A Target at 27 km range you can even use its camo rating in a battleship to not get shot at all by you. - or do you plan on a stealth firing NC?! ) (not to mention the shell flight time, that is high enough to do taxes before impact and still evade those shots .....) -

read carefully: If it happens to you once: - Everyone that has not moved after 3 minutes cant earn a star. However if the team looses he still looses a star. So no big loss - literally because if you win you keep your star. (and yes I have been disconnected before too ... Its not like I am arguing something that wouldnt concern me too.) If you are having a bad day: - Do that a few times in a row or for a certain percentage of games played (starting with like x % of minimum 20 games to not punish players that are just having bad luck with their first 3 games or so) and you get banned for a day. (from ranked) Again I mentioned a minimum. If you insist playing 6 games in a row when you know your internet is unstable you deserve a ban. (And lets say WG fu<ks up: Then they know that their server fucked up and give a amnesty for any infringement during that time period - simple as that) Next I specifically mentioned that there should be a percentage with a minimum threshold. 3 afk games out of 6 are obviously immediately 50%. So let that % value be only counted after a minimum of at least 20 games. I think its not asked to much from people to be bothered to show up more than 50 % out of 20 times they pressed battle! ... and even then! - You get only banned for a day. If people are really that dense and insist on boting, afking or playing days with a unstable connection then, yes, ban them form the entire season. Its not like they are banned from the game. They still have co-op and still can sabotage everyones game in random .... So yeah a season long ban is after at least 4 stages of warning. How many "second chances" do people need? €: another game - and guess what? Its 4 against 5 battleships (really fun to play a cruiser I tell ya ... ) and one of our battleships is ofc afk. So after 3/4 the match has elapsed he merrily comes to live, start moving and remarks happily how (since we were in the lead be then) didnt even would have needed to hurry up taking a dump. Then he immediately proceeds to further sabotage his team by immediately suiciding against the remaining 3 enemy battleships. Luckely we won on points since the high HP pool of a battleship wouldnt allow him to throw his ship away fast enough. (Id say the more valuable part of that guys contribution to our team got flushed down his toilet!) Why did we win? Because after I killed their sole DD and ours was still alive they did enter full coward mode and I dont know ....... tried to save those precious 5-15 k repair they would have lost if their ships got further damaged and sunk? I not like one or two shell hits in ranked are already worth more than that ..... but thats how the cowards play this game. Lets recap: 1 BB less + 1 BB afk + 1 cruiser detonated (not me) is less shitty than 3 BB camping cowards accepting defeats because the craped their pants after loosing their DD. So another thing: If not enough player play other class than BB -> let them rot in the queue. Eventually they will get the massage .... or not, in which case nothing is lost anyway.

Whatever the lowest rank was to 17 now ...... like I said only 7 games since having them every game and it really saps the will to play this. Worst are the bots: Not doing anything, including moving, the whole game till they spot something close by (usually someone hoping for an easy kill on a afk ship and thus careless). Dying misably ofc with some random shots mostly hitting nothing and not responding to chat once. But yeah shooting down less than a handfull planes via AI gunners on an AI-Cleveland still nets 300+ XP ...... god helps if the AI-boat hits a single shell: With this game and its diminishing returns for good play, that can easily be as "valuable" as landing a crushing salvo on a enemy ship.

Honestly I think the most pressing issue is get rid of all the afkers and bots. I mean I only played 7 games and won 5 of them ..... but in every game there was at least one bot/afker and usually on my team. I dont try to give the impression that I have a recipe to solve all the injustice in the current system, simply because I know I dont have that recipe but getting rid of those persons is crucial. When I play I really feel like it doesnt matter what I do; I have those damn afkers and bots on my side every game anyway. It really comes down to the enemy team then also having a bot on their side, or some tremendous cowards that throw the game for them. Most simple and immediate thing: - Everyone that has not moved after 3 minutes cant earn a star. However if the team looses he still looses a star. - Do that a few times in a row or for a certain pecentage of games played (starting with like x % of minimum 20 games to not punish players that are just having bad luck with their first 3 games or so) and you get banned for a day. - Still not learning? Well, banned for the season. - Getting a second season long ban? Well no more ranked for you ever again.

People are commenting about whats been asked. Premium ships were concerned and discussed so, duh! people are talking about and commenting on the answer with lines about premium ships. I can, to a certain degree, understand that people want this thread to be sort of a news ticker, but then go ahead and ask BBV if its okay to have a "Comment on: Some interesting info from RU"-thread. If such a threads appears, I will then happily proceed to post my comments there if WG answers to a question again with another story about the ride on the cannonball. _______________ Thats the whole point. One could argue that, for example, how shitty the silver T 8 cruisers are, a health potion or some other buff is definitely needed ... but thats not the point: The point is that that Atago the $$$ ship has it, while Mogami, Hipper and New Orleans get to famine in the gutter. Tirpitz would be OK for the most part, the torpedoes is what breaks it for me .... but yeah I can live with it for the most part. Interestingly enough will be the question if the later Bismarck hull also gets torps, or if they suddenly are "not historically" enough for a planed upgrade. Same goes with Scharnhorst and Gneisenau. The thing about p2w is that you could put it into a question like: Would I ever play the other ships (aside from fun) if there would a none premium variant of it? For example: I would probably still stick to KamiR because I like the turret layout more - along with the lovely paint job, but its not horrendously overpowered compared to Mine and there are people who rightfully prefer Mine. (There, another OK premium!) But why the actual fu<k would I play the Gnevny over the Gremlin? .... and yes then there are ships that are OP as fu<k to the point of being completely broken. by themselves. And the OP-erator immediately comes to mind ..... here I agree it doesnt matter that there isnt a (worse) silver ship in the parent tree to compare to, because its broken on its own. I love how they still defend p2w-zov and try to eradicate the memory of the Mogami rape. This ship does everything Mogami did (and better, the AA on Mogami was always crap! and thats just one example), but with an double-Captain-XP advantage: First you get like 10 skill points for free which you definitely needed on Mogami, but come now built in with the OP-packet which is p2w-zov. Those points can then be distributed in other skills and pushes p2w further than Mogami could ever get: Like free Demo since AFT is not even remotely needed. Second: The XP gain. You had to work your [edited]of to get Mogami in working condition, but not with pw2-zov. No, there everything needed is built in and you can slam your 15+ pts captain in on top. and then they come with historical accuracy! Yeah like how Mogamis 155 turret traverse (in degrees/s) is like 5-6 times lower as it was irl. Ofc that pales compared to the historically accuracy of WG saying: Hey, p2w-zov is not p2w enough since its a russian premium. Those ships are never OP only "competitive" ( ® WG-New-Speak), lets buff it even more by giving it the same excellent turret rotation, but without even the need to invest any captain points. Just picking one: The same as above: 0 reason to play Omaha when you could play Murmansk in the US tree. In fact Murmansk and Omaha used to be more diverse, because you could play Omaha with AFT and B Hull: One had better Torps, the other double but shitty ones. One could pick AFT and B hull and thus keep the two backside guns. And btw take a look at those Krupp values for the T 5 Cruiser AP shells: 18 2300 15 1862 15 1772 15 2692 20 2377 I left the Names out on purpose, and probably should have done so with the diameter (rounded down) as well .... but lets see if you can spot the premium ship? Are you really surprised? Well, I am long past that. In fact with the Captain skill changes only Omaha was really hit. Murmansk lost 10 % firepower due to rof, while Omaha lost 50 % torp and ~ 21 % gun firepower due to those changes. Picked this one here since its an exception: Except there is basically no skill as important for a fight between two same class ships, and CV players are the most decisive ones in a battle. Yes I think even concealment and Last Stand are not that decisive. Honestly I DO expect that kind of behaviour by now, but thats only because now when a new prem is announced: I now immediately suspect either a (very low chance) extremely shitty prem, or (high chance) another p2w-boat. However I do wish for balanced premiums, but they are like the Zero if you play Roulette in this game ....

@ WG and this answer: Reality and Münchhausen called. One wants to know why you never acknowledge her, and the other wants to remind you that not even he would dare to tell the tale of ships like: Gremy vs Gnevny, OP-erator vs all other T 4 battleships, Indy vs Pensacola, Murmansk vs Omaha, 5 pts Saipan vs Ranger, Atago vs Mogami (or the rest of the T 8 cruiser but p2w-zov), Tirpitz vs the other T 8 BBs, Molotov with T 9 Doni Darko guns vs Budyoni, p2w-zov vs the other T 8 cruisers aside from A-potion, wallet-kawyca vs Kiev (as its closest peer) ... and call them "on par with the silver ships". Also, then there are the ships that are premium but hideously bad. Of the ships that are premium, but not op or up and bring something different to the table ......... I honestly just can think of the LoYang, which is a slightly worse Benson but with Hydro - and the Warspite. Thats quite ..... well thats not much. On the other side if I want to pick immediately a OP ship and dont want to take a long look: - ALL OF THE RUSSIAN PREMIUMS PER SE -

Remember when people (some knowingly and with intention and some unknowingly) abused a XP mission to get millions of free xp? Well even the heavens trembled when WG rushed in, in their defence to let them keep the unrightful earned free-xp. What the good old Vuk thought and said about that is even in my Sig ..... ..... but giving players some leeway to cash in their diamonds? No way!

Since when did Project R have treasure chest that you could open with your pearls? I think you confuse the EU event with the Sea event, which from my recollection did have some sort of selectable rewards. ;) .... and with Project R I didnt miss out on the KamiR just because I didnt "claim" her before the pearl goal was reached. I firmly remember getting the ship into my harbour after the 12 mio goal was reached. I am ok with not being able to earn missing diamonds, but I cant say I am happy about that, judging from the above linked news-bit apparently two days in advance, announced date of expiry.

No, since I didnt know with how much diamonds I would end up (time constraints, p2w missions and uncertainty like week 5 missions). I was aiming for Katori and Smith - but since they are (or rather: were) both expensive I wanted to keep my options; not to mention the "Its a secrete" that turned out to be ridiculously unworthy of any title whatsoever for it to be actually borderline funny. Never in the time before or during the event was mentioned that the diamonds would be completely void on the 8th of June. Ofc I never planed to spend them last minute, and I sure as hell also never planed on my Internet just dying and spending time on phone to get my ISP to check crap like the landline or send a replacement unit ... .... and the thing is: I remember the delay fest with which the event started - borderline like waiting for something to happen next to a Neutrino-Detector. BUT the lock down on the treasure vault is ofc rigid, merciless and covered by a time lock, secured by multiple redundancy units to make sure the is no delay ... -
Just telling from my perspective: Had internet troubles that started (end of May) before we reached 12 mio - and by troubles I mean no Internet at all. Never read anything that my diamonds would be void after 8th june 12:00 in the weeks that the event was running or the weeks before the event started prior to when my internet failed. Ofc I missed out on missions and additional diamonds, but they dont matter since: Now I walk away from this event truly empty handed because I didnt get to spend a single diamond. ...... so yeah pretty pissed. No, not going to raise a revolution or something, because its bad luck after alln combined with the "usual WG stuff". -> but it is so typical WT that .... - on the day the Event is supposed to start you have to raise prayers and hope that the event starts on the actually mentioned day. - "Its a secret" is complete BS. Not even something as simple as a sneak peak at the upcoming BBs? yeah ...... - the event it selves turns playing the game into hell since the things rewarded the most are botting/afking/suiciding/kill stealing/p2w. - they cant keep the treasure part of the event open for a few days/a week/a month (the longer the better obviously) for all players to claim their "earned" (some trough play, some through afk/botting etc) rewards.

I had not one but two routers die on me. (the initial replacement was defective too ...) So today finally internet again ..... sketchy and would not be workable to play online (ping is wonky, 2,4 Ghz is not workable here) but hey, its something. Ofc I did miss out on a lot of missions - like missing to do the sinking of two additional T 8 ships for 40 diamonds, or a few battleships again for 40 - but that had to be expected ... So yeah to add insult to injury I cant spent a single one of my earned diamonds ... -
Setup of the Gnevny: SA, EM + LS, Vig. Setup of the Kiev: SA, LS, Vig, AFT I use premium smoke on both of them, so SI is not an issue and 3 charges are usually enough per game for me. First the Kiev ...... there I picked AFT and I have to say: I am downright disgruntled with it; aka how I feel about it: For AP you cant stay at long ranges and it doesnt help with HE bombardment. So Demo would help a lot more with HE, but since the Kiev is such a fragile ship (12800 hp) the boost from SE would be 2800 HP or ~22 % - which is quite nice. I am seriously considering starting a new captain since AFT doesnt really help with staying alive when fighting other destroyers (OP p2w Blys, US DDs or hell even multiple IJN DDs) or running interference against the enemy fleet during the game. (the old captain can can maybe one day go on the Tashkent - that ship might get more use out of the range since its bigger and has less range to begin with) __________________ second case is the Gnevny: Here SE is far weaker with a base of 13900 and a bonus of only 2000 hp - 14 %. On the other hand a SE Gnvevny would still end up with more HP than a SE Kiev ...... which also sounds nice. AFT ..... meh, burned myself on the Kiev already. Demo: Since the above two are kinda meh I am leaning towards demo, since when its to dangerous to get close for AP (or the angle is unfavourable), you are relegated to spam HE anyway.

The reason for that is that the rewards are not linear: - hit a few shells and just die, or hide for the entire match and land some stray long range shells -> 500 xp with ease. - do a decent Game 1600 xp - Kraken and basically kill everything 2400 xp. - the above + 3 caps 3000 xp. So when you see one of those Oxygen-thieves with 500 XP while you have, lets say, 1500 then you did _FAR_ better than only the three times of their score would suggest. ...... and btw I had today with you a 128 k damage game in the North Calli ....... lost 12k credits.

Except that our team was not really lending a hand when I pleaded for help (except that Atago, who understandably played cautiously). Not trying to be cocky, but I think if I had died right there, we would have lost. Ofc I tried to: , but alas I had to shoot a lot of targets and I couldnt get the kill on the 72, who killed my pet-Cruiser. ^^ Also, its not like I didnt make that escape with 3 freaking hp around the island, just to repair and turn into attack position again to cover our cap, theirs, and the middle at the same time. (3 hp escape -> all skill, no luck ) Anyway cheers to our worthy adversary. -

Only realised that there was a fellow Forumite on the team at the very end. Shout out to our Sky Plague CV driver T_H_O_R who played an excellent game (to be honest our team didnt urge team killing - so no complaints there). (I cramped to every AA available ... pure fear) -

Honestly I would rather have it al in one place - but thats just me ofc. What we (and with that I mean mostly you, the other STs and the occasional redshirt) could do is make a whole summery with al the facet of "the issue" and with all the current state. I am at least by now not entirely sure which aspects of this mess is regarded as having issues, being looked at and finally maybe getting a re-work. So far: SA Icon doesnt tell you are in fact spotted, only "detection" -> potential rework incoming to do the afore mentioned. 3 seconds -> working as intended. offensive smoke nerf -> ? visible inside smoke -> under evaluation? by STs? or are also devs looking into it? ........ that sort of summery. -

I agree, I like that map as well. Ofc a new meta has yet to develop for it and that could make me hate it .... but lets hope for the best.

aside from running into sky plague way to often, I rather be in a Amagi in a game with 5 shimas than with North Callie in a game with two sky plagues. ... but yeah tells a lot about the CV self-conception: "spot and kill" and not "spot for the team to kill", but yeah I know: CV vs BB - kill kill kill - I am DA COUNTER and I dont want to loose any planes doing so. CV vs CA - I need my damage, doesnt matter all of a sudden if he is my counter. I should loose only use one token plane and that AFTER the drop. Doesnt matter that I can still land torps with aa barrage on, the cruiser cant repair after all and has to give up hydro to do it. The important part for the CV is only the divebombers that set him on fire and take of tremendous amounts of health away on their own. Bonus points if the cruiser doesnt have barrage because its the dream of every damage whore come true. CV vs DD - ofc there should be no way a DD could evade a drop from a good player - CV need to feast on their "supposedly" other counter. CV vs CV - suddenly WASD (and the "insane" AA is not strong enough that you can survive a CV attack even with fighter squads at your disposal - if only you could trade that fighter squad for a float plane then that defensive fire that is many times as long as that from a cruiser wouldnt be needed. I mean its not like the only thing that can stop a CV is another CV, thats totally not the reason they work fine in team battles, because there is much more unlikely noob vs pro battles and the CV is actually trying to help his team instead of constant damage whoring. As well as having WG forced to have amount and tiers mirrored - totally coincidence and not telling anybody! Hard cap or at least balanced numbers of DD? Who needs that? More and better BBs on the enemy team? Here have some better cruisers to "counter" them. CVs? totally not overpowered to have them be matched all the times, out of desparation. Go watch your own videos of the "good old times of properly balanced AA" : flying directly over and undamaged North Callie, to get to a undamaged T 10 CV that also has a undamaged T10 Montana nearby - oneshot. Attack force: 2 squads of TBs, and you lost 1 plane before the drop. Total looses I think 6 planes for a T 10 carrier out of a reserve of 130 ..... damn I think you got the bad end of the deal: loosing 6 planes out of 130 to oneshot another T 10? thats a blow! After killing the entire enemy team yourself you might actually get your plane reserves down to half. So yeah I guess your awesome "teamplay" of 0 zero [edited]given about AA totally outweighed the combined AA of 3 ships that stayed close together to survive the attack. I guess if not all the team forms one big blop of scared ships around their own carrier, its not really "teamplay" If by chance you find some sarcasm you can keep it.
