That something is called playing a cruiser when there are CVs in the queue: I have already made a list of about US cruisers, the supposed AA nation, and which of them are good/acceptable garbage. I think out of 9 that could have met a CV, I came up with 2 goods, 1 barely acceptable and the rest garbage to an absolute joke. So yes, a T 9 CV daring to attack my Pepsicola should mean exactly those severe losses, i.e. I get to live while he runs out of attack planes. So for a Taiho and his 83 planes being 5/7 attack that would be ..... 60 planes - roughly. Now tell me, how much HP do you think that Pensa has left after an Taiho thats not a complete idiot going all out on him? Also guess what? A CV doesnt even have to strike to delete a cruiser. Since their AA is so incredible shít and completly unreliable for defence, you can decide between the "multi citadel salvo that will never miss", and the other multi-citadel salvoes which comes in the form of the rest of the maps ships. So the CV can either erase the cruiser by himself, or after proxy-deleting him, punish anyone else around for "being alone" = not at least 5 ships within 6 km. Yes the target selection, because after realising he screwed up and deciding to try his luck elswhere, no one else can magically reach the other side of the map within 2 minutes. I have to have sympathy here with high tier BBs even. The rather usual 1 minute isnt even enough for them to get their rudder to one side, and then back to the other because CV decided he is going to feast on him. Oh yes, they are so easy to drop that asuming a CV player that actually knows what he is doing, not even the DDs can evade them. So truly a cruiser with the speed and turning radius near that of a BB can all of a sudden. Btw, Id like to buy that cruiser as I would have good use for it. Not at all. Since you love teamplay so much we only got to nerf them to a point where having 5 CVs in the game isnt a disaster any more; and all of those 5 attacking my Pensacola simultaneously and coordinated are needed to stand any chance of sinking me. Ofc I still want to take out lots of planes in that case because as we learnt from the CVs, getting send home hungry is cruel. Lets say I am driving a Nürnberg and 1 US HE Bomb hits me. Thats around 3 k damage because balanced (rahter more and fires etc, but lets lay low for the moment). 3k damage are ~ 11 % of my total health. The Saipan that dropped that on me has 48 planes which means I should shoot down 5-6 of them just to be equal. It should totally be rather 6-8 to get the better deal out of that. Oh yes plz, I dare you to go to the any recommendations page and demand that right now because then we could get one step closer to balanced cruisers. Since I have absolutely no issues deleting Myokos in a Kongo, said Saipan should have no chance in hell of killing a Nürnberg before running out of planes. You mean the reserve thats resting folded below the deck and require an assembly of hours? Yes I am all for CVs throwing them overboard at the beginning of the game. Ofc there is the enemy CV as well; if there is any. To many BB-driver-equivalent-in-a-CV around ...... The problem arises that the list of real obstacles for a CV basically ends there. We are not on that point yet. Its the CV metastasising into cruisers - their supposed counters. It even has a term: Immune-evasion and CVs have done that for far to long already. CVs only a love-stroke onto their fingers because they were the true premium ships of even T10 ......... and WG wouldnt allow that.

This. If they rather sit in queue with their BBs forever, they might leave the game, switch class or die of old age. I dont see anything wrong with either of the 3 options and especially the last one appeals to me because it reminds me of the glorious days of high tier CV, all queuing up to be able to ruin games for everyone else - crying because there werent enough lamps queuing up for our heroes in T10 CV who refused to play anything else than their premium-moneymaker. In short: If they refuse to pick something else and rather rot in queue until they run the risk of dying due to old age: Would also vastly improve MM for mixed divisions that bring anything else BESIDES BalancedBoats.

Just keep ranting, I am sure WG will look into the matter and then release upgrades for doubloons/premium shop only that ARE actual upgrades. I can already see it: 2ndary upgrade with + 30 % rof, +30 % range - 50 % dispersion - only € 14,95. Advertisement: "Markus Shills choice for the Tirpitz! Buy now!"

Since when do CVs drop from a range that actually allows to doge? They throw those torps just far enough to arm. Even auto-drops are not from max range. If my AA in a cruiser was strong enough so CVs would be forced to torp me from max range, thats 3,5 k for US, right? - then I would have 0 problems, it would still potentially require to give broadside to the whole map of BBs and other ships, but it would least give you a chance. True but only if the turret loss becomes only relevant once all the other turrets are destroyed too, because as long as there are reserves to fill the gaps the striking power of a CV gets permanently reduced by 0,0-repeating %. And lets say he runs out of TB reserves, still means he can strike with those in the squads ......... and the divebombers ....... and there is still OP-recon ...... and even cap/play decoy/spot with the CV itself, because CVs are amongst the fastest ships with great camo and BB HP and sometimes even armor, balanced comrade. Thing is, before the CVs runs out of planes he has already feasted ...... If every citadel I take on a cruiser only takes off a turret, and I only get any reduction in fire power after ALL turrets + 1 are gone, guess how many cruiser players would object to that.

No happy ending for today: Lost this one because you havent lived before you have seen a random rock in the see grow incrustation by several super-heavy BBs - meanwhile the enemy got all the caps. I mean we killed 1, ONE of them ....... I bet one the Ibukis, which I simply ignored and dodged, enjoyed probably his 700-800 double a lot! ____________________________ and then this game: because you know: DDs have actually working camo. If battleships can get better stealth than base Zao, thats balanced! If you are not allowed to turn anymore because you are inside the event horizon the brown-hole of a BB (around 15-17 km) thats also balanced. If you stealthfire them, thats but getting lit up by said working camo DDs for insta. deletion, well, thats ofc balanced again. So I cant find a DD with only 50 % my spotting distance that is also faster than I am without their help (and get torped for free over and over again, spamed from smoke with HE, citadeled from smoke with AP if I try to torp the smoke), I cant counter a BB, I am certainly not countering any CVs ....... wtf do I play cruisers again? Oh thats right, to get fúcked even more by WG when it comes to handing out the rewards. My apologies in advance, I was busy rage quitting and only have that accidentally taken pic from during the game (wrong F-key) besides the teampanel. So thats over 100 k damage - lets assume mostly on BBs (some shells on DDs and a Roon), I did kill the whole of a DD, did some more damage to 2 other DDs but couldnt sink them dodged a shitload of torps, and shells, spotted some more torps with hydro while screening friendlies, probably got some spotting damage as well, 1 full, one partial cap .......... and thats only the equivalent of 2 k base on a win?! Dear Wargaming, for creating the most hostile cruiser environment ever and then even stealing the breadcrumbs from the plate of those starving, you truly deserve, again, the SirFoch-Salut: FochYou, and have a nice day.

1. Nothing less than around one third of the whole team (and thats without asuming the 1-2 CV slots) massed in one spot - and it didnt stop him... 2. He should have gotten NO damage whatsoever - and thats part of the main problem, because depending on the circumstances that could have been an unrepairable flooding or whatever. 3. He lived - he should be dead for that attempt alone and his cv-pts in your teams bank and taken out of the enemies. 4. He attacked elsewhere because he magically pulled moar planes out of his [edited]. Guess next time I go between 4 ships in my cruiser, die, dont give them my pts, still do good damage to them, and then just respawn after a few minutes. And oh, yeah, If I die 4 times, that equals 1 sole kill divided amongst those that did sink me (but they still dont get my pts). That would be fun.

So lets say you score 100 HE shell shits with your Atago - 5-12 fires are perfectly fine and to be expected without any divine RNG intervention. €: I specifically ignored the pic, because it doesnt tell me anything about the fire status of the targets you were shooting at. ;)

Rules of thumb from a cruiser player: Your 203 HE shells do around less than 300-500 damage/hit on avg. - depending on the tier and nation (german to IJN Zao) and ofc subject to target depletion which can lower or bump that number sometimes significantly, so you need a lot of games to be taken into account. Your 203 HE shells only have less than half of the advertised fire chance. A caused Fire does 1-3 k damage on avg. (depending on tier obviously, and then more on the target burning. Lots of fire do no or barely no damage at all ..... and then there is the tripple fire on a BB that goes for full duration .........so this should be vaguely correct over a lot of games from T5-10). So if you get 60 shell hits, that should be 24k HE damage (depending on how depleted the target is/was), you could get 6 fires that could be 12k damage. 36 k sounds about right as my initial guess with 60 hits would be 35-40 k.

Was (and partially am) pretty pissed off by WG again, that it drove to clean and do chores rather than playing the game: Kitchen cleaning, laundry, vacuuming, etc ..... that kind of things. Ah great day so far. Not only do I have 2 free day ahead, WGs future 2 days (and likely more) are going to be very very busy. I like that. I am also not above to admit that WG taking yet again a self caused nosedive pleases me. WG needs to learn a lot of things and humility is amongst them; if they achieve that by public self humiliation: even better! Ok just to recap: We have Shill and now Mental. If it wouldnt be flouting on people and just taking a leak at WG in gneral I would explore further down that road ....... but on the matter of taking that leak, lets focus again on the matter ahead: 1. WG is (again) outright lying. 2. The Mental guy from EU has been (thx to WG) stripped of any credibility in terms of his statements in the most hilarous way immaginable. Ah ...... and then people wonder when I ask: "Since when is somebody with a WG-Tag a credible source". Truth is: If you are part of the machine you are automatically not trustworthy because it may turn out you tell crap or untrue things without intention or even related to things out of your power. Yesterday I had to hold back from flooding the thread, but today I can write it off as bumping. Yep, definitely: Anyway trying to stay on topic: The game doesnt have subs, but Pony-waifu sure does: I wonder where this is going, and to tbh I cant remember seeing and other submarine ship-waifus yet.

Just had a Pizza because ......... well today was kinda hard. Only game without sucking out completely: Had a multi citadel salvo in the air on their DM. Unfortunately he got smashed before the shells landed so only the hp for 1 cit + the kill. Naturally dying first in the game means he is still in the middle of his team, since had an actually working "W"-Key. for that one. Still, you are wearing that clan tag? You get whats coming to you!

Best part about it. I would love to go great lengths to explain why I call RPF just the "FAG-skill" on ts when I call out direction in the one (1) ship of mine that has it. It has absolutely nothing to do with the sexual preference (and I do mean that!) of the a. captain-skill-user b. captain skill-creator c. the skill itself obviously. I has absolutely everything to do with the captain skill just being a "FAG-skill". Likewise I dont care about which colon the skill did drop out in the first place, but I do care that is has been allowed into the game. This is why playing cruisers is complete and utter búllshit. We pushed B where a Gearing was and occupied most of their fleet (3-4 BBs at times, several cruisers and that Gearing). I screened a friendly Yama with my hydro (with success I might add, a Yama doesnt usually survive with a Gearing just around the corner a few km ahead a pronlonged time) and tanked like a boss with as much wiggling as I could do. Ofc offensively I couldnt do much with only the frontal turrets. When it came to the escape I was completely fucked, as it would have required me to turn in front of multiple high tier battleships and cruisers. It also didnt help that the Yamato got the somoke ...... looking back I am salty but can accept it since he was low. The thing is: How can a cruiser be expected to go in, help selflessly, when he can never expect to get any help in return? Ofc since I couldnt turn around or escape to the sides, the Gearing would get me sooner or later - same Gearing that I couldnt even see most of the time (balanced comrade!) - no surprise there. but hey we occupied their fleet at B and in the mean time the team secured 3 of 4 caps. An obscene amount of spotting damage to go along with those torps spotted for the Yama and a little damage of my own. Sure as hell at least the result screen will reward my sacrifice? So if you are asking yourself the next time, "why oh why is that cruiser spamming from max range, and not helping me" - this is why. I can get more xp and rewards on a loss (yes even xp) by playing like a selfish ásshole and farming random damage. Ofc the WR will suffer, but WR is decided by the random mm anyway. And something specifically dedicated to WG: You know of the Götz-Citation? Very well, have some SirFoch-Citation which is similar; and if you are in doubt which one of them exactly, then just make that all of them! Playing the already shittiest class around in a meta cultivated by WG to be the most anti-cruiser possible and then getting punished for it even on hard earned rewards. Let me tell you, the oxygen thieves are not only the ones playing the game.

I actually made true to the promise to myself in the chan to have ice cream ready by the time of the next WE, and I did buy it on Friday.
