Have succumbed and am using Conqueror - hate battleships but needs must! Have discovered that this is the ship to sail if you want to be reported!! Almost never reported but 2 in last game - don't think cruisers expect me to use AP!

Fiji is a fantastic ship - I agree with above; plays like an oversized gun boat destroyer. Of course you can get deleted easily, but that happens in most cruisers at higher tiers. But your concealment is better than almost anything and your broadside will destroy destroyers and cruisers in no time at all. Of course your shots bounce off angled BBs so aim for the superstructure and throw some torps into the mix. Of the others, up to T5 are challenging - the Emerald is a citadel trap though the torps are good and the lower tears (deliberate!!) are certainly fragile. I found Leander tricky initially but once you realise that it is just a big destroyer, it becomes easier. Higher, Belfast is OP and a bit boring to play if truth be known, Edinburgh is like Fiji but seems sluggish in comparison and you meet a lot of T10 ships. Neptune seems very squishy though played my first game in ages a few days ago and it was superb - but probably luck. Minotaur is fragile and as soon as you shoot you will be focused - very like a big Atlanta really! So I play the Fiji - it is also the prettiest cruiser in the game IMHO!

Division with an aa specced Atlanta - that will really annoy him! Had one Saipan getting very salty as he tried to kill me!

Got to 12 no problem but have not progressed at all! Must be me!

And Hans Langsdorff scuttled Graf Spee to prevent the needless loss of life of his crew - which was as courageous in my view.

Played just under 9000 games, detonated 58 times. Play mainly cruisers and dds - 6500 of the random battles = not something that worries me in the slightest - always apologise if detonate someone else.

I play RN cruisers (Fiji, Belfast & Leander) and Fujin almost exclusively, with the odd mad swing into the Atlanta. Karma 181. Also played Lo Yang in ranked and although only at 12, only been reported once so far!!

I agree - this was a great map - possibly my favourite though as was higher tier, always got the adrenaline tingle when it came up. The new one is just like all the others! But I also like Ocean so what do I know!

Do you have premium time? If not, get that instead and you will make far more with your other ships. I do use premium and have over 300 million credits just building up. The present deal for a year is very good!

You are basically where I was 7000 battles ago. My advice looking at your stats would be: 1. Stop playing the Atlanta - it is not easy and is difficult to hit things at any range at all even for someone who is a good shot. It is also made from paper and as soon as you shoot, everyone shoots you. Hold onto it and wait till you get better (and you will!) 2. You do better in battleships and cruisers than destroyers so play something you are good at and enjoy yourself. At your stage, I had similar rotten stats - I too had an Atlanta in which I truly stank, and although hilarious to play, I let myself and my team down. I went back to the St Louis, a forgiving cruiser with lots of guns and learned how to aim. It lets you make mistakes and not die, and this is very helpful. And once you can aim, the game becomes a lt better! I played 1000 games in her and although I am no unicum, I have a 54.5% win rate and rising. I play Tier 7 mainly as it is the most fun. 3. If you must get a premium Tier 7, the Scharnhorst is very good - I do have her by mistake - I actually meant to buy her for a friend but accidentally got her for myself and then had to buy one for him too! Don't like battleships really so don't play her.

I was in the other side of that battle - did say Hi and sent you a compliment - I did kill you though! I was in the Fiji. We looked as though we were going to win but your Fiji, who had initially seemed to be not very good suddenly started hitting everyone and dragged, with the help of TomBombadil, the whole match back. You had originally posted about it being the weekend and having come from a previously awful game, I agreed! This one was really not bad though I had expected us to win right up to the last 2 minutes!

Actually I do agree that the HE meta is not a very good addition - not a very enjoyable play style either hence my having all the RN ships but I play the Conqueror almost never. One could argue the AP only on the cruisers was also adding variety but that does d=seem quite well balanced as the ships, with the obvious exception of the Emerald (shudders) have benefits that outweigh the drawbacks.

But surely all the OP is saying is make it like all the other T10 BBs. Now I confess to not really playing BBs, though I do have a Conqueror but don't play it. But isn't part of the way the RN BBs play to do with adding variety to this arcade game? The Conqueror is a paper ship with no real base in reality which makes it less exciting for me anyway. But making the same as all the others makes it even more boring. Will be interested in seeing how the French perform.

Have to confess that I don't really mind getting damage in a situation like that as it is all part of the fog of battle. Being shot at deliberately with no enemy in sight is a completely different thing.

Don't imagine it will be given secondary armament in game!!

I suppose the problem is distinguishing the bad from the mad! I have been pink once - slightly unlucky as my salvo of torps killed an enemy BB but one missed and hit a friendly destroyer which died - my fault as my torp though. I think damage done by a pink ship should inflict no damage though except reversed on him and this should also extend his pinkness. I have been subject to deliberate team damage less than 10 times in the 8500 battles I have been in, so not really an issue for me.

Shame is not really Cossack, which had 8 4.7" guns - would be nice if we got Captain Philip Vian with her - maybe with a refrain of 'The Navy's here!' However looking forward to getting her!

I think team damage is a valid part of the game. In real life, it certainly happened and, in this arcade game, it makes you think about how your team is acting and should make you co-operate. Simply spamming torpedoes from the second line would otherwise become a valid choice. Of course there are idiots who either can't play or who are trolling but the vast majority of players are playing for enjoyment and will try to avoid this. I don't deny it is annoying but have only had a couple of incidents in last month of so.

I thought it had changed so the F keys are blocked too - blocked an annoying spammer the other day and either he stopped or it worked.

I don't really see why a minimally rebadged version of the Leander could not be made - Ajax is a direct clone for the RN and Achilles could be commonwealth clone for the New Zealand members. Exeter of course was a heavy cruiser and, only have 6 guns, I am not sure where I would put her. Would also need modelling which neither Ajax or Achilles would really need. Make them Premium and instant cash for WG!

Atlanta is made from paper, has awful shell trajectory (you can have three salvos in the air before the first lands) It also has joke torpedoes which if you are using means you are in serious trouble. It is hilarious to play but you can in one game be top of the tree and in the next instantly deleted. It is also fantastic against planes. Now if you want an OP version, look at the Flint!
