We are looking into ways to reduce the BB population
triumphgt6 replied to Horin728's topic in General Discussion
How about having a multiplier for XP and credits dependent on how far forward the ship is compared to its spawn position. Negative multiplier if you move backwards! Or maybe use a version of the epicentre with maximum multiplier if in the middle and decreasing the further out one gets with no score if border hugging. Clearly CVs need a different system and I am willing to make the concentric circles different for different classes. Giving flags if you sore a certain percentage of damage in the inner circles. -
Not sure - I fancy the 1:200! But it is a long time since I built anything - more into car engineering these days!
-
I did not know that - thank you, and for the link. I agree about the other camos. I am very tempted to get the Trumpeter kit - my last Hood model would have been the Airfix 1:600 one some 40+ years ago!
-
But there is a plain grey camo for the Hood - it is how I run it and it looks great. Certainly not using the other camos - the roundel on the turret is the only inaccuracy I think.

Got triple citadelled in my Fiji by the front turret of a Graf Spee whilst kiting - not broadside - killed him at almost the same time as had been shooting at him for some time - he did confess to it being the luckiest shot he had done for a while but we both complimented each other as it had been a great fight - he knew what he was doing and I had been against 2 BBs as well. Sometimes it just happens and is just part of playing CLs.

Jingles has quit the EU WG CC Program

Flamu is quite acerbic in his comments but I have learned more from watching his videos than anyone else. I don't aspire to his level of play but it is useful to know what one should do and sometimes I even manage to do it. Being old and British, some of his choice of language is not the same as mine but I am not inviting him round to meet my mother! Jingles was where I started and watching him play let's me see a more normal player at work - even if he only shows his very best battles!! Coming from Newcastle, I have a soft spot for him and hope all works out. I would not play the game if he had not been posting his videos. -
..aaand Hood first week official results are out...

I don't normally play battleships as far too slow and I get bored! The Hood is much more like a cruiser and much more fun - and I play the game for fun! I confess to potato status but have a 60% WR so far in her and despite using her as a bit of a brawler, am enjoying it. The aa is brilliant - never shot down so many planes in a BB before - again is cruiser like so I am well pleased with her - and she looks gorgeous! -
To get modules, simply shoot HE for a while - get a module a hit it would seem. My Ap is not as good as I would like - probably my rotten shooting but lots of overpens and shatters.
-
You are right - chasing dds in the Hood slightly fraught! Charged a smoke cloud as I would in the Fiji only to find a Shiratsuyu and ten torps - it didn't end well!

Which achievement is hard for you?!

Never had solo warrior - had die hard once(in a Fiji!!) and had Clear Skies seven times as have an Atlanta . Most are Devastating Strike followed by First Blood; could be why I don't have solo warrior!! -
So, Hood owners. Your opinions please?
triumphgt6 replied to Drunken_Jedi's topic in General Discussion
Just had my first detonation! Resisted buying till today (not that long!!) as far more interested in Valiant - but she is very pretty - was averaging only 56k dmg till this happened - it was a torpedo though, and not from a Bismark class ship!- 123 replies

Well said - was also stunningly beautiful - the Bismarck embodied power, the Hood had grace.
-
I liked ocean - except if in the Atlanta!
-
So would I - before 1940, which covers a large part of the game, I would take the RN.
-
I don't know - had 80% win rate yesterday in IJN dds and RN cruisers - more please!
-
More CVs - clearly the way forward but also reduce BBs AA values so they rely on cruisers to defend them - less camping and a reward for teamwork - would massively improve gameplay
-
Play tier 7 - I mainly play that tier, have no illusions about my skill and still have 241 million credits at the moment - and recently bought the Minotaur which I am slowly trying out - at present mainly in Co-Op so I don't disadvantage a team by being useless!

Esa Tuunanen - The one man meme machine (Jingles Video)

Agree - Esa is a very good player - seen him once in his Gremy - I was in my Fiji - pleased to say he looked elsewhere for his kills and carried his team well. -

Now what would be truly the mark of a great player is someone who played only the Mikasa and had a 70% win rate! Took mine out yesterday (in Co-Op, didn't want to hurt a team!) and had forgotten just how awful the dispersion is. Did get some citadels though! -
It is not very much and it is sometimes difficult to assign blame = a DD cutting across a BB for instance - I play mainly RN CLs and am regularly rammed in my smoke as other ships try to share it. Just a hazard really. Only bad if you are pink I suppose!
-
Wonderful - looking forward to more details but about what I expected -detection range and torp range needed - looks small and stealthy though!
-
Possibly one way to make CVs more popular is to introduce a RN line - I would certainly venture there again for the Ark Royal.
-
Use the Jutland flag except on the Tirpitz. Don't care about any of the others.

And a lot of Greeks fought bravely despite having poor equipment - in the defense of Crete, their actions saved the lives of many British and Commonwealth soldiers. And he is correct in one regard - the British battleships were not as good as some of the Axis ships but the Navy was still one of the biggest and able to fight well in the Mediterranean. I am sure many Greeks regard the British as allies against the invading forces, who kept supporting during the days of the resistance. Of course the British did build the Mikasa and Kongo!

The front one - that is Harry - his kennel name was Bassbar Wizard and he was orphaned as his mother died shortly after he was born. Had to be Harry! Mine was the brown one to the left - Brutus - his father was Marcus Aurelius... The other two are his brothers - the one brown one is my daughter's and my wife has the other two - the black one is a champion - Dearduenna Stroganoff or Strog to his friends. Love the Shar Pei - there is one on our beach but he has a lion cut (looks rather chilly!)
