  1. CosMoe in the enemy team early this morning (just a few minutes) ago. I didnt notice until now that I saw the name while posting in the achievements thread. Put a few shells including a cit into his T 8 cruiser towards the end of the game, but tbh we essentially had no contact and I was to busy at the time to even notice the name: Stearing clear of islands, avoiding being craped on by air and shooting at CosMoe at the same time.
  2. .... and against T 3 ships even! *bell ringing intensifies* *scnr* Nice carries ...... that ranger game tough. 7 freaking kills and damage to no end ........ its almost comedic. €: Hell I just see now that I got CosMoe on the enemy team in my game. Put a cit into his Atago, but tbh I was kinda busy with shooting AND dodging balanced air-lances at the same time.
  3. Well only 1 game played, so that narrows is down anyway. 2k shy of Witherer. CV farm -> denied. double- You know when you are playing a cruiser doing this to a CVs is basically the holy grail (well maybe that and a quad fire on a salty BB too ): Tbh this isnt so much about me, but instead about our CV. You know, T 8 CV in a BT 10 battle is useless, right? Well hell no if the captain is competent. On the other hand a T 10 cruiser needs help from his CV to defend against the other one -> balanced comrade! Love this cruiser, so far I have only been punished when I was playing like a greedy noob and thus rightfully. I still have way to little experience on it ...... like on the AP usage. Well time will tell - at least now the captain is fully retrained.

    Back from actually talking about the game to the original goal of the thread! Its still going to be on the topic of the game ... somewhat at least. A heavy cruiser? With tipple barrelled turrets? With the Sun as a Cutiemark? I guess the Sunpraising just has doubled as this spells Banjo/Senjo for me. (Ofc AO and Blogis will have to wait for animated version of the already visible breeze to get a similar "vision" compared to Blogis Takao.gif !!!) (Went to bed early yesterday, so its no wonder I am already up, complete with breakfest etc ........ but damn, the one instance you could sleep like the dead you body just goes: Nope, I wont let you put any in the "sleep-bank".)

    Readable edition. You do realise that since quite a few patches back the costs solely depends on consumable replenishment, battle-fee, ammo cost - thus how much you earn/lose is determinate by that + the earned rewards site? btw: I get confused by +/- 2,5 mio like all hell. So you got a fluctuation of 5 mio or what? Sorry, but I gotta ask for further explanation because I simply dont understand.
  6. So WG is working on improving co-op ...... which means there is nothing to show - as usual. I got a simple recommendation to immediately improve co-op at low cost (ah the magic words, right?): How about removing maps that are completely unsuitable for co-op? How about all the ridiculously huge maps - for only 8 ships - in the higher tiers? How about removal of the [edited] map for co-op that there is? Two Brothers. Bastion-Mode an other incidents clearly show that WG cant figure it out on their own - so I will have to tell them: There are 3 ways that are mutually exclusive. If you pick the "wrong one" there is nothing to shoot. Your bots are bad around island as it is, you have a small channel that randomly 0-5 bots will use. Which is the same [edited] we get in random pvp - monkey see, monkey do. Every sane programmer would just outright exclude the middle route to use for the bots and try to ensure a simple even split in terms of left/right, to give a good example of what players should do in random, but its WG, you cant expect even that. So have a solution that even WG should be able to do: Throw that map out of the co-op rotation. €: And while you are at it: Remove detonations from co-op as well or have at least the curtsey of handing out those flags for the detonation!

  9. I actually dont know whats a good result for the Banjo ......... but I am still exited about every Witherer. In the beginning I smacked a enemy DD with a solid long range 8 k salvo - got taken out pretty soon afterwards before I could even reload. At this point I really thought: we got his; little did I know ..... Tried to carry, but that team ........ omg what a roflstomp - only 3 of them killed. Even if I adjust for the 50 % win bonus, that second last Amagi got more xp than the majority of our side ..... you simply cant carry this - I dont think even a full division could have.
  10. True, but it like 10 times worse in co-op. In pvp find you either still something to shoot up, or you can push up unopposed to their spawn and pincer them. Not so in co-op .... the bots may be annihilated already or on a merry DD-hate infused chase ...... Bonus points for when its late and you are in a slow-ish ships and gets lots of friendly bot DDs on your side that proceed blyat-rush ahead to torp its mirror from 0,7 km. . That something was a bot DD that also went middle ..... and 5 ships lined up for the reception. So "realistic" ..... just like what happens to the idiots in pvp. From the other thread: A example what DD-hate infused rage-hunt can do ....... + A few? ....... just pick one.
  11. Well in that case: I have no idea. I guess you were right with WG programming; so this thing, as simple as programming a damn counter may be, WG still got it wrong - must be yet another example like stronk-carrier-UI and completely-balanced-empty-chat. btw: Be careful, ramming damage will usually only not-decrease the counter. Doing some damage like a stray shell might add a game or two.

    I just randomly derped into the thread and immediately: This - and for the loading onto the ship too! I dont care for some SC which I never get anyway (which is ok, because a really good drop would mean a p2w ship which I cant use anyway; and a rather mediocre drop -> who cares), I usually only grab a container because else the games randomly chooses for me. ....... but then there is that stupid boring animation that is unskippable. I often hammer esc in the vain hope of escaping back to the menu. WG is lterally making mistakes again that should belong to a decade old 8 bit game ..... Just listen to that (till 1:02) and then tell if it doesnt fit perfectly?
  13. Dont know - I am not pink often enough ( ) to know a pattern. Usually this is due to having started at least 2 games before the first one finished. Example: Started game A -> Counter 18. Started game B while A was still underway -> Counter 18. Game A finishes -> 18 -1 = Counter 17. Game B finishes -> 18 -1 = Counter 17. However this is afaik erroneously displayed only, the server should have still taken account of those games correctly, so this means after game C, started after Game B ended, you should see a 15 provided that you dont to anything pinkie-ish.
  14. It was a detonation, trust me. WG doesnt have the curtsey of at least handing out the flags or medals for it. So if you get detonated/detonate somebody in co-op there is no immediate way to tell; and in co-op even the usual excuse: "Mount the flags you get from it", simply doesnt apply.
  15. This is what "co-op DD-Hate" looks like. I mean jeez ...... .... fucked up in the end, should have put 2 torps on the Myogi and 4 on Wymoming - not the other way around - and both would have been dead. also about that island: ...... and that rock is mine. MINE I tell ya! Question for the forumites: What attracts more shrapnel, a spotted DD in co-op or a shitty (non premium) T8 cruiser in a BT 10 game with 5-6 BBs? Tough choice, I know ......

    Pony-block -> to cute for any slaps or any kind of spankings. God I love the Banjo - yesterday I played her solo. Game wasnt particularly good - only 1500 xp (300 behind the top dog) but considering the circumstances: Cruiser held up to my expectations totally. It was literally noob team vs noob team. Both deployed 3/4 of their forces to one, and only one cap with DDs mingling a B (which we lost, ofc). I tried to help our DD and scored some hits on their german hydro DD but since I was on the side with whole enemy fleet and very little friendlies, the focus was downright insane! Ofc it had to be a cyclone game. No noob on noob slugfest is complete without a "necessary buff" for BBs on top. You can defend b from sitting in either sidecap (provided vision), but not if theres a cyclone (due to viewrange) and not if you dont own it in the first place. So I wanted them to get B and the ones being south take the flanking route. One DD had already bogged down several ships, but the noobs still went all A so more ships could be bogged down by a single DD guarding the entrance. Meanwhile: Moar focus from ... from, well, the whole rest of their ships from c. I took this screen of the previous chat when I had the time (disengaged, knowing the Kurfürst would be save soon in the cyclone and could take the focus alone for short), getting around a island and planning on linking up with the noobs at b and sitting with them for the inevitable turkey shoot: You literally have to tell them everything ..... (needles to say: rest of the team is pure pro on the "radio silence" ) Second part was directed at a lonely Hipper not linking with the rest at b, aka potentially feeding the enemy a cruiser for free. Damage wasnt great - only ~100 k - owning to firing on continuously changing targets (the had tons of island covers after all - and no one to really light them up from our side) + no one helping with HE keeping their dam. con. budy - so I couldnt keep them burning, and when it came to the end ...... well let just say it went as expected: Their 3/4 undauntedly fighting 2 of our ships came one by one into view range of our noob-fleet massed at b. T 10 BBs going down within 10 seconds ...... thats quite a sight ..... and sad. And considering the noobs on our side, they would have been more than happy to play the part of the turkey themselves if not for being told otherwise. Aside from a cyclone-engagement with a Edinburgh I took very little shell hits - even with that insane focus: 3 from a Yama, 3 from a Roon and 1 Kurfürst-shell. Not a single citadel! I dare to say if not for me soaking up their (missing!) fire and holding them on c, the cyclon would have hit, enemy fleet would have boxed them in on a, and they would have been slaughtered to no end. I noticed I have better attention/anticipation of enemy fire and better spead-gauge play/manoeuvring if not on TS/with a division, but thats a price I play gladly, because frankly, I prefer the company of fellow forumites over telling asswipes how to not play on behalf of the enemy side.

    HE Ammo is OP as HELL

    Your hit ratio and damage numbers say ...... no. Another fact: Citadels my be RNG-ish, but raw hitrates are not. The higher the range of the ship, the less you hit ...coincidence? ... why could that be? Pro-tip: If you want to hit, get close. Effective gun range - aka random cruiser deletion occurs reliably around 15 km or less for Kongo/Fuso. So if the cruiser can shoot you, you can outright delete him - rule of thumb. For example I use the secret W-W-W-W-hack at the beginning of the match, so my BB hitrates are usually only worse by a few % compared to my cruiser. (varies with ships obviously). Lets do some simple math: So your survive in your Kolberg only 2 minutes engaging the enemy? ......... Well sorry to say but you gotta not only work on your BB-aim, BB-bravery and BB-positioning - but also on your cruiser skills. Flash news: Often ~half of the (properly aimed) HE shells do nothing (and if you got a cl and he/ap you can outright go screw yourself anyway), HE has a very low base dmg, can (on a BB) only deal 33 % of that low-to-beginn-with-damage-rating and if you want anymore damage you gotte enlist in the damn firey lottery that that takes ages to kill a BB, can be put out multiple times and completely healed back -> So yeah, think again. I ll be completely honest: BB are the most catered to class by WG and most OP-towards-their-supposed-prey-class in the game (CVs are more op, but not only against the supposed prey but all other classes) - they just shi7 on cruisers. I know, because I play both. You may not want to hear this, but a pointless whine-thread will get you no where. Esp. with those baloney pulled-out-of-a$$ numbers you are only making yourself a laughing stock: Want to know what the avg. damage for a T 5 cruiser is? Between 18-30 k. So according to your calculation those cruisers survive 1-2 minutes after being engaged. If anything they need a buff so not every noob who cant aim, but got lucky with dispersion for throwing one shell widely into a cruisers cit, can randomly hurt a proper played cruiser. Not even talking about people who are really able to aim and just go omnomnom when the see a cruiser. For the most part its very consistent on cruisers: Random citadels from all angles - maybe from even only one shell going rogue; thats the reality for most cruisers.

Always good to see forumites (which is rather rare in co-op)! .... at least this time I didnt forget to empty the ever available compliment bank on them. (I couldnt torp the Kurfürst for the live of me (those 2 torp hits later were work!). Hell I even grounded myself to get the other launchers on him, since his guns were pointing the other way).

    I dont think it was meant with any ill intent. ;) ......... but yeah, I too (usually) dont bother playing solo - in a sense that I dont play at all (outside co-op) when I am solo. Its not that I cant do anything without a division - I got my 3,5 base xp game in Pensa solo - its just that this games sucks such astronomical a$$ its simply unbearable. In a division we can at least b1tch on ts. ^^ Same reason I cant play ranked. Over all the Seasons my WR is (with a very low amount of games played, mind you) 60 % - but I just cant play this game mode because its everything thats bad about the random pvp, but like amplified a few times. Anyway what I was trying to say is: I to stoped playing solo basically ........ a year ago or so. I defo would have left the game by now without forumites and I cant see going back to solo in force. If anything I would try to berserk for a season of ranked ........ and thats very unlikely.

Yeah well, we gotta leave names for a employee- clan too, dont we? btw: Perfect 8 kill co-op game earlier today - well its a WG game so I got exactly what you would expect, nothing not even a small easter egg, but hey, who needs them anyway? Thats better. Dunno if it beats eg. the nearly 3,5 k base xp game in Pensa (no caping ) but its definitely amongst my top games. Last but not least - hope a fellow Scrub got got news yesterday..... well if not, Nurse Redheart helps and if the news were good .... well the answer is still Nurse Redheart. Get well soon!
  24. It has finally happened! The PERFECT co-op match; 8 enemies, 8 kills! Kill stealing level reached: Loran. ;) but shows that even for something rare like that (It took me over 3k battles)*1), there isnt anything in the game, no matter how little or easter egg-ish it might be. Its not like you can plan to just get all the kills and repeat it every 10 games or so ....... but I suppose thats typical WG for you. *1) Ofc you could really just do games in which you do no damage, but instead wait for the last shot. Could work given the right luck, but thats not how I play, and thats also clearly not like I played that very game.
