I can understand someone wanting to get something they missed - and he is NOT asking for handouts from what I read. Its different "ask" "GIEV NAOW!" - or ask for a second chance. If they ships can be _earned_ at a second time in the future - why not? If Wargaming has any brain they simple will pull out an old VC 20/C 64 and put the good old IF, AND, OR, ELSE to good use. What I mean with that, is that either you can catch up in terms of a missed ship(s) OR you can get a different reward (maybe for a different mission with a different difficulty and goal altogether) that doesnt have to be another ARP ship. How about some Upgrade mods for the depot? Credits? Flags? A low tier premium even (thinking Aurora or Mikasa, that kind of range) ..........

Some might have missed this from the PT: So progress is there. Slow, but there. Half a year ago we would have had WG just moving along, brushing the feedback aside and not giving a single fu<k. Also "maim calibre" amuses me a lot for a simple typo - maybe because of the truth that lies within if you think of a solid multi-citadel-salvo.

I do agree there is punishment needed for all the afkers and bots; however basing that on the votes of invertebrates .... . 'nuff said.

Which forum members have you seen in random battles?

Met fellow forumite Architekton and his division buddy in co-op. (Sorry I forgot the name, I blame it on the soccer game on the side ^^) Naturally, we won the game ; something that couldnt be said about the team I was rooting for in the match on the side ...... This is actually only the second forumite I met in co-op (I think I remember meeting Admiral Noodle). -
Can we have US ships on discount for 4th of July?
havaduck replied to Agantas's topic in General Discussion
hopefully not; I could be tempted to sell dont-buy-one to get that sexy beast of ship-pr0n as well ....... and I desperately need reserves for when the German-ship-pr0n arrives. -
And when its multipoint domination and you are behind on points, the french-DD is called -> contre la montre. French BBs -> devant blinde and how they cowards will play them: par derriere equipe blinde. French cruiser - as all the other citadeled-from-all-angles-cruisers: toujours dedans aux chateau. CVs would be ofc called: cest de bonne guerre! Sorry couldnt resist to use some barely ever used and painfully acquired school-french in the most engrish way possible.

A heretic that doesnt concede the glory that is New York, and on top is driving Sky-Plague doesnt deserve otherwise. (sorry for the OT, had to banter AO a little bit. ;) ) -
How to have the mortar-like ballistic curve?
havaduck replied to AstreTunes's topic in General Discussion
I experienced that myself a long time ago. Its a combination of lag and constant partial disconnect/client resync. The reason for the mortar like curve is that you are not where you think you are, and you client is simply drawing a curve between your "supposed" position and the shell impact points told by the server. In my case I fired right next to my ship - much closer than actually possible with a Cleveland. Shells were oddly slow and looked generally like Spaghetti. Now imagine this: The shells flying and the guns pointing are right next to your ship ...... but the shell impacts are then all over the screen. It looked ridiculous. Something like 200 m disperion for 10 m range shot. -

Finished the T 7+ damage mission for the APR ship captain with Nagato today - and it was glorious! (90 k avg damage although I didnt really play recently, gotta love Nagato ) and of those this was the best; not only by result but how close victory and defeat were and thus how tense it was. -
Oh new ribbons, how nice! ........ oh well ... ... thats what mods are for. The additional information is very welcome but the icons themselves ...... ugh. Well there is probably going to be a mod that combines the old icons + the newly introduced types (in the same design pattern as the old ones) + the additional information; and thats a good thing or else (judging not only from my opinion but the thread in general) the feedback would be like this : Just a little teasing. I wonder if its something like duckling-imprinting but I seriously hate those new icons just from the first look ....... €: I wonder if HE shells that failed to penetrate, or rather exploded on armor to thick for the blast to penetrate, are countered as "non-penetration". Common sense would tell me yes, playing WG games, on the other hand, casts a lot of doubt on what common sense is telling me....

The only thing I noticed is a (somewhat sharp) increase in CPU usage (mostly at match begin, but I could be biased since that is the time I actually do have time to look^^), but well distributed over all cores. Still not running into a bottleneck on my PC, but others might get CPU-limited. Might try to disable all the crap thats mostly putting load on CPU. And start with that god-awefull cheat-AA and postcrap - if you want a blur filter that doesnt really help against Aliasing, then just smear Vaseline over your monitor ......

I dont have that scale of problems but some less serious but continuous version of it: Randomly a part of the UI becomes stuck! Usually at some point, when I curse enough, it starts working again. - transfering a captain? impossibru, but everything else _might_ work. - switching ships? impossibru, and with it most other stuff/buttons will cease to do anything at all .. - starting a game? impossibru, but usually I can _still_ appoint someone else as a division leader and he can then press that battle-button ... - randomly some specific part might cease working, like your flags and consumables stuff, or hell even the Mission-Overview. Meanwhile, like in your vid, the rest still works fine. Has nothing to do with mods as I had it with a vanilla client too. Its not tied to a specific version as I cant remember a time without having it from time to time ...... Sry cant help you more, but tell you, that this stuff is sorta "normal" albeit annoying as fu<k.

Not (entirely) true, I can see the Pinkies even on the enemy team so sometimes they come with a red-color-drench instead of green. (dunno if its the combination of team-panels and the auto-spy mod that I use for them, but like I said: I see enemy Pinkies). *hums to the melody of: Riders of the Storm* There's a (team)killer on our sideHis brain is squirmin' like a toadTake it very very slowLet the others playIf you get infront of this manYour Sweet ship will die(team)Killer on the sea, yeah /*humming* Man somebody should really do a cover of that song for a ATSF-style video, .... Anyway fair seas, and dont get in front of the Pinkie-Rider on your team ....

Mate look at a stopwatch and focus on the the 100th split second part - do you see it changing regularly? Good, because 20 fps are on average 0,05 or 5x times the one hundred part of a split second per frame. Now lets say you have tripple buffering on then you only see the picture from that has been rendered 1,5 tenth of a second ago (diregarding further lag sources such as the monitor that also needs time to display stuff). Now lets mention that seeing things on a fixed point and seeing things (or a complete world reference frame) in fluid motion is a different matter. (normal) People can recognise motion up to 1 ms, and 20 fps is 50 _!_ times above that. Really trained individuals can even recognise exactly WHAT they saw in that time frame. Combat-Pilots for example are able to tell the type of a plane that appeared for such a short time window. Now I dont say that you cant play the game with 20 fps (thats an entirely different matter), but I strongly believe that anybody who is unable to tell the difference between 20 and 60 fps should not be allowed to hold any kind of drivers license because even at his best he has strong deficits in his ability of perception and reaction and is therefore a danger to others and to himself .....

1. (small calibre) HE is crap in this game. 2. BBs punish cruiser unbelievably hard. A Nürnberg can die to two fu<king shells from a same tier Battleship. 3. I can explain it with the reality and history? 4. and with game balance? 5. read up on the armor scheme of battleships and discover where those 400 mm armor is and where absolutely no armor, aka 12-25-32 mm is. 6. HE shells hitting that dont pen do absolutely no damage, can only set fires. 7. On average a Fire will do around ~ 1k damage for a player setting that fire (there are enough cases of 0-multiple k fires so again, _on average_!) 8. You should only repair when two or more fires are raging. 9. and you can fully repair the third fire (and fire damage in general) so only the fourth (!) fire (in a short perioud of time) is an actual threat!. 10. You can get premium heal, premium damage control, flags and module upgrade to both lower fire chance and fire duration - try getting some ultra-premium hellfire shells in this game ..... 11. You are not that bad of a player, so be honest and look at you own stats -> somehow your cruiser dont burn enemy battleships to a crispy hulk with ease ....

Aotearas and me met our ST ALUCARD1476 in a lovely painted Arizona. He fought valiantly till he got overwhelmed, but not in vain at least: We won by capping while having them on the run anyway. -
Holy crap! So far I have been only test driving Hermelin and Emden in co-op (wise choice for my copy-paste Aslan stuff doesnt let me join a game) and both sound now like a fu<king battery on a 5.1 - even with their puny guns. I hope for a even more pleasant surprise when I fire BB main armament ....
-
hm seems only some ships are redone ...... or wth I truly dunno. I played Hermelin, Orlan, Emden and Mogami after the patch. First three are sounding fu<king great ..... Mogami? I honestly dont hear a difference. o_O

Who was the "wise" guy that made the new upgrades in the last patch?
havaduck replied to Anthoniusii's topic in Archive
Yep gotta love the depletion. I remember on ocassion: Couldnt do any damage with HE, torped -> 2 or 3 hitting the bow, no damage. tried AP -> bounced, no damage. died ofc because at some point the invincible destroyer will hit you with his torps. Yes it has to be this big! -
F: Russian premium T4 carrier planes.

... and thats if you are lucky! With that lovely bug that gets you a citadel + regular pen or a regular pen + overpen you might actually loose 15 k easily (depends on the gun obviously) Now which is the most fraglie ship(class) in the entire game? Wrong not a destroyer (those are fortresses with at least tripple effective hp since they dont get citadelled). Without detonations a cruiser like the Nürnberg can, because of this lovely bug, die to just 2 shells from a same tier enemy ship. -
Dunno, WG mentioned enhancement on surround sound systems (at that time for upcomming patches) - so if you listen via stereo or headphones the difference might not really be noticeable. For me it was like: BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM *turns volume down* ......... ah screw it! *turns volume up again*

I usually dont care, but if I read something "interesting" (and thats not only sarcastic, eg it could be even a seemingly strange tactic) I take a look. I dont care for the exact numbers (since there is much bollocks around them) but more of a general direction: - has no clue what he is talking about. - maybe has a valid point. -

Pure gold there! Tirpitz for Sniper-med0l !!!!111 And some context (random picks): 105 games in Clevland, 16k average damage. 62 games in Omaha, 11k average damage. 46 games in Pensa, 10,5k damage. Yeah man! Those cruisers are truly op as fu<k, always hitting, always doing massive damage ...... if only they could fire their guns more than 5 times a match before the amunition is out ..... it seems. -

Getting out Mogami for the first time in a long time (aside from co-op) and not immediately thinking of new curse words to bestow upon WG. The reduced debuff of the traverse module made me at least try it: Before you HAD to have accuracy installed - for those 15 + km shots, but since thats impossible anyway -> why not roll with the traverse mod? I fought a long 1 on 1 against that enemy Cleveland at our cap. Ofc no one else could be bothered to shoot at him and help me defend the cap, but judging from his xp, I got a lot more damage into him than he scored on me. Ofc you still get citadeled through your a$$ like always, and 28 HE hits on a Amagi do a whoping 848 damage ( ) but being able to field Mogami and not immediately regret it is a achievement by itself.
