New Year Gifts and Rewards: Your One-Stop Guide
Hanse77SWE replied to The_EURL_Guy's topic in News & Announcements
Took a look at her. Just a worse Zara. Better speed (1 kts.) but worse reload, worse range and no torps. Abruzzi has half the reload (152 mm), HE, torps, better speed AND a heal. -

That was my plan too. I had €100 set aside for this Xmas but that just means those stay in my wallet. :-) -
New Year Gifts and Rewards: Your One-Stop Guide

I feel that most players will look at this and go "This is undoable." and they won't even try or spend any money on it. I've done every directive that has come out up untill now but when I see this all I feel is "I can't do this." For the average player, this is just one big middlefinger and might as well never happened. No point in even trying.- 372 replies

The only ship I don't have of those 86 is the Ark Royal, and I don't even play CVs so...meh. I might buy a box or two on Xmas morning just for the heck of it but I don't see anything gained from it.
-
I run IFHE on my "Massa" and it works fine as far as I can see.
-
Aaaaand that one of the reasons I stick with co-op and scenarios. Hardcap of one CV per team per game.
-
Why so little control over CVs aircrafts ?
Hanse77SWE replied to sergentthereal's topic in General Discussion
Sounds like you want to play a high-end flight simulator. I suggest you go look for one instead of messing up what's supposed to be a ship-game even more. -
They are icebreakers, not warships and not eligible in the game so I don't even understand why you bring them up. And the reason I didn't read it was that you edited that part in afterwards.

If you mean this one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oden-class_coastal_defence_ship It's 3 700 tons. If you mean this one: https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oden_(isbrytare) she was built in the late 1980's and was prepared to carry mines and some AA in case of war as can any other ship under Swedish flag. She is not a ship of the navy but is run by the "Sjöfartsverket" (Department of Maritime affairs). She is NOT a warship. Fun fact: She has been to the North Pole eight times.
-
No. The Tre Kronor-class was the biggest warships Sweden has built in modern times.
-
Omaha was 9 500 tons full load. 12 x 152 mm guns. 35 kts. 9 000 nm range at 10 kts. HMS Tre Kronor was 9 200 tons. 7 x 152 mm guns. 33 kts. 4 350 nm range at 14 kts. HMS Sverige was 7 688 tons. 4 x 283 mm guns. 22.5 kts. 2 720 nm range at 14 kts. Tre Kronor was laid down in Sep 1943, launched 16 Dec 1944 and commissioned 25 Oct 1947. So not in use untill over two years after the war ended and only one year before Des Moines (21 000 tons) and Worcester (18 000 tons). The Omaha's was commissioned 1923-1925.

Are you happy with current Ranked System?
Hanse77SWE replied to Alfa_Tau's topic in General Discussion
Quickybaby put this up yesterday. It's about WoT but som of the stuff works here too. -
I haven't played ranked since season 11 and I sleep very good at night thank you very much.
-
How not to Neptune.
-
Denmark gave up on the first day and lost 16 men. Norway held out for about two months.
-
HMS Sverige was a costal battleship or in swedish "Pansarskepp". HMS Tre Kronor and HMS Göta Lejon was built 1943-1947 and was 9 200 tons full load. Omaha was 9 500 tons full load. There, facts!
-
Yes, really.
-
As I see it they are meant to be played as close support/protection/screen for the big boys. Not to rush of but to stay with the team.
-
T1 is no problem. But you don't put a 8 800 ton ship with 2x2 + 1x3 152mm as a DD....no no no and hell no.
-
She's a cruiser so..no. Better to save her for that line.
-
Ehhh...no? The biggest ships in the Swedish navy was the "Tre Kronor"-class with 7x152 mm and about the size of an Omaha and they were built after WWII. The most heavily armed ships were the "Sverige"-class (1917) and they had 2x2 280 mm and were even smaller than "Tre Kronor" Perhaps three cruisers can be used (Fylgia, Gotland and Tre Kronor) and "Sverige" might work at T2. Many of our wartime DDs were italian designs so some "cross-tree-work" can be done there. Apart from that: Nothing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HSwMS_Sverige https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tre_Kronor-class_cruiser
-
They don't have to work hard for the Blueprint, all of them are in the KGB archives. ;-)
-
Because Sweden never built anything bigger than an Omaha and that was after WWII.
-
Whatever you want to do.
