  2. Buff for the Prince Eugen since its not "unique" and "fun" enough. Twice the HP, citadel that is depleted after taking 100 damage. Every other additional damage to sections that are not the citadel will instead be transfered to a Mogami (if present in the game) since that ship didnt receive a nerf in over one month; they gotta do something about that!

  5. I need to do some serious bitching today. I know it helps or else I would choke on my bile and probably go into cardiac arrest. First I thought, I gonna use this pic: Fun game. Played co-op (dont get confused, its still a pvp-battle. I just use the term) with a Omaha, König and Belfast. To bad that god damn p2w boat doesnt get torps on top of erverything else, isnt it? Then maybe this game? Summery isnt that remarkable but its good damage. Had 50 % hp before I did start to fight another BB in the Cyclone. Had 66 % HP after the other BB was dead. ........... and now for the main event some backround info. I CANT GOD DAMN WIN ON T8! ..... Well that was shorter than I thought; yet astonishingly precise. I got precisely 5 wins for the Takao-Mission (as of now) and I already see me failing it. (Yeah I know, being the lowly scrub I am, I should deffo go back to co-op .....) Oh and I bitched a lot how I hate the Amagi since I cant hit the broadside of a barn from the inside with it ........ Now that I got everyones attention, feast your eyes on this: Yep thats right: Our division (for which I am glad they are still able to stand my bitching in TS; and for carrying my [edited]around) got 8 kills wich are all but 2 of the total kills of our team. Yeah ...... and its not like we were kill stealing either, now were we? Rest of the trainwreck-footage screens: So yeah I can go co-op against them all I want ....... but I am not allowed to win, it seems. Still ..... shooting full salvoes whenever "Octavias"-voice part comes, works like a charm with Amagi -> maybe I should try that more often. (honestly go and listen, the track is really neat!) So after obligatory Pony, I even got a anime treat for you guys! Yeah thats right, and it doesnt even contain Pony (a shame, I might fix that soon tough). This sums playing this game up so perfectly there are simply no words needed (and I plain love it ). gonna send the replay to Loran. ^^ €: Checked, apparently that was the 21st highest damage game ever on EU (of those tracked players?) ...... Also that battle did cost me 1 karma, netto. Only thing missing is probably the hackusasation ... but what do you know? There could have been one; you cant see it, if its not in your own team- or the the global-chat.

    Its not "Fun" and "Unique" if its not completely p2w. Anyone that still hasnt realised that by now? Remember what the first reaction to it was after the now established standard of p2w? "Its a shitty-version of Iowa for +/- 100 €, I am not getting that!". And so WG listened: Its now a way better p2w-Iowa that maybe only a few will get (because of the hefty price), but I am betting it will still earn them more than enough .... There are hordes of players demanding "fun" and "unique" premiums that will buy more than enough to compensate in the meantime.

Got errors for a not found file during installation. Tried again several times, no change. Ingame I had no sound at all. Same Mod selection minus Duke Nukem and it works normally without any incidents.
  9. You dont really dont get it, do you? Angled DD = auto bounce. Cruiser switches to HE = turret godmode, depletion godmode, impenetrable armor for any cruiser HE-shell that isnt 300 mm. Cruiser switches back to AP with shell flight times of 8+ seconds = DD is angled again when the shell land. I drew you even some pictures: and combined: And now remember: A cruiser is supposed to be the Kabas hard counter ....... Bad news: If the Kaba cant evade torps, no cruiser of his MM spread can. Since cruiser are supposed to counter DD we need to drastically make them more manoeuvrable so they can avoid all the torps a Kaba cant. Thats what you are suggesting? I allrady explained why its easier to shoot, and damage! them with BB guns. If you didnt get it by now I wont bother. Again I already told you I am on the way there and how. I also already explained what is wrong in great detail. And last but not least I want balanced and fair ships. I am arguing against a future OP toy for me here as well, and unlike some others I act acordingly: I dont get p2w-ships. I do have a Murmansk but since its p2w I refuse to play it outside co-op. Go figure, I want a balanced Kaba! Thats includes arguing for a change on the ridicules armor in this case. Doesnt it bother you in the least I am not agruing against the Udaloi? Most people would get a hint from there. Here is whats left to shoot on the Udaloi with Turret-godmode and SS-depletion godmode taken into acount: Notice the difference? Are people really so willing to be turning a blind eye when it comes to their OP-toy potentially being touched?

    SLI workaround

    Update since there is now MSAA available in the ingame options: 8x MSAA 8x MSAA with FXAA aka that stupid-blur-filter. Disclaimer: I dont have experience with the performance of the new ingame AA during battles. I would say if you can afford 4 x SGSSAA go with that as its superior to ingame 8x MSAA - as you would expect. In total this is still a welcome yet massivly overdue addition (we reached the mid 90. -> YAY! ) since it covers the ground between the Eye-Cancer of no AA or FXAA and the expensive hights of multiple samples of SGSSAA. If you own a NVIDIA I would recommend that you try to determinate what lvls of SGSAA and ingame MSAA you can afford and decide for yourself which one does look better. If you are a lazy bastard you can simply go for the ingame AA and still enjoy better IQ. ^^ I still need to do some experiments if I get the time and motivation so expect some additional info on the matter.

  13. Lets apply that "cruiser mindset" to it. Ever seen what Yamato AP shells do to cruiser at 7 km? Well I certainly remember the very special occasion I hit a Tashkent, not even a heavily armored Kaba, from 6-7 km with AP in a Hipper. I did hit 7 out of 8 shells so my aim wasnt that bad, I guess, and RNG was on my side .... except all those shell bounced because shitty cruiser guns only overmatch 14 mm of armor and those ships conveniently got more. So coming from a "cruiser mindset (if it get hit by said Yamato)" that would/should be a one-shot on the DD to, since he obviously got armor s'il te plait. Even without this really unlucky incident you regularly bounce of with AP and do 0 damage with HE due to depleted-section Godmode and turret-godmode. Its only the Kaba that goes too far (the Udaloi has most of the characteristic bar the ridiculous armor) with having the cruiser grade armor As for the second question: I am already at the Kiev which is a way better cruiser than most of the shitty non-p2w-cruisers. Considering thats T 7 and 4 T8 are my peak ships + I could buy a Ibuki for ages, but wont since I wont buy a shitty cruiser for my first T 9: I am already on my way to OP-Land. The thing that keeps me back is also that I need to have a AFT captain ready for low-range Trashcan, which again, without p2w isnt that easy of a task and takes some time to prepare. But it still plays second fiddle because I _need_ to have Bismarck in my port first.

    Coop battles.

    Depends on the player. I hated the Bayern so much I played 21 games in pvp and then 84 games in co-op to get through that thing. Disclaimer: Bayern after 23 games in pvp: ~79 k avg damage. (I still hate that thing!) Now I am at the Gneisenau fully upgraded with 32 games and ~ 81k avg damage. I dare to say I managed that switch pretty smoothly. I also did grind a lot of other lower tier ships almost exclusively in co-op and only latter played them in pvp, eg because a division mate was grinding that line. I for example at the T 4 british cruiser ........ co-op only ofc. Damn I didnt notice that. Thats really disgusting, even better since it came without a single word - but nothing you wouldnt expect of WG by now. And I was actually going to defend them with a reference to the 50 % battlefee cashback, but thats redundant now, obviously. I concur with the whole post.
  15. Its needs to be shot by half the team while being cought in a bad situation .......and then yes, it dies like anything elso would. Except AP bounces and (most) HE cant penetrate. The reasoning behind DDs not having a citadel was that they got no armor ..... so WG thinks: Screw that, lets give this one armor and STILL no citadel. Mighty russian paper boat gets so much armor that you need at least BB HE shells to go through. If you manage to hit and damage it somehow it ofc gets depletion. You know, that flip-side of the coin with olol-random-detonation one one side. So I get it, at a certain point you can do no more damage to a section, but guess what: This is how depletion IRL looked, and now take a guess where turret A on the NO is ...... and how well Turret B is doing. They can keep their arcady approach for indestructible equipment for the sake of gameplay, but for the sake of game balance every sane being might want to reconsider indestructible equipment AND godmode for that section towards further damage, are a little bit to much combined. Right now the turrets also practically eat an infinite amount of damage, so thats another godmode zone right there. So the armored zones are a nono, the turrets just eat the damage without consequence and the rest of the ship randomly gets godmode and there isnt a citadel which on any other ship is the only place that cant get depleted. So you you are forced to aim for 1 pixel father to the left, but not 2 pixels or else you hit the armor, something with godmode or outright miss, at a ship going half lightspeed with a ruddershift of plain ridiculous. Sounds legit. Can I borrow some of that godmode to strap it on my cruisers? I rather shoot them with BB guns because there at least the shellspeed is not complete useless crap and the AP occasionally doesnt bounce and the HE can actually get though the armor. Doesnt help with godmode of the turrets and depletion-godmode but .... its something. Ofc that totally sounds like being hard countered by cruisers, doesnt it?

  17. Well after a period of barely playing pvp anymore, I had a pretty good day yesterday. And some even before that. Like 100k+ in the Hipper, but I will restrict myself to 3 screens, one for every class. Yep, even the cruiser one would be better, but I made the mistake of taking Kuma over Clemson ,which, without a citadel, is a way better cruiser anyway. Usually anything that isnt a cruiser is a way better cruiser anyway. Punishment came quickly with double citadel through the bow (apparently, you dont angle in this game if you drive a cruiser, you present your broadside and hope for overpenn/rng) and a 10 k damage game. _________________ First game in the Shores with the stock hull, 3rd Witherer ever. Yep, Shores, that right and no typo. I promptly ran myself aground tactically 2 times ....... This thing is OP, until of all sudden it isnt because you are dead. Oddly enough, if you look at the screen above you will see: This is THE ONLY GAME I actually survived. This is how you should play, If you survival rate exceeds your winrate you are doing it wrong. Cant understand people complaining about the armor of this ship: Its as useless as any other cruisers armor against battleships. Rather, its downside it the size and that it turns like a Amagi with the Helmsman shot dead .... ___________ Oh and this game. Prayed to RNG-Krom to grant my my wish: Killing the enemy König so our König wouldnt get any experience from capping. This damn parasite of a coward ran away even before the enemy was spotted and was out of position/behind the battle/out of his own range at least by 2 squares the whole damn battle. We could have very well lost this but RNG-Krom did heed my call ..... __________ And this one. I dunno if there wasnt a better Clemson game but this was special. There were two useless CV on our side. Now thats not the surprise. Its how beyond selfish a [edited]one of them was. Airfield doesnt know he has a engine so DD comes for him, ofc screeching like a little girl for help, and one of my division mate saves his lousy [edited]. Meanwhile I and another division mate got rid/shot up the enemy CVs - aside from capping and keeping us in the game ofc. For at least 7 minutes I was BEGGING our sky-cancer for a spot. Neutral at first and then ofc "less neutral". He had no other use for his god damn fighters, nor did he use them for _anything_. I guess even spotting damage cant convince those stupid idiots to actually stop stroking themselves for long enough to do ONE lousy right click to send their idle fighters to spot a area. Guess whats the icing on the cake? He got "surprised" again. This time by a Swine-lana class cruiser that came exactly the route I asked him to spot and got promptly sunk. If only CVs had a engine to move and commendable spotters to check the most obvious approach routes .... Its such a breath of fresh air when a division mate plays a CV, because I never ever felt the urge to teamkill them ....

  20. We all know that this game uses none linear rewards. What is means is, that some guy who managed to drag his [edited]out of spawn and to hit like 5 shells gets disproportionate reward compared to what a player, that is already carrying and then hits additional 5 shells for the same effect, would get. Well in co-op its easy to demolish half the enemy team alone given the right circumstances, but even in PvP, every time the rewards seemed extremely punishing for the good players. OFC there is difficult to know all about all facts, like did someone cap/decap? I was curious about the matter for quite some time now. So I simply went ahead and did a little calculation approach to see if my feelings were justified: First of the data: I had better matches than this with 7 kills and even higher damage, but I usually forget to take the relevant screens for the database. In this case we have a solid-botclub match with 6 kills and at first glance killed roughly half the enemy team alone. I picked this match since it was not domination and even no capping/decapping at home bases was involved. Ofc being a T 1 match also meant leaving out planes, heals etc - which mad calculating stuff a lot more easy. There are several unknown factors tough, like "tanking-" and "spotting-xp". Well lets just say I did drive right into enemy, and if anything disregarding spotting and tanking will probably _lower_ my impact in the game compared to how it actually was. Another thing I dont know is if kills really do count for 15 % of the whole ship-xp-pinata ...... I tried both variants and at least in this case is not much of a difference since only 1 ship I fired upon, I didnt kill. The error margin is thus comparative small. Bigger problems are the tuned earnings per ship. We all know that a CV, since they are so OP, earns less than other ships - or even within classes: That a Pensacola earns more for the same thing than a Myoko. While this is true, I dont believe it plays a large role on T 1, and thus is only a negligible source of error on T1; another reason why I selected a T 1 game in the first place. Part 1 of the table should be self explanatory. Again accounting 15 % for a kill is no big deal. Part 2 shows the relative XP distribution and puts my (more than) half of this botmatch against what XP the others got combined for the other half of the match. I left out the guy that was sadly not afk, but maybe a bot (hopefully) and got that single XP point ....... And the result is baffling to even insulting. If we take into account that we probably got also the highest potential damage and all that crap, we only got _half_ of what the other 6 got combined for less than a half of this games work. Part of the reason for this thread is to see if there a flaw in my considerations, because this seems outright ridiculous punishing for any play that is not outright dragging his team down, let alone carrying.

    You guts feeling is even put way to mildly. I have yet for example call out any of the CCT WG on p2w. Its only "overpowered" maybe even with the added "broken", but uttered in a enthusiastic "let get this now!"-kind of way; which is usually added right away in the video anyway. But yeah, overpowered, like any other silver ship can be; except those are not paid for by coin, and can and will be nerved - if history told us anything. I will tell you exactly what will happen: Everyone will flock to this ship like flies to shi7, which is coincidently a very very fitting analogy. There will be reasoning like "if you cant fight them" or "I still get one-shotted"(thank good all other silver cruisers are not shitty xp-pinatas /s) but in the end there will be nearly 0 complaints about how this is shi7 is hurting the game, or how they ruined yet another historical ship with p2w. (Ofc there are still collectors that would even buy a Mikasa-equivalent on T7; but the point is here, that basically no one will hesitate or even refuse to buy just because its so brokenly overpowered) Like for example: If there is a somewhat fitting 1:1 alternative to the shitty silver ship, its completely pointless to drive that (aside from grinding through, but hey since paying is the selected speed, might as well free-xp) one compared the p2w equivalent already. So, in the long run there will be the following groups: 1. T1 cruiser that play in their own little sandbox. Maybe we can also put T2 in here, but nah, those are already affected by stuff like König Banknote on T 3. T3 and 4 will be obviously firmly in p2w hand with King Banknote and OPerator and those are still considered the learning stage for new players. Remember the BS WG told about protecting new players on those tiers? Well damn, getting shot to shi7 by the OPerator without any chance by a experienced seal clubber is ofc something completely different if it fills WGs purse. 2. Premium ships, given enough time for them all to be introduced, rendering their comparable silver ship entirely obsolete. 3. Shitty silver peasant ships. They guys with the green bills paid for a Safari, so they need some oblivious meat to shoot at, after all ....... 4. T9-10. While those are not premium ships per se, they basically require either a ridiculous amount of invested time getting clubbed by p2w ships in shitty silver ships, or premium time, or premium ships, to sustain them. So while they are not premium by definition they are sort of a White Elephant in a sense that you have to shell out real coin one way or another, if you want more than a port decoration. If we then add for how, eg, the Yamato shi7s on the Amagi, or any T 10 cruiser on the T8 cruiser, and the fact they will be always top tier ........ they are kinda premiums by proxy. They are certainly overpowered (compared to what they usually meet) enough for that and cost real coin one way or another to run. So yeah, p2w-by-proxy is certainly the best way to describe them. Ofc not everyone will have only premium ships, so its alternating between silver-peasant and p2w-overlord; which suits the main goal: Either frustrating people enough to shell out money, or stay and be target practise for anyone at nearly equally skilled and willing to shell out coin. The only risk Wargaming is facing is if they overdo it, and people finally turn away in disgust. Looking at, eg. Prinz Eugen and the upcoming p2w-OP-Cancer as the most recent two premium ships and peoples reaction to them: I can not see that turning point any time soon. Maybe if they release their own version of the aim assist in the premium store; which at this point honestly wouldnt surprise me at all ......
