Spend 1k doubloons for guaranteed UK CA?
Hanse77SWE replied to Jvd2000's topic in General Discussion
The perma-cammo is worth 1k just by itself. I'd go for it. -
It's happened alot lately that the CV drops torps on an enemy that someone else already have torps in the water on. Result: Enemy turns and what should have been a dev. strike becomes a 0-damage event. So, please CVs, check this before attacking because you might do more harm than help.
-
I've heard about different goals- Long term, mid term and short term. For me. Long term: Buy all the ships. I don't care for the CVs but right now it's about getting credits to re-buy all the ships. Mid term: Unlock and buy the RN CA T10. No hurry. I'll get there. Short term: Get through the current directive. That's it. No hurry. The only deadline is the directives and even that is no problem. I just do a kind of "go-for-a-sunday-drive"-thing in co-op and operations to keep myself sane. No worries. Cool runnings man.

I have stopped caring. Not even about the British line i have waited since Beta for.

I care less and less. Mostly because I've done it all and can't really see myself doing this for much longer. Doing the same thing over and over again i different ships (that starting to look more and more the same) will get old eventually. I still loiter around the co-op scene but for how long? Even I don't know the answer to that. Perhaps one day I'll just log out and can't find a reason to log back in again. It's that simple. -
Your counter is to use: Upgrades: Damage Control System Modification 1 in slot 2 Damage Control System Modification 2 in slot 4 Captain skills: High alert at tier 2 Basics of Survivability at tier 3 Fire Prevention at tier 4 Signal flags: "India Yankee" gives -20% to fire duration. On top on this you'll need to know when to use Dam Con and Heal to get the best results. Good luck!

No, not a blob. The ships would be spread out over 10x10 km or so. "Move together" isn't the same as "Stick together". Also the DDs up front would also act as an screen to detect these torps, giving the bigger ships behind ample time to react. And the Benhams torps has a 10.5 km range.
-
Not really. Not voting takes care of that.
-
And no one. Remember: "Both" ;-)
-
But the existence of "both" makes them meaningless since you don't have to choose between them. OP might as well set the poll so that we could pick all three options. (Which he for all practical reasons has.) And what's the meaning of a poll if you can do that? It's like playing musical chairs with equal numbers of persons and chairs.
-
Which makes the poll pointless. No decision has to be made and the meaning of the poll becomes moot.
-
You're missing the point. It's the set up of poll that's wrong. What's the point of choosing between apples and pears if you can choose both? By doing so we can't know wich one is the preferd option. "Do you want X or Y?" "Yes!"
-
It's wrong to put "both" as an alternative. By picking "both" you cover all bases and the poll becomes pointless since no decision has to be made.

What's up with the Norse names for German premiums?

It should work the same way as a cammo, flag or signal. The other players see the one you picked. -

It's not a mod but an in-game feature. -
As I see it, the way to avoid DDs from go off alone and get blapped 2 minutes into the game is to NOT let them go alone to get blapped 2 minutes into the game. If the whole team moves as one then alot of this can be avoided. DDs: Don't rush off to go scout the first thing you do. Yes, recon is a must but not a the cost of your life. Wait for backup. Your first job is to stop the enemy DDs, screen the main force and after that you can go hunt for yourself. Crusers: Depending on what kind of cruiser either follow the DDs to give support as first contact is taken and then fall back and give fire-support or, stay at the flanks of the BBs for AA- and long-range firesupport. BBs: MOVE UP! It can't be said too often. You have the biggest HP-pool and the best armor. USE IT! Draw fire and go tank! You can take it, your smaller team-mates can't. CVs: Your first job is to spot. Keep you planes alive and the enemy spotted is more important than getting some early shots in. After that when the two sides are stuck in, then you can go for the damage. This also helps you to save planes for the late game. Everybody: A good thing to do at the start is to "Stack up". The ships "line up" in order of detection-range. A DD with 6 km and a cruiser with 10 km = Cruiser stays about 4 km behind the DD so that they get spotted at the same time. A BB with 14 km stays another 4 km behind the cruiser. This means that: a) When they get spotted at the same time the enemy is confused for a short while and has the choose a target before they start shooting, losing time doing so, and b) The team splits the damage taken between them and by doing so keeps the ships alive rather than if one ship gets focused down. (As happens when a DD goes of alone without support.) Every ships that goes over to the other side, camps, smoke up or just hides means that the team-mates have to take damge for him too. And that kills the team faster and means the that guy who "chickened out" at the start will later in the game face several enemies at the same time, alone. "If you'd fought like a man you'd not have to hang like a dog" comes to mind. This strategy is not fool-proof but it's a basis for an active mindset that works more times than not. And ask yourself this: "What do I have to lose? Does my heart stop and I fall down dead? Does the bank come and take all my money? Does my home dissapear in a cloud of dust?" The answer is: "No!" You haven't lost anything of value so what's the risk of taking a chance?

You can change to the nation flag under "Exterior" -> "Flags". From the Wiki: "Ships from tech trees that cover multiple nations — such as Commonwealth or Pan-Asia — can choose to fly either the "national" flag shown in the tech tree, or the ensign of the nation they actually represent." -
My experience is that it plays alot like a Buffalo.

If everything goes as planned UK will no longer be part of the EU by then.

There will never be a BB with bigger guns then Yamato...

In one game. -
There's an "Icon" that says "Takviye" so that should mean that it's possible to do it. Also, this post is from six o'clock this morning and the "build" was still "active" then.

I had the idea that this kind of stuff should be on each ship so you can't progress to the next one without learning something.

I've read somewhere that WG doesn't like to release a ship just for one event only so, yes, it will be for sale sometime in the future.

He gets 4.5M Points just by activating it and that's enough.
