I would prefer a vanilla game with the ability to change appearances but not aiming assistance etc. Been on a Mac so no mods at all!!

Mine does exactly the same - done all that has been suggested and nothing works. Have given up and joined the dark side - Windoze laptop arrives tomorrow. WG should stop advertising that this game is playable on a Mac.

The game is clearly not meant for Macs - I have struggled for sometime with mine - initially used Bootcamp and XP but tried that when W10 came out and far too slow. Tried Wine wrapper but every patch has caused problems even when playing at the most basic settings, despite my Macs having decent specs. Have given up and have ordered a dedicated gaming lap top - completely over the top as I only play this game but luckily I can afford it. I did try with my daughter's gaming lap top and apart from some issues with a too fast touchpad, no problems so ordered myself one! Fully expect to be the proud possessor of a 90% WR as can now only blame myself (this is British humour - I fully expect to stink just as much as I did before!) Will only use for WOWS so will see if WG can break it!

Stats are very useful - for your own use. I look at mine to see if I am improving and as I was really bad to start with, I have a constant improvement. I will never be a unicum - and certainly not at present as the game no longer is loadable on my Macs! - but I think I am usually useful in a team with the odd lapse of really sucking! Everyone can have an opinion but experience and win rate tend to mean that the opinion voiced has some backing. The loudest opinion is however not always the most important.

Doesn't load on Mac despite loading new loader - new loader does less than old one - i7 processor etc - no mods. Game now unworkable so lost all chance to use premium time etc. Deeply disappointed.

Completely agree - when I last played (before the patch which has rendered the game unloadable!!) we had a Tier 8 battle with no radar cruiser on the enemy side and a chapaev and 2 Belfasts on ours. ROFL stomp ensued. Simply not fair and wouldn't seem to have been too tricky to at least have put one Belfast on the other side. Clearly one radar cruiser in one side and none in the other is one of those things but three zero is simply unfair.

Obviously a conflict with the wine wrapper - my iMac does just the same.

You are lucky - can't start the game at all - as soon as I log in, the game crashes. On a Mac so don't expect a solution anytime soon!

Selecting News on my Mac just crashes the game so stopped looking!

Are clans not the way forward here? OM clearly apply certain standards so if you qualify join them and you are guaranteed excellent team mates.

Careful what you wish for. There are almost always players better than you and from being a top tier player, you might find your win rate descending rapidly! On another note, a full team of Anthonys in a battle could be most amusing, only rivalled by my experience of a division of Mikasas!

Agree - Emerald! Spectacularly awful - I confess to free XPing her but went back afterwards and it is still awful. Atlanta has taken me many hundreds of games to really get used to - very unforgiving but hilarious when everything lines up!

Got reported today by a Kirov - I had been in my Belfast and had managed to start capping their base - he was 'disappointed' because I was able to kill him from within the smoke as one of my team mates was spotting in a dd - jolly useful chap! I got the usual diatribe about one trick pony and pay to win and how big it must feel to win a game by paying 70 Euro - have to confess only noticing this after the event as was trying to deal with a Leander who instead of whinging, killed the dd and kept out of radar range but peppered the smoke with shells - he eventually killed me once I was out of smoke as the rest of the team had managed to die and he played an excellent game - complimented him! I should have pointed out that without players paying for premium time or ships, there would be no game but seemed too late by the time I noticed! Also it is a bit rubbish being in a tier 7 game in a tier 5 cruiser so I did have some sympathy.

I agree that this would seem to be the obvious solution. I can however see the problem - watching King of the Sea replays from Flamu is tedious in the extreme - watching clouds of smoke with shots coming out of them and torps going into them is not my idea of a good naval battle. Maybe competitive play needs different rules - possibly short acting Perth like smoke only so you can rescue a team mate in trouble but not create safe havens. However having spent most of yesterday being uptiered in my Fiji and Belfast and being one shotted a number of times, I can see that RN cruisers will just become unplayable. Some of it is down to my inattention but take away smoke and it will happen all the time.

She was of course part of the Royal Netherlands Navy for a short period, so is the first Dutch ship in the game!

Belfast is OP but along with the Atlanta, if seen, it is immediately targeted by anyone in range. And radar has a limited duration and once this runs out, if in smoke, the Belfast is blind. The silver tier 7, Fiji, is actually far more fun to play as it can be played in a much less static mode and will forgive the odd mistake, which Belfast does not. Belfast is also a complete slug, starting and stopping can take an age!

!. If playing in Co-op, you play anyway you want - it is designed so you can try things out. 2. Karma is nonsense - I got two downvotes the other day for being in a Belfast (justified to a degree as you can be a real pain in a Belfast!) But everyone know Karma is junk - I used to get upset when I got reported and pleased when complimented - quite frankly don't care now as it means nothing and you can play well and either get no compliments or reports from a bad loser. On 115 at present.

I suggest playing the Gallant - always seems to be a cv in those games! I do agree that picking an AA specced Atlanta is practically a guarantee of no cv though- the obvious solution however is to division with a cv.

I don't find him to be a Brit hater at all - I think he hates racists of any nation, as indeed do I. I am quite happy to admit that my nation has a number of racists and I am sure Exocet would say the same of his. I can fully understand that some French will despise the British if they lost family at Mers-el-Kabir, but that is a personal tragedy. I have friends who will not buy anything Japanese as they or one of their family were in the PoW camps. Same thing. But most of us are of the fortunate era where there has been no European War affecting our country directly. I have no reason to hate any nationality and, having travelled relatively widely, have met nothing but kindness in the countries that I have visited. I love both France and Italy (actually Italy must rank as probably my favourite, as was engaged there and had my honeymoon there). I look forward to seeing plenty of French, Italian and other nations ships in the game and meeting (and shooting at!) many nationalities!

I have a suspicion that the fury he mentions is that if at higher tier in a dd, once the bots see you, they tend to hunt you relentlessly- quite fun but they are far better shots that most players in PvP!! Less sure about the rest of the post - don't torp from second line is the lesson here and still not seen a cheat in any of my battles - seen plenty of players better than me ( though I feel that I am now just a little better than a bot!)

Great heal but feels heavy, slow and big compared to the Fiji. Also suffers with MM so you get instadeleted at times. Just not as much fun as the Fiji though much less vulnerable than Neptune.

I know it is OP, but the Fujin is only fun if in a Tier 7 battle!

Yes, and when selected on my Mac, it crashes the game!!
