    Only when its undamaged by He spam fully AA speced, and even then gets bombed, torpedoed, flooded, burned by doing so - hardly a good trade. Next thing that happens is that after 1 minute past the CV is back with shiny new planes from his bottomless hanger, while the NC has no AA, and might still be flooding/burning. Fact. I was talking of the high tier cvs and those already have it. You dont see DD drivers demanding to get smoke, because they already have it either, do you? Against an undamaged counter ship? Sure do. If you are stupid enough to pick a fight with a full hp battleship in a cruiser you pay for it. And just like with a battleship, you dont actually need to pick that fight because being in range (which is the whole map incidently for a CV) is enough. If you think you need to meele circle a DD in your battleship you pay for it. Its only the CVs that demand a free pass on being to able to rape absolutely everything. Have the CVs play a game of spot, cap defense, depleting the enemies CV plane reserves and so on - early on. Then when a ship/a group of ships is HE damaged they can risk going even for no-longer-AA strong ships. OFC the CV then has to share the reward for the torp attack with those ships spamming said HE shells in order to reduce the AA-capabilitys. This as a whole would automatically reward much more team play instead of damage whoring and must kill them all.# €: Its pretty telling that a cruiser should burn/flood/sink and consider himself lucky for shooting down 10 planes with "crazy-aa" ...... but for a CV shooting down planes ....... the reward is suddenly measly, poor, despicable! I mean you gotta do damage and get those shiny big rewards dont you (in a CV ofc, rest is only food and should die in the gutter)? Right now most CV (like I said I met others too) players view the rest of the team as sort of a disposable passive isolation sheet, against the enemy cv and occasionally the lone blockade runner. The reason for that is that they cant oppose the enemy CV in earnest. The teams sole purpose is reduced to generate the amount of delaying action needed for them in order to finish operation rape + pillage. In Teambattles they are MUCH more balanced (aside from p2w like 5 pt. air-sup.) because you have all the players easily co-ordinated and focused on a few clearly defined objectives; and even there they are far from irrelevant and actually still critical to winning a game. Dont forget the never ending cornucopia as a T 10 credit- and captain-training-printing press! Thats what offended WG and got them going, because you can lame around all you want, as long as you pay for it ofc.

    1. I expect him to pay hard if he goes for his counter. You do not expect a Gnevny openly torpedo-rushing a Cleveland, or a Cleveland rushing a battleship to get off a good trade and survive, do you? 2. Like I said countless time: Give CV something else to do than pure and only damage whoring and reward them for that. A good IJN DD captain will light up, with his supperior camo, a enemy gun DD and if everything goes right: said gun dds dies, and our IJN DD captain gets free reign to cap or torp at leisure. A good CV captain spotting DDs, incoming torpwalls, provind air cover and all that ...... gets absolutely nothing out of it, besides maybe a better winrate. And thats just plain wrong. Its to the point that when I thank and compliment a CV driver (YES!, that happens too - occasionally) they are reacting surprised since they are accustomed to not receive any gratitude at all ........ just like from the reward system. and they in turn can get bombed, either in tandem or at once by even two cv at the same time and we are back at having 4+ ships having to coordinate, and forming a protective ring (which makes them a big target for torps and everything else), only for 2 cvs having to either simply go elswewhere (thats an option too you know? you dont have to kill everything .... or you shouldnt be able to - in order to maintain proper balance) or "cordinate" by lol-stomping all over that effort put up by the ships by relentless attack waves because the AA is either so shitty or the reserves so ludicrously big. Hell the cooldown on definsive fire (if you have it in the first place, its not like 3 + 4+ 5 can meet CV, but are shi7-out-of-luck in that regard) is so long that the CV is back for his 3rd or 4th strike when you have it available again. Not even mentioning what the bombs to to your AA guns ..... after the first strike all targets hit are defenceless anyway. Its to the point where AA is so shitty that team play actually doesnt matter. I parked my Kuma under a Langly vs Langly dogfight - where my allied Langly unfortunately lost the first plane. Guess how much the "crazy" AA did? Nothing. 0. Nada. The enemy langlely won the fight 5:2 or 5:3 and shot down my float fighter on top while not giving a rats a$$ about shitty cruiser AA. O noes! I lost 50 % of my plane reserves in vain! By carrier standard at least half the enemy team should have died for that ........ huddled together in fear ofc. I am really curious to hear from the carrier faction about which ship class should actually stand up to them and inflicting heavy losses and only taking minor, if at all damage if they go for them in a 1 vs 1 - and I remind you that a cv can go anywhere on the maps crazy fast if his planes, which are the best spotters in the game, actually discover such a ship. They only thing in that regard, I remember thoroughly, is that apparantly wasd hax, crazy high tier aa and limited reserves, moving with the fleet, cruiser with defensive fire providing support and other ships with "crazy high tier aa", being stealthy as fu<k and being fast as fu<k (to keep up with the fleet) - where all so useless that (high tier) CV NEEDED to have a freaking 2 minutes defensive fire ON TOP of having _commendable_ fighter squads with barrage ability. Sounds legit.

    How about forcing you to go in circles for minutes, and that only because its a stupid bot AI? and not dropping? and using stock planes? and using only one squad? 18:02 player 1 (1 squad alone of probably stock planes from a same tier carrier) enters the AA aura of his supposed COUNTER, with fully intact AA and the fighterplane up. 17:50 player 1 is 1,4 km form the ship, and circles well inside 2 km so all the fu<king aa guns are firing. 17:27 a plane dies. .... Imba! crazy AA! must feed! 17:02 another plane dies. Omg cv unplayable ..... only had over a minute now to land torps. While the poor cruiser turrets cant even track a target to return fire and gets shot for free. 16:48 - a wild NY appears and shoots down a plane, probably saving us another 30 seconds in the end of merry go round + getting shot at for free. 16:37: the last plane goes down. So thats only 2 minutes (including starting to turn when you spot the incoming strike), 2:30 even if that NY didnt score a hit, of merry go round. And all that is only possible because its a stupid fu<king bot AI not dropping and using only 1 squad of stock planes ...... against the supposed counter. Counter my a$$. 15 minutes of continuous undamaged AA and fighter plane fire from his supposed counter to deplete his reserves? Heavens forbid if the CV driver isnt a bot and actually attacks, and with all of his planes, and leaves the AA aura after just 15 seconds. Make him higher tier and you cant even shoot down that token 1/50th of his reserves on the way out. Also I love how the CV player never had the idea of dropping further from an AA strong sthip so not every single AA gun will open up on them ...... but oh then the enemy ship has a chance of evading at least some of the torpedoes, that even the most agile dds cant outmaneuvre because they get crossdroped from so close they can practically touch the planes. In a CV you only have 3 enemies: 1. The stupid and often unresponsive interface more often than not screwing things up (and I am there for every CV player that this crap should be fixed asap). 2. The enemy CV(s). 3. being bottom tier in a high tier dominated game (which is more than compensated for being top tier wolf with ridiculous high plane hp and reserves, against a herd of tied down sheeps) </> End of list. I also do support the notion of carrier being punished to hard by being -2 bottom tier and more than already broken OP by being +2 top tier. Thus remove the T 10 CVs and give the rest a + 1/ -1 mm. Also this: Ryujo vs NC is a much fairer fight then Hiryu against Kongo because the CV can actually wait for the HE spam to deplete AA and strike something else in the mean time, whilst the Kongo NEVER has any chance of shooting down the attacker sufficiently against planes just overtaking him and dropping next to the hull, only to be back in another minute in case he miraculously survives.

    There was a Q&A (but I donnu if it was meant to be RU-server only) in which they mentioned they would do something for the 1st birthday of WoWs. Intermission: Yeah remember that LAUNCH PARTY, cutting everyones rug - which marked the end of the OBT-phase? /Intermission. Anyway, said Q&A told they would have something planed especially to piss off ... for the veterans of the game -> Could it have something to do with those boxes ...... Could some1 explain it with their own words to give a subjective reflection of the matter as well? I dont care for propagande websites that mention a chance of getting something desireable; while in reality that chance is 1 or 2 times over the observable age of the universe. Also important would be IF said loot-crate-purchasing would create another field of p2w; we already have OP-p2w-premiums with double-preferential MM, running around with 18 pts captains and people complaining they cant earn further captain-points ......
  6. Trust me they are not just single ones, its just that when you division up at least 3 spots are not taken by bots, afkers, WG accounts, idiots, cowards. How about this one: In one of the BB slugfests we (our division) traded one of our battleships for around 3 enemy ships .... and yet we barely (!) won. and that single loss? afk player, WG-account without a single hit the whole game, and a team "to seal the deal". yeah ... Trust me I know the drill, esp on weekends with bonus xp. Thats the reason divisioning up is so much fun: Not only do you get somone nice to share the bliss of a devastating salvo/salt of rng-missed salvo, no, it also keeps you from immediately rage quiting because of the abysmal disgraces to humanity unfolding before your eyes no matter the tier. Ofc it goes in the opposite direction as well: Enemy outnumbers us nearly 2:1 on this flank. Put a 10 k salvo into a Amagi (lucky bastard no citadel) and a 20 k salvo into a Atlanta (how is that even _possible_ whithout a citadel?) and they all crap their pants and run. They could have easily won this if they had at least tried to fight us ....... There was this Iowa: Top tier BB and ofc camping waaaaaaay back, watching his teammates die. Now he surely preserved his hp for something important? Like I said: The battle didnt get any easier after he watched his ally Colorado die (because Iowa + Colorado + Amagi could have won this by putting up a fight); but to see a top tier BB running out of "map/ocean" in not only one BUT TWO DIRECTIONS ( )is sure bound to be an impressive sight. I can tell you one thing: If I had been in that "red-team" the Iowa certainly would have received enough flame from me to last for a good while.

    @ OP: Yeah a humorous post that made me smile, because we all have been there. ^^ Fixed. Honestly this shi7 keeps steering me into islands when a patch turns it on again by default, or if I forget to disable it because of playing on the PTS.

There was at least one game where our radar cruiser where such tremendous idiots ..... + another Ibuki that just tried his best to loose, but alas we still won; but I digress: This one just took the cake: First off that was this top tier BB who was giving a Colo at close range a broadside while shooting back with HE ....... yeah T 8 .... the lucky fu<k undesirably survived that engagement despite at least a double citadel because the Colo couldnt ram him (he totally deserved that ram). In the same game: Not that our destroyers where particular useful in that match up to this point anyway (enemy got all 3 caps, just as a indication ....) but ... even after being told what to do and clearly having the sole surviving enemy cruiser spotted .... the caps are still LAVA!!!11111: At least he listens to the chat, after I nearly wanted to claw my eyes out because of the abysmal shamefur dispray. And now he actually rushes towards the Myoko like hes on a Killing Spree! Wth is wrong with those people? Literally the last tick pushed us over in points when the clock was already showing 00:00 and we won ...... despite the best effort of our Farragut to throw the game. I mean honestly wtf. If you literally need written instructions (Jingles has a nice ramble on written instructions + a flashlight ... and so on ) on absolutely everything that should be common sense even for a elementary school pupil (like how to take the shortest route) I dont even recommend co-op; I rather recommend that:

    Amagi earning too little credits?

    Its not "recently". Usually you get base xp x 100 = credits - roughly ofc. In this case I think I can explain it: capping yields a lot of xp, but not so much credits. Damage is "irrelevant", its more about kiling roughly 2+ ships; and then there are the non-linear rewards for doing well. Ofc Amagi probably has a modificator to grant less yield for doing x - just like POS like Montana or York get a modificator that makes them look like they are competitive. So my hunch would be that 150 k comes from the damage to those ships and the rest from the caps, looks a little bit low I agree - but nothing I didnt get to see for myself on the result screen too.

They sort of did that with the co-op battle missions on PTS, and I can retell my experience from there: Since the reward in this games are not linear - intermission (on a win, without capping, and base xp) - - hurl your [edited]200 m, nothing further required - 43 xp. - hit an enemy - 400 xp - hit an enemy more than once - 400 - 800 xp - pull your own weight - 1k - 1,3k xp - carry - 1,3 - 2k xp - give birth to your own colon due to carrying so hard (Hernia laturalis? ) - 2k - 2,5k xp - go on a rampage and kill everything in a shitty cruiser ship 2,5k - 3499 xp - do the GNB 3,5 k xp challenge without p2w by only base xp. /intermission - you have to achieve increasingly more for smaller and smaller rewards. So yeah while there IS more to kill in co-op, if you increase the number of ships, you are not necessarily able to do it. Even then the additional rewards for doing so drop down to next to nothing. Great co-op game? lets say 500 xp. Double that? trolololo 650 xp. Not every PvP only player is an idiot, thankfully. As usual the solution has to be to nag at WG until the finally get the message. Now, nobody expects a full fledge and working overhaul of the game mode out of nowhere and yesterday, BUT - small QoL improvement that are really easy (like no more teamkilling from bots on your team) , and since a full year of nothing passed rather yesterday-ish. - missions that can be done in co-op only or as well (like I said 2k MB hits in pvp, 4k in co-op ..... easily done). - difficulty settings.
  14. You get there detonated too, from the same shitty destroyer guns _missing_ your ship, its not any more "fun" than in pvp, you still gotta pay full repair, while getting reduced rewards anyway. I can see why the other flags are un-earnable in co-op, but this one most definitely should be.
  15. @ Kaly: The thing with flags ist that I could probably jump in something like Clemson and after lets say 10 games I am gonna get my kraken. So I do understand why, in the current state of the game, flags are unearnable in co-op. Ofc if one day different difficulty-settings and missions, and all that stuff get implemented ....... yeah, but the key words here are: one day. Right now after one year, absolutely nothing has been done in terms of co-op. So how about some QoL Improvments? - How about some flags if you detonate, thats not an outrageous claim. - Or how about no friendly fire from bots on your team! Especially that point is always pissing me off, the "friendly bots" teamkill without mercy. Yeah, I know thats super-realistic and just mimics the reality in random , but honestly wtf. I understand them being unable to deliver and adequate AI that, for the most part, wouldnt teamkill, but then again: turn the fu<king friendly fire off! I mean what are you supposed to do with those merciless teamkilling bots? Report them for bot? Recently I ran into a Yamoto in co-op ....... now thats a rare sight if you are not on the PTS. Just out of curiosity I looked up his Acc to determinate wheter it was an case of "accidental-co-op" or not. Turns out said players has a bunch of premiums ships including several T 8, high tier silver ships and 3-4 k game played in co-op. Players like that are "worth" several hundred € to WG, but apparently they and the co-op gamemod itself deserve a level of attention ...... how to put it? If TB, ranked and random are Asia, US and RU - then co-op is definitely the "EU-Server" amongst game mods.

    I remember that it took them nearly a year for Furutaka (and thats only counting from OBT, its not like this ship was a gem ..... ever). Also remember the release of the german-no-engine-cruisers (amongst other BS like York turrets and HE shells ofc)? Remember when internal testing probably showed them the BS they were heading to? Remember when Supertesters (as stated in the forum post release) used to tell them again what exactly was wrong and needed buffing? Remember when the Youtubers and other people given early access were echoing the same message AGAIN? Remember when WG threw all that info and feedback in the wind just went on with their BS? Remember that Nürnberg B-hull still sits to high in the water? Remember the countless ocassions when WG only came to their senses after a crapstorm already gathered? <- This guy, and I still do. ;)
  17. Yes now I get it. ^^ Co-op only stuff is certainly possible ... but that probably reserved for a already evolved co-op-enviroment. What we have now is not even a active construction site ... Also you know WG ..... they are always afraid of overburden and confuse their customers - not that I agree - and therefore will probably not include anything that could confuse .... "anybody". €: This is the auto-saved post from before the forum went down.

That was on the PT and therefore doesnt count. ;) (If WG thinks otherwise I will buy a Atago on the PT, and lets see then if PT counts too again ^^) They shot more accurate for a week or so .... but some people found the new difficulty way to steep. Nothing wrong with that since its supposed to be the learning arena too, but WG hasnt figured out the innovation called "difficulty settings" from the 199x. Before that you could or couldnt stand a chance in vidoegames - completely polar. Hell I would do it even without increased rewards as long as the repair costs arent killing me. Yeah that sums it up perfectly. ;) I especially hate this part: You have to search very long and hard until you find something in terms of missions that are doable or were doable in the past in co-op. I mean wth? I need a T 7 ship for that Myoko anyway, and with the rewards I am sure as hell NOT getting rich. (No complaints either, but its not like WG hast to be afraid of a one-click-credit mine there) Further they cant do something as simple as only counting 50 % of the mission requirements from co-op. So in total 6k instead of 3k main battery hits? Its really not rocket science ....... Not sure if I understood that correctly: Signalflags are used and consumed in co-op - its only the trainingroom in which they dont get consumed. Account boosters aka Premium time are also working in co-op (and I should know ^^).
  19. @ AO: Funny thing, the answer that immediately sprung to my head had also the very nice attitude and a flagpole in it. ^^ Its probably the old story. We here on EU = not important. co-op = not important, although I am surprised since supposedly 40 % of all games played are co-op games. Then there is that certain competitor to that certain other WG game where co-op even seems to be the main feature, that has left pvp in the dust. You would think that by now we would get/have by now at least some QoL improvements? Honestly its been a year by now since OBT, and I cant name a single improvement co-op-specific .....

    Brand new and really bad

    I would even say Aiming guides are useless "now". Low tiers require a different aiming technique as T4+ anyway (imho) as arcs, distances, speeds and ship sizes change vastly early on. My recommendation would be to simply jump with those T 1-3 into co-op battles. See what you like to play and enjoy ....... and then go try (even crazy) stuff with those things, so you know what they can and cant do. Feel free to ask anything you encountered and dont understand on the forum. You learn the aim on the way - at least I did and am still to this very day. One thing that imho helped me do the trainsition form he spamming scrub to an AP user. You should seek close encounters (preferably not with the whole enemy bot-team, only 1-3 at a time) and then try those citadels-shots on the bots. The T 1 ships are perfect for that as they have powerful guns but are not too heavily armored. Close encounters also help you anticipating torps and dealing with their evasion while shooting those DDs up - if you can do it on low tiers you can do it on higher ones too. Dont worry if you get blown to bits - T 1 ships are free of charge in terms of repair and even up to T5 its ridiculous cheap. Oh and dont buy any premiums yet, especially high tiers. If you got a Diana (T2) or something like that, feel free to use it, but dont run of and get yourself a Tirpitz/Atago/whatever ........ yet.
  21. From yesterday: Yeah I know its co-op ...... and T1 ....... but the real achievement was this: 2 players hiding. I can already see them hiding behind an island and waiting for the enemy 3 ships to engage me (because you know 3 vs 3 scary! ). Even after the bots opned up they are not moving away from hugging their waifu-island, so they can do the clean up when I damaged several ships. Its co-op so they get a pass, but they are still here to learn , so I get even closer and sink those 3 bot-ships. They werent in a hurry before, but as the last ship is bleeding hp fast, they are certainly in a hurry now. With those 3 ships dead they have now nothing to shoot and I am still closer to any enemy ship (Quelle surprise!) and I am able to kill anything before get to shoot it. Didnt get that 6th kill, but still, I wish the xp denial (for "certain player types") was that easy in pvp and higher tier co-op.

    I do concure very much with this. Higher entry fee in general, that you need to earn back! coupled with somewhat higher rewards. But I am not buying this "its all about the repair cost". A lot of the invertebrate of this game have only mastered the "ways" of cowardice, camping, parasiting and a$$sniffing while buying going up the tiers, an they practice those "tactics" throughout ANY TIER. Look at this picture from the test server: You wanna know what happened? It was defence on Estuary. I went south and sunk two ships. In that time the enemy sunk 1 ship each north and south ...... and we were being caped .... already . I raced north again with engine boost and pleaded with them to get out of the island and decap, I just didnt have the range on Mahan to fire on them, yet, for ofc, no one was spotting as they were busy playing ... "with themselves" (should be forum appropriate) behind islands. Then I would take over the decaping and since I am in a DD and its against AI the AI WOULD FOCUS ME, AND ONLY ME, THE FU<K DOWN! While my teammate could, theoretically if they would haul their asses from behind the island, take their sweet time and shoot the AI that is solely focusing on the DD. But nope cant have that, bot ships are way to scary and so the enemy bot were able to cap us ...... So guys, bearing in mind that this is testserver, tell me! - are there any [edited]repair costs judging from the fact that you get several 100s of millions creds and the server is up for like 4 days? - are there any stats to "be ruined"? - is there anything to be gained from this cowardice? - remember for most people its about to test out new ships, so you want xp fast. Every damn shell landed IS PURE XP, esp if its decaping .... but nope to scary. High tier matches in general also need AI controlled submarines! From the beginning of the match they should with (historical slow submerged) speed start to encroach on the map boarders and send infinite waves of torpedoes after every border hugger, spawn camper and bot/afker. Want to be save from the subs? Go try the caps or the enemy base, and you wont get shot at by those.
