Actually it is all very well, but I have certainly got a nice new ship and in my excitement pressed battle having forgotten to load up modules, flags, camo etc! Feel a complete prat at the time! And have done it more than once!!

Had a Saipan decide to wipe me out - I was in the Atlanta - with full AA. He was raging about how was it possible that I wiped out his TBs before he saw me! So the secret is, division with an Atlanta!
-
Bother - I saw that and was about to write the same! learn to play or what!
-
Fiji - has everything I like - quite small, quite quick, quite stealthy, better smoke now, great guns, amusing single fire torps and a heal for when you make a complete pig's ear of something. Prefer it to the Belfast as it is much more nimble and not universally targeted!
-
Agree with your sentiment though - radar is fairer when balanced. If you have 2 radar cruisers vs none, you have a definite advantage.

Couldn't agree more - didn't like Pepsi (original version with awful concealment) but played through to New Orleans - this was also pretty awful and the Baltimore singlehandedly stopped me playing Tier 9!! Only play the Atlanta in the US cruiser range now - still fragile and poor rudder shift but hilarious guns - and the AA is simply god like - had a Saipan try to sink me a few days ago - he didn't and was not a happy bunny at all! The worst ship I have played has to be the Emerald though - this cruiser is just one big citadel!

The Little White Mouse review is superb and balanced - as usual.

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?

Great fun - always good to meet forumites as you know you will get some team play! I think that was my Atlanta battle so I never take those too seriously! Lots of DDs if I remember and you finished off the enemy Atlanta to seal the win! Well played! -
The Italians had some of the most beautiful and powerful ships of WW2 and also some of the bravest sailors - think Queen Elizabeth and Valiant. Unfortunately for them, but luckily for the British, they were not well led. I look forward to more Italian ships becoming available.

Totally different to the Fiji and Edinburgh - as is the Neptune - it feels very big, though possibly not quite as bad as the Neptune, and I think rewards the good player. I am not a good player, but am enthusiastic. It does not reward enthusiasm! It is however not dissimilar, as stated above, to a big Atlanta, except is has no HE. Playing with radar (I had a go after Negativvv posted about this) is very dangerous, as, much like the Atlanta, shooting your guns brings down the wrath of every enemy in range! The difference is that the Atlanta is tier 7 and is up against lesser ships!

I had her for a while but she is awful. I had a soft spot for her as she was built in Newcastle, England, where I am from. But her guns have a dreadful range and every time you are hit, the engine breaks. Emden is far better!

Containers (Useless Capt reserve slots)
triumphgt6 replied to Scousemart's topic in General Discussion
Can't you sell port slots either? Just had a quick flick through my inventory and have all sorts of stuff in there - have more credits than I know what to do with so will keep them till times are hard!! -
Containers (Useless Capt reserve slots)
triumphgt6 replied to Scousemart's topic in General Discussion
I agree completely - have 159 reserve places of which 128 are free - and some are used by teddy bears?? - Not aware that you can sell them or would have done so. Free XP is far better -
Usually use all my compliments and rarely use reports except for racism or afk.

the higher the tier the less I enjoy it.
triumphgt6 replied to Boevebeest's topic in General Discussion
Tier 7 definitely the sweet spot - lots of great ships and nothing like as much camping. -
The poppy is really a British and Commonwealth symbol - the French is the Cornflower - what do other countries have as their symbol of remembrance?

If you want to get complimented, play a dd and smoke anyone you can - might not be useful but they love you. Especially BBs though it is pretty useless for them. But the real trick is to ignore it. 4 compliments today and have been instant deleted 3 times in cruisers! Going to bed!!

Or, now you know what to do, start a new account and apply your new skills. Your stats will look much better though you will remain the good player you already are! Or forget about the stats and have fun and just look at the graphs showing a steady improvement. I am not as good as you but am also 54% solo w/r and have graphs that are always pointing in the right direction. I don’t like BB play so damage is down from where it should be but I have fun, earn oil and do my best to support my team. And I love the game!
-
To be fair, they do get better at higher tiers - if you play a dd and they spot you, they are very tenacious and their shooting is much better than many players!! Still usually do the same thing though so are predictable and hence easy to kill though. I use co-op to try new ships so I know how they handle.

Delighted to be on board and wish I had done it yesterday as only had one container left to collect today! Will do my best to uphold the traditions of the clan!
-
Interested in collecting oil - left clan as became less harmonious but had collected over 1500 oil - happy to start to donate to your. 54% WR, English and play mainly RN. Will apply

Atlanta - have still been getting the odd clear sky with her recently , though obviously a Flint would be probably better.

Lots of good advice - as another British antique, I too sucked though I did not rush up tiers as quickly as you. I got to about Tier 6 as I started really wanting the Cleveland and decided I was awful. I retreated to Tier 3, settled into the St Louis US cruiser and learned how to play. I dragged my appalling win rate to over 50% (I always play solo except in the Mikasa, and that certainly is not a help!) by learning how to shoot better and to look at the Minimap. I am certainly not great now, nothing like some of the posters here, but I do support my team, top the list at times and play mainly Tier 7, which is comfortable. I play two grossly OP ships at times in the Fujin and Belfast but prefer the Fiji and Atlanta as they are more fun. I even have a couple of T10 ships but don't like playing them. I have fun, have a Karma of 155, so must do somethings OK at times and enjoy playing and not feeling cross with either team mates or myself. It is a good way to relax after I get home (I am a doctor).

A proposal on how to extend low-mid tier cruiser survivability
triumphgt6 replied to BlackYeti's topic in General Discussion
Agree - but doesn’t the extra thought make the game more engaging? I do have a Conqueror but have not played her yet as not sure it is my cup of tea. However Minotaur is indeed very squishy- Edinburgh is the last cruiser that I like playing so your point is valid. But T10 is much more static so much of the time that I have little interest in experiencing much more of it.- 28 replies
