The only problem with lots of forums is that it means each forum will be smaller. I value the opinions of many of the ex yu posters who seem to have made many useful and interesting posts and whose command of English is very impressive. I can however see that a forum in one's own language would be better and would therefore support it - especially if you all promise not to completely stop posting here! I do help run an unrelated web site and we are often asked for separate language forums and supply them only to see them almost completely unused.

Proposition: "Champions-League-Mode" for experienced players
triumphgt6 replied to MrRobin667Cc's topic in General Discussion
I think it might work a the highest tiers but there may well be a lot more waiting! I would also suggest that it would be better if you could only play a percentage of your games in this mode as beginners need to learn and playing against more skilled opposition is a good way of learning. As to the criteria for entry, that of course will be influenced by stat padding - I have had three games tonight - was top in each - one win in a Fujin - was a tier 5 game - felt dirty as clearly was seal clubbing - I prefer playing the Fujin at T7. The other two were defeats in the Fiji - I don't think I was bad but the other teams were simply better. Now the defeats in the Fiji were far more satisfying from a game play point of view but didn't do my win rate any favours!- 4 replies

Prinz Eugen and Nagato sank after the Bikini tests - however will still be radioactive so although likely safe to dive on, I wouldn't want to work on the ticket counter!

The Mikasa is hilarious - however it only works in Co-op - then at least the other team has one and the other ships sail into your secondary range. Of course no-one with any sense of public decency will use one in Random - I did appear in a division of three of us - we were truly spanked! Of real ships that you have to grind, the Emerald is awful - I actually free XP'd her but have since bought her - glad I missed her on the way up. The Colorado was awful but has been buffed - the complaints are from a couple of years ago, when she really was awful.

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?
triumphgt6 replied to Cobra6's topic in General Discussion
Saw Dropsiq in his Minotaur - he led an Izumo and Bismark a merry dance whilst the rest of his team capped. I was in a Neptune on the other side of the map - deleted as sailed out past the island and deployed smoke - only seemed to get one puff so after killing the low HP Amagi, a Hindenburg easily killed me! -
The major change is that one spends a lot of time fighting tier 8 German Battleships which are simply better. Playing against Fuso, New Mexico and even the Colorado was fun. Up against the Bismark and the secondaries set you on fire, the primaries citadel you and your shells seem to do not a lot. I play the Warspite at close/medium range but that really doesn't work against that opposition. Still turns on a sixpence though.

He will be fined too. Not fair, but ramming damage reflects both ways.

Both of your stats are better than mine but I would be aiming for the 77k average damage myself. At the rate I am going, it should be about 2020! LOL
-
I would strongly suggest you division with someone - you would enjoy it and he might curb some of your headstrong charges! I would start with a co-op division so you get the hang of it - there are a number who do this - I would offer but I play at odd times and have a Mac which is not very suited to various aspects of the game!!

What you do with pigs in your own time is completely up to you! Shall we have a sweepstake on how much longer this thread will stay on site? The Brexit decision was very close and clearly arguments on both sides, The majority voted Brexit, that is what will happen. It will probably mean Scotland leaving the UK though and I would not be surprised if the EU is a lot weaker because of it, both of which will be a shame in my view. I work in the NHS and not expecting a bean!

Actually it was aimed at Krismorgan - I share your frustration though - I suppose the problem is that when I started, I might have been one of the idiots heading south - though not at this level!

French and British - very different ! The most similar nationality to the British in my experience seem to be the Danes - similar sense of humour. However they seem to be generally nicer people!

You could argue that to get to Edinburgh, most will have had to grind the RN CL line and will be better players than the average player in a premium ship that can be bought by anyone. But I do think that the RN line is a bit OP - which is why I love playing them!
-
Surely a better idea is to division up or join a clan - confess to doing neither but don't play Tier X yet - not good enough!
-
You do realise that 48% of the UK voted to stay? The other 52% voted to leave the EU but probably not for what is actually happening. I was rather hoping that in time Russia would join the EU and nationalism would start to diminish.

I am not going to look at your stats - mine are nothing to write home about. However I too am not in the first flush of youth, but I love this game. I can also afford whatever I like in this game and also have a good number of premium ships. However, when I started, I had a hard time surviving and scored poorly. I too watched all the videos and so decided to improve my game style. I had originally really wanted to have the Cleveland and was rubbish in it. I therefore decided to get better - this involved sailing the St Louis. I have had 1000+ battles in her. Very forgiving of mistakes and let me build up some idea of tactics. I also try to support my team rather than going off by myself. Definitely got better, WR went over 50% and damage done and XP earned just keeps going up. I now play mainly Fiji and destroyers. Have to be far more careful and I still don't think I am very good but I have a healthy Karma score, top the XP list reasonably regularly and have over 60% WR in both Fiji and Edinburgh. I do have a Neptune and completely stink in her - too big and squishy! I play her mainly in Co-Op so I get used to her before inflicting myself on my team. I could afford a Minotaur - easily enough XP but will not buy it till I am good in the Neptune. I also don't play any premium until I have played the relevant tier in a silver ship. One other bit of standard advice is to division up with someone - I confess I never do as I don't want to let anyone down - but there are some divisions who play Co-op who could well be a place to start. The other bit of advice I must take more is to try to survive! The battle lasts 20 minutes, don't die in the first five. If things start looking bad, run away for a while and get back to the fleet. Keep enjoying the game but you will find it even more fun when you get better results.

Had my first in about 6 weeks - these days always go for flags - so I got.... 5 million credits! Which I really don't need!

I play on an iMac which did have issues with slow loading and crashes a while ago - not wishing to curse myself, but it has been far better recently. Not crashed for months. Graphics are not great so thinking of getting dedicated PC but probably a bit OTT as would only use it for this game!

No heal though - I prefer the Fiji. Heal and torps.

Agree - a friendly spotting DD is a real boon. The Fiji is particularly good at charging DDs and CAs in smoke. Pretty tough for a RN cruiser with lots of forward guns that fire quickly and hydro to avoid Torps. Is really best when working with team, but which ship isn't!

How many games do you have in your favourite ship?
triumphgt6 replied to HMS_Colander's topic in General Discussion
I have played a lot initially in the St Louis - just over 1000 battles - I used to always start with a battle as my first game loaded slowly and played it when feeling oppressed as easy to play! Not played it for ages though as now use Fujin as first battle and RN cruisers for rest. Still play Atlanta completely for fun - nearly 1000 battles in her! Only 255 in Fiji but will be catching up soon! Much better in Fiji than Atlanta!! -
Things I would love to see changed about the game but probably never will
triumphgt6 replied to Echelon2k's topic in General Discussion
But how would that work? By the nature of the thing, are you promoted and relegated? In a group of players, some will be above 50% and some below, so selecting just over 50% will mean half of them will then go to less than 50% in short order. What might be better is to make sure there was an even spread of abilities in each team - maybe an equal average?
