask how is average skill compared to average player, answer is 5 (like i said then this topic question becomes meaningless) green bell curve presents distribution compared to skill that can be achieved (couldnt find better graph but this will do for example).

    ... i put one example oh how damage is underrated for any class and you have to lead holy crusade against CV players. if you check my stats i played less than 20% of my ranked games with CV, and 70% with DD. DD are easier to play in ranked and that is a fact. with hiryu although i had 90% WR till i got to rank 10 (and got my [edited]kicked by few best dedicated CV players on server), i rarely topped the tables with xp no matter how much damage i did. usually dd-s were on top of my team on xp table. and dd and AS saipans were on top of losing team most of the times. but with DD usually i will be on top of losing team if i cap 1-2 times and do some minor damage to enemy DD. you can rarely outperform dd that has capped, unless you really do some really great damage. that is why higher ranks have DD meta. and only way to balance this is to buff damage xp.

    i seriously think that you have brain damage and are unable to read what i wrote. FFS i reminded you 5 times in this topic alone that i dont find CV UP but every time you are putting words into my mouth. or maybe you are one of those special needs children so you need extra repeats? btw essex midway only has ~10k damage less than yamato. clearly yamato UP. edit: fixed error

    i would say somewhere between 3-4. there are too many casuals that bring down skill level of average player.

    yes. on lower ranks you will see all kinds of ppl on top of the table with xp cause of the large skill difference between players, so good player can be on top with any ship. further you get in the ranks you will see mostly dd on top of the xp table. one game i dealt 141k damage with hiryu. that is damage for at least 3 full hp ships (sniped CV, BB and i think i killed one CA ) and i still finished second cause i didnt cap and dd did. so killing almost half enemy team isnt valued same as capping.

    btw i will just put stats for taiho taiho before ranked: 143 players, 76k average damage taiho after ranked 80 players, 77k average damage.

    i think it is. he was not asking how well average player is performing compared to total player population, but how average player is performing on absolute scale of skills when you watch him. sure it is complex question and differs from case to case basis, but overall you can draw some conclusions.

    this was just as i was telling him. stats before ranked: name players damage caused Yamato 400 86576 Hakuryu 44 110459 after ranked name players damage caused Yamato 296 84691 Hakuryu 29 93827 104 players less in yamato and 15 players less in hakuryu. one ship lost 1/4 of players, other lost 1/3. one lost 16.5k average damage, other lost 2k average damage. you see a problem when you have small statistical sample of players?
