    Developer Bulletin 0.9.0

"Still 3 months"? I've had them since they came out and I haven't gotten a single one of them yet and now you expect me to grind all 18 of them in three months? You are delusional. All that work and progress for nothing.

Are you going to grind the Puerto Rico?

I agree. Fired a salvo at a BB at about 12 km and 8/8 shells hit! Tight! Took a "La Fanta" for 9k in one salvo. Also a hydro that spots torps at 4 km and ships at 6 km is not bad at all.

Are you going to grind the Puerto Rico?

I just did the math about my own chances to get the PR. I bought the the Gorizia just to get the missions that could be unlocked with her. My plan is to grind to directive 3 and get the doubloons. Nothing strange, I was short on doubloons and I might as well get them that way as buying them straight up. When I did the math I came to the conclusion that if I do the 3:rd directive before the deadline on the 14/1 then I have the option to pay the 35k for the PR. I have 4k and will get 8.5k for the Gorizia so If I want the PR I'll have to buy 22.5k doubloons. About €75. Less if the lootboxes give more doubloons. I haven't bought any of the doubloon-boosters. So, I have a month to decide if I want it or not and I'm in no hurry to decide yet. Feels good to know my options though.
  4. Happens often to me. I have Crohns disease. Once I parked my DD behind an Island, ran of, came back and picked up from there. Sometimes you have time to do a yolo-run but most times you just have to go and hope that your ship is still floating when you come back. The question is: What is worse? Have a bad game or crapping/peeing your pants and have to do the cleaning/washing?
  5. I've done the math and if I really want the PR I could get away with about €70 or even less. Good thing is that I don't have to decide for another month.

    Dockyard: the Rules Made Simple

Nope. Not gonna do it. During this week I'll melt my snowflakes then there's nothing else for me to do untill the middle of january. Great way to put "content" into a game. Set up an event that 99% will never see the end of. I also want to share a thought about how I feel. The reason I won't even start or bother with this is the same reason why I don't swim across the English channel. I don't start anything that I can't complete.
  8. A clanmate of mine came across this guy. Notice that the account was set up on the same day as the patch was released.

Completed stage 1 of Puerto Rico

Same here. Did first but I doubt theat I'll get more done.
  10. I've managed to pick up four and one of them was a duplicate. I doubt that I even can get 20 containers since many of them are locked behind directives. But on the other hand, the finale price is kinda "meh".

    Christmas Crates Drop Rate Project

So far I've picked up 32 of the small ones and not a single ship. But I have 85/86 so that might be the reason. The rest: 1x50 Zulu 2x50 Equal Speed Charlie London 2x50 Zulu Hotel 1x4 Frosty Fir Tree 11x4 New Year Streamer 5x2 500 coal 4x300 doubloons 5x10k FXP 1x50 Papa Papa

Carriers, Research Bureau, Puerto Rico... next?

We don't need more ships. We need more things we can do with the ships we got.

What the PR PR fiasco cost wargaming?

But it is. Interfereing that is Yes. Been there, done that, doing it again tomorrow. Doesn't matter. The rework was pointless and the CVs mess up the game just by existing. "Research Bureau". Basically. Do Everything you've done before, again. Get one ship. Exactly! It's might as well been left out. It's like a ferrari. It's doesn't matter how many there are, I'm never gonnan get one so they might as well didn't excist. At first. Everybody whos been around know thats WG-speak for "This will come no matter what you say." And it also means WG will put resources and time into something that won't ad anything to my gamingexperience. I did. I picked not to bother at all. Meaning WG have put resources and time into something that doesn't ad to the gameingexperience for players like me or the bulk of the playerbase. I'm been looking for that "silver lining" for a year now and I don't want to go farther down this road that's starting to look more and more like a dead end. Should I spend another year on this game, i.e. wasting my time, or try and find something else that actually might be fun? Look, you're in a totaly different place than I am. Where you are now, I was two years ago. What you have infront of you, I've already done. You have a lot left to do. I've done everything I can do with this game and I feel more and more that it's time to move on and WG does nothing to get me out of that mindset. On the contrary, it feels like they want to get rid of me. And you should Watch those videos. They talk about how a F2P-game needs the casual players, they are a part of the game in the same way as artwork and mechanics. If you scare away those players, then the game will lose a very important part. Players are a part of the content.
  15. If you want to buy it straight up its about €200. Boosters + a part-gind is about €80. So if you pay full prize for a T10 then you still have to do half a mega-grind to get it. Pay or work, not pay AND work.
  16. For me all of this boils down to one thing: Time. Very, very few players have the time to do this even if they throw money at it. Even in the WG stream when they were asked to let someone on the WG staff do the free-grind the answer was: "We can't do that, we have jobs to do." says it all. No one has time to do it and therefore the whole setup is broken by design. If it was without the deadline it would've been OK but all this work in just four weeks over the hoilday? Hell no! Then the fact that WG doesn't want to take responseability for the errors they have made only ads insult to injury. My faith in the game has never been as low as now.

What the PR PR fiasco cost wargaming?

It's the line above it too. "Entirely possible" is changed to just "possible".

What the PR PR fiasco cost wargaming?

No, I'm not confusing things. Yes I have 287 ships in port but I never play a ship more than once a day. And I play almost every day. So that's not a problem. The problem is that there's nothing fresh and new I can do with my 287 ships. The problem is that WG hasn't put anything new in the game the last year that I liked or had any use for. Sure, I can't expect the game to be built around me but is once a year too much to ask? I'm still waiting for the missing operations to come back or a new mission-based gamemode. So I have been playing the same ships in the same way for over a year now and it's getting stale. Imagine eating the same food day in and day out for a year. CV rework is considered a failure. RB was made for the top players. PR-event was made for the top players. Subs are going to ruin the balance of the game (for me). Directives is a neverending grind-fest. Unless there comes any new content that I feel I can use and/or get some fun out of, then it feels like I'm done with this game. Finished! Done it all! What's next? Here's an entire playlist of vids about F2P gamemechanics.

What the PR PR fiasco cost wargaming?

I've been running Premium-time for at least the last three years but I've decided that when it runs out in about 70 days, I'm not getting more. I was ready to put some money on the game this Xmas but that's out of the question now. But I've also had some thoughts about what the game has "given" me in the last year and what the future has to offer and it looks like this. CV rework: Zero value for me. (Don't play CVs.) Reseach Bureau: Zero value for me. (Don't want to "replay" the entire game again.) Submarines: Zero value for me. (I believe they don't fit the game and will make it worse/less fun.) Puerto Rico: Zero value for me. (Don't have time/energy to do the grind or the money to bypass it.) And it's this, seeing event after event enter the game with no value whatsoever for me, that made me realize that, as far as I'm concerned, this game hasn't evolved or added any new content in the last year and the future looks bleak as well. In short: I've put time and money into this game for the last four years but I don't see the point in doing that anymore. Unless WG does something noteworthy with the game then I see no future in it for me.

    Shipyard & Puerto Rico

BTW Played co-op last night (first day of the event) and came across this guy in a Puerto Rico. "Only for the best players." Yeah…….right! I hope that when this is over WG will have a speradsheet that shows them how many payed for it, how many played for it and how many that just didn't care.

Are you going for the Alaska+ (AKA PR)

€195 if you want her straight away. (Is what I've heard.) I'm not even gonna try. Just gonna melt my snowflakes and that's that. :-)

Concept of the drydock itself: Great! How to get it done: Pure madness!
  23. Ehhhh….no? How could I play ten hours a day and at the same time work, celebrate Xmas and new year with the family AND stay sane. You keep forgetting that most of us don't play this game like a fulltime job. The problem isn't Money or Willpower, it's time. It's the same reason why nine women can't have a baby in one month. There is not enough time available in a day to do the things you want us to do. Not if you have a normal life. Next time you feel the urge to set up an event like this, please invest in a pocket calculator and check if the stuff you demand of us is doable. It's a bit sad that WG put all this effort into the event and so many players won't even bother to use it. There are other things in life besides videogames and believe it or not, those things might be more important. Most of us don't plan out lives around this game you know?
