he probably just shot at location you were at and compensated for your reversing. he can also know your general direction cause every time he hits he gets ribbons (and you see shell explosion even in smoke).

well you know that it is in human psyche to only remember perceived mistreatment. like i said before there is loyalty program already ingame just people didnt notice it. it is missions, challenges, limited time promo codes(if you are active in forum/FB/reddit), limited time campaigns (kamikaze r, GNB, christmas convoy (even though we had to fight for it in eu), rewards for ranked/CB), raffles etc. you can get a lot if you play. it doesnt seem like reward cause you had to "earn" them. there is customer retaining program. these players played and quit for 2 or more months (i guess). so WG wanted to give them what is perceived as valuable gift to bring them back to the game and maybe make them spend money. i say perceived, cause if everyone had it, it wouldnt be so valuable anymore. does it go to all inactive players or just inactive players who spent $$? i dont know. they seem "rewarded" with valuable ships for not playing. also there is customer acquisition program. like refer a friend (your friend gets diana and texas). they are rewarded ships for signing up. these all steps are valuable to keeping game alive. if you dont have programs for customer retention and customer acquisition this game will die at very fast rate.

rpf isnt that useful on chappy. but it is super useful on a dd. more or less when you are stealth spotted, enemy is in radar range. most dd usually come from one direction so there is little chance you will get flanked (at least in higher leagues. in lower...). i would recommend AFT

someone wrote this query for campaign last year (there was similar topic around christmas last year also) and this year they recycled the same code without checking for errors. and i understand factor of human error in writing query cause if you worked with big databases (and i mean very big) things can be messy with hundreds of columns and tables of which some have ambiguous values. and sometimes you dont work with data in direct database, but with views on several tables and guy who made the view could have made mistake with ambiguity of all the columns and renamed it to something that user (marketing guy) would understand easier and made mistake there. yes writing sql query is rather easy on simple tables, but writing queries with big databases is something completely different. when i worked in telecommunication company i needed around 2-3 months to learn structure of part of database that i was using with all its quirks and whatnots to be able to write most of the queries without mistakes.

this is purely human error. someone wrote wrong SQL querry and took last PVP battle as condition for checking inactivity instead of last login or last overall battle or smth similar.

while you see this as lets say 50$ reward to players who went away and may never return, they see it as 0$ investment to attract old customer. what is cost of assigning them premium ships if they never return? what is the cost if those players who havent played for lets say 6 months come back cause of those ships? what is the benefit if few of those players who returned cause of those ships spend money and spend money? players may return cause they perceive this reward valuable, while for WG it is not. only thing that is questionable in all of this is that in this campaign active players were included. then that leads to this:

i think i saw the reply last year in almost exact same topic. it was something like this: "We have made marketing campaign. We are sorry you didnt get reward. We will me conducting similar campaigns in future and you may be included in some of them" btw if you search forum around same time last year you may find topic with almost exact same campaign and exact same problem (campaign for returning players, active players in it)

this is same in almost all companies. if you for example ask telecommunication company for discount on your rate plan, you will most probably not get anything. but threaten them you will leave or sign contract with another operator and they will give you 50% discount so you stay for next 2 years... i wont defend them, just that this is normal business practice. for example if this was telecommunication company and you learned that some people are paying 50% for same rate plan you have, you wouldnt feel so angry. it is all about perception.

i am returning to this game almost every day for past 2 years.. i think i deserve some reward btw this is normal practice in most big companies. it is called customer retention. it is usually done through 2 ways (well that i know of). 1. loyalty programs (so ingame campaigns, special missions, community contests etc.) 2. stopping defections to another brand. so they send rewards/discounts to retain customers (in this case they give rewards for players to come back to game and keep playing it). ever wondered why whenever you wanted to switch telecommunications operator original operator you where on gives you super sweet discounts for signing contract for next 2 years? also the guy who made campaign for returning players made mistake in his selection of "inactive" players so active players have been selected also.

i think this is remnant of SA bug cause it behaves identically. before you would get SA icon 2-3 seconds before you would see ship. i remember that this happened at that time also. ship appears on minimap 2-3 seconds before you see him, you radar ship in front of you and it takes 2-3 seconds for model to be drawn...

you had CB till yesterday. it was purely skilled based MM. and it was enjoyable. also you have "skill" based ranked. if you get to rank 5 early you can get pretty enjoyable games, but that worsens over time.

carried win in my gadjah with 3 afk in my team. it wasnt that hard considering that enemy team played like they had 6 players afk .

think they only check on first time, then give you SC with random ship from list. if you have even that ship then you get gold.
